My Alpha was gravely wounded in a battle with a rival pack. But I wasn’t worried. I wasn’t even flustered. I let him go, three thousand kilometers away, to be healed. Because in my past life, Damien got himself injured on purpose, all to give his healer mistress, Isla, a shot at glory. Worried sick about him, I forced our pack’s healers to treat him instead. But Isla lost her one shot at fame. Without it, she couldn't secure her place in any pack and eventually killed herself. Damien's life was saved, but he blamed me for her death. He poisoned me, leaving me to die in agony. When I opened my eyes again, I was back. Right before Damien got hurt.

Chapter 1

In my last life, my Alpha deliberately got himself wounded while fighting a rival pack, all to boost the reputation of his healer mistress. Worried about his injuries, I convinced him not to travel for treatment, and it saved his life. And for that, he hated me.

Reborn, I've decided to let him make his own stupid decision. Let them have each other.

"Go to the Moonridge Pack. Now."

Damien's voice, as cold as a blade, came from the bed. A nasty gash from a silver dagger was torn across his leg, and blood was soaking through the bandages, but his eyes burned with a feverish heat.

I stood in the doorway, watching the familiar scene unfold, a cold sweat breaking out on my back.

Last time, Damien was just like this, stubbornly demanding I take him to the distant Moonridge Pack to be healed by Isla. But I was thinking of his safety. I used my own power to stabilize his wound, then forced our pack’s healers to treat him.

But afterward, Isla’s reputation was in tatters. No pack would take her, no one would trust her with their wounded. She was cast out of Moonridge and, with nowhere to go, she eventually died. Before her death, she called Damien, sobbing that I had warned her to stay away... My jealousy, she claimed, had driven her to it.

An enraged Damien poisoned me, and I died a miserable death.

Before I closed my eyes for the last time, he stared at me coldly. "This is your punishment for getting Isla killed."

He forgot that we had pledged ourselves to each other under the watch of the Moon Goddess, him holding my hand and saying, "You are my mate, forever."

He forgot how I stood by him, unwavering, when the former Alpha died suddenly, helping him secure his position.

So this time, I decided to give him what he wanted.

"Moonridge? That's three thousand kilometers away," I said, my voice carefully neutral. "Their healers—"

"I want Isla to heal me. Only her," he cut me off, a familiar obsession glinting in his eyes.

My heart gave a hard thud.

Not from love, but from hate.

Isla. The childhood friend who’d whispered poison in Damien’s ear even as I lay dying.

"Damien, our pack healers are more experienced—"

"Are you questioning me?" He pushed himself up, his Alpha’s power washing over me. "As my Luna, your job is to support my decisions. Without question."

Luna. I gave my life for that title in my past life. This time, I just want to tear it to shreds.

I lowered my head, feigning submission. "Of course not. I'm just worried about your wound—"

"Cut the crap," his voice grew colder. "Elara, do you have any idea what it means to reject your own wolf?"

My head snapped up. Rejecting one's wolf—it was a form of suicide in our world. He was threatening me, using his own life to force me to take him to Isla.

Just like last time.

"Are you insane?" Martha, his mother, burst into the room, her face deathly pale. "Go to Moonridge for that Omega? Damien, are you delirious?"

"Mother, this is my decision," a dangerous light flashed in Damien's eyes. "Isla is the best. She can fix this."

"The best?" Martha shrieked. "That fraud who sleeps her way into favor? She failed basic herbology!"

I smirked to myself. Martha was right, but it wouldn't change anything.

"Enough! That's all bullshit!" Damien roared, and a glass on the nightstand shattered. "I said I want Isla, and I'll get Isla! If you try to stop me, I'll sever my connection to my wolf right now and let it die!"

His hand was already on his chest, his Alpha aura turning chaotic. He wasn't kidding—he was really prepared to kill his own wolf.

Martha’s face went even whiter. "Damien, you can't—"

"I can," he stared at me, his eyes filled with menace. "Unless you take me to Moonridge right now."
