Callahan’s Point of View

“We had a fuckin deal, Henry,” I said it before I even crossed the threshold.

I stood in his study, the same room where we had shaken hands like men who understood consequences.

Henry did not flinch.

He sat behind his desk, pouring himself a glass of bourbon.

“We took a calculated risk,” he said. Too fucking calm. “And it nearly cost me everything.”

Everything.

I let out a quick breath, a scoff coming out of me. “Everything? That’s your granddaughter.”

I’m ready to curse Callahan out lol he truly doesn’t understand the hurt, anger, and disappointment Orana feels. He thinks a few words should be good enough for her to come back. When it’ll take a lifetime to win her over again. I just hope she doesn’t fall into any of his tricks again.

  • His Rejected Wife: The Billionaire’s Regret   Chapter 251

Darian’s Point of View“Please,” she pleaded, her voice breaking into a whisper.I knew I had fucked up beyond repair, but right now, I was utterly torn apart. In a matter of days, I had lost my child, my best friend, and now I was about to lose my wife, all because I was a fucking asshole who couldn't see what was right in front of him.I held on tight to her, burying my face in her shoulder as I let my own tears fall, feeling her break down in my arms. When she finally pulled away, she put distance between us. She wrapped her arms around her waist, hugging herself to make her frame look as small and guarded as possible.“I’m never letting you go, Sienna,” I rasped, my voice thick with desperation. She pleaded with me again, her eyes wide with heartbreak, but before I could speak, my phone buzzed in my pocket. When Sienna went rigid, I pulled it out and looked at the screen.Blaire.Sienna looked up at me, silent and watchful, waiting to see what decision I would make. Without taking

  • His Rejected Wife: The Billionaire’s Regret   Chapter 250

Sienna’s Point of View“No one will ever want something like you. You disgust me.”My father’s words echoed in my mind as I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror. My skin crawled as I thought of that night when I realized, with clarity, that no one would ever choose me.Because I had fought him the night before, he decided to punish me by taking everyone in the family out for the evening, leaving only me behind. When he came back, he did those despicable things to me... and the next morning, I couldn't even walk. When my mother finally came to my room, I broke down and decided to tell her the truth.“I don’t believe you,” she had said coldly, shaking her head. “Your father would never do something like that.”I pleaded with her. I sobbed and begged, but she chose not to believe me. The day she walked in on him in the middle of the night while he was on top of me, she simply asked him to leave the room. Then she turned to me and whispered that no one could ever know. And no one ever

Darian’s Point of ViewExcept she fucking did. Sienna upped and left me when I needed her.I stood in the center of what used to be her room, my breath hitching as I looked around the space. Most of her things were packed into fucking boxes, labeled and stacked neatly like she had planned this for days. Why didn’t anyone tell me? Why didn’t the staff say a damn word?I yanked my phone out of my pocket and dialed her number. It went straight to Voicemail.“Fuck!” I spat, slamming my hand against the doorframe. I tried again, but she wasn't fucking picking up.The first person I called was that asshole brother of hers.“What the fuck do you want, Darian?” Sean barked the second he answered, his voice dripping with hostility. “Where the hell is my sister? Why the fuck would she be with you after everything you’ve pulled?”He didn't even pause to let me speak. “If you so much as make her cry again, if you bring your fucked-up baggage near her door. I swear to God, Darian, I will personall

  • His Rejected Wife: The Billionaire’s Regret   Chapter 248

Darian’s Point of ViewThe last few hours have blurred by. After we left the hospital, I brought Blaire back to her apartment, and she asked if I could stay.I stayed by her side, watching her cry herself to sleep. Why did it feel so fucking wrong being here? This was my best friend’s sister, a woman I had vowed to always be there for, yet every instinct in my gut was screaming at me that I was in the wrong place. When she finally fell asleep, I crashed on the couch. In the morning, I decided I was heading straight home, but my phone rang. It was Grandpa.I didn’t have time for his shit, but I knew better than to keep ignoring him. He wouldn't give up despite me letting it ring; he just kept calling back-to-back.“Grandpa?” I growled into the receiver.“Come to the house,” was the first thing he said the second I picked up, his tone clipped and unforgiving.I groaned, rubbing my hand over my face. “I have things to do, Grandpa—”“Come home. Now,” he insisted before hanging up.I threw

  • His Rejected Wife: The Billionaire’s Regret   Chapter 247

Sienna’s Point of ViewI stared at Alaina’s apartment building through the windshield, my lips trembling as hot tears spilled over my eyelashes. My father’s voice echoed in the back of my mind, “No one will ever love you.” I had foolishly thought I could find real love, that maybe, just maybe, I could be chosen over someone else. But I guess I was always destined to be alone.I knew I should just get out of the car and go in, but my feet felt like lead. A wave of hesitation washed over me; the best thing to do was just drive away, rent an Airbnb for a few weeks, and figure out my life in silence. But who was I kidding? I didn't even have the money for that right now.I couldn't just barge in and burden Alaina with my mess. Maybe I should call Sean instead. He wouldn’t mind taking me in. He would ask questions, and I would lie to him.But I know Sean would involve Orana, and I can’t lie to my s

  • His Rejected Wife: The Billionaire’s Regret   Chapter 246

Sienna’s Point of ViewI didn’t think I would be standing by the side of my husband, a man who only married me because he wanted to keep his position, but well, shit happens, and here I was with him.We stepped out of the car together after he broke down and I had sat there comforting him. The same man who had broken me.When he pulled over in front of the home where they had been taking care of AJ, he stopped the engine and just stared at the building, frozen. I hated this man, but right now, looking at him, he looked so scared. So small.“Do you want me to come with you?” I offered, my voice soft in the quiet car.He turned his head to look at me; his dark eyes filled with hesitant questioning.“Do you want me to come with you?” I asked again, making sure he knew I meant it.“You... you wouldn’t mind?” he rasped.“Of course not. I’ll be here as long as you need me,” I sa

Orana’s Point of ViewI knew Callahan hated people who didn’t keep time, and he said I had to meet him exactly at ten, which means I have less than two hours to eat, shower, and head to the other side of town with this traffic.By the time I was getting to his office, it was just fifteen minutes be
