Chapter 37.:

“Come in.” Daniel invited the person who stood behind the door of his office and knocked on the door. It didn’t take long before the door opened and David entered.  

“Good afternoon, sir,” he greeted king Daniel. Daniel lifted his eyes from the papers lying on the table in front of him. The voice of the man told him exactly what kind of news he should expect.  

“Trenton sent me ahead to give you a report, sir. By this time, he should be by the south gate of the city and be on his way to the castle with the girl and her mother.” David reported relatively shortly, but with the most important details. Daniel’s stomach curled inside. Until now, he hadn’t decided how to properly use the girl, if ever.  

“And her father?” Danie
