Following his footsteps, Aniya was silently walking behind him. His guards were also following them but he had ordered them to keep at a distance from them. Taking her head upward, she looked at his back. Where was he taking her? Were they going to that press conference now?"I hope we don't need to revise what you need to say in the conference, Ms. Meier," she heard him asking her. His voice was slightly low. Only for her to hear it. Aniya glared at his back as he neither turned around to face her nor stopped his feet from walking."I remember everything that I need to say, Mr Alfanso," she spat, walking behind him. "I need to apologise for a mistake I have not done," His mouth stretched into a grin at her words. So typical of his dear Ms. Meier to say this to him."Well…you are right you have not committed a mistake by disrespecting me that night, Ms. Meier," he spoke and then slightly tilted his head."You have committed a sin," he uttered, earning a growl from her which made hi
"Have you apologised to his wife, Mrs Valery Alfanso because that night you had disrespected her too?" That question froze Aniya completely. She was not prepared for this."Did you apologise to Mrs Alfanso for insulting her in her own exhibition centre inauguration?" That person repeated.Aniya's mouth got shut. She fisted her palms and was about to snap back but his voice halted her."I guess this question shouldn't have been asked in the very first place here," he uttered in his calm voice while looking at that man who had asked that question to her. He decided to take matters into his own hands the moment he realised that she was about to burst out."Because we all have gathered here for taking Ms. Meier's and mine statements regarding those clips and images which had been circulated without our permission, so I would appreciate it if you would keep my wife's name away from all of this," he uttered, with no aggression but the warning hidden behind his words was unignorable."I woul
"Their name is Oliver and Lena and they are my best friends," sitting on the top of the table, the 3 years old toddler was telling her tall uncle about her friends. Different flavours of ice creams, chocolates and other kinds of food and snacks were placed all over her tiny frame on that table she was sitting on."Oliver is a boy and Lena is a girl," she told him, like her tall uncle was the stupidest person alive in existence. He patiently listened to her with a smile on his face and then extended another spoon of ice cream towards her tiny mouth. She happily ate it from his hand as she had requested her tall uncle to feed her after rejecting her mother's help who was sitting on another chair on that same table. While playing with that plate of food in front of her, Aniya's eyes were silently watching her daughter and her daughter's precious tall uncle who were conversing with each other, like her presence had become non existent for them. They were ignoring her completely, especiall
Sliding her palm over her daughter's head who was sleeping on her lap, Aniya was gazing outside through the window of Dario's car. He was taking them back to their home after they left from that place for the press conference.Aniya was silently staring outside while recalling everything that had happened today, especially between him and Flora. His tender behaviour towards Flora was still not settling well with her. Why was he behaving so gently with her daughter? What was his real name behind it?Thinking about those questions inside her head, her eyes were fixed at the window when suddenly her palm shifted a little down towards Flora's forehead. It was feeling scorching hot. Aniya snapped her eyes towards Flora whose head was placed over her lap.Aniya immediately checked her body temperature and it was extremely hot. She was running a high fever. "Flora…" She tried to wake her up but the kid didn't respond. It froze Aniya's heart. Why was she not waking up? She thought Flora had
Standing behind him, Aniya was watching him unlock his penthouse's door. Her toddler was looking too excited to see her tall uncle's home because she was practically jumping in Aniya's arms in enthusiasm. After unlocking the door, he opened it wide for both of them to enter inside. Aniya stepped inside his penthouse and he followed her. After that, he locked the door and stood beside Aniya. Tilting his head, he looked at Flora whose big eyes had gone round with joy and happiness after watching her surroundings. A smile tugged on his face, seeing her adorable reaction. "Did you like my home?" He asked her. The little girl looked at him and immediately nodded her head aggressively. "It is pretty, tall uncle," she answered, making him chuckle. "So want to take a full tour of your tall uncle's home?" He asked to which the kid hurriedly opened her tiny arms wide, indicating to him to gather her in his embrace. With a beam, he followed her wish and took her in his arms from Aniya's.
Aniya immediately pulled back and tugged her strands of hair behind her ear. She looked away from him and focused her gaze on her daughter. She didn't know why but that eye-contact of theirs had made her feel extremely nervous, even when there was nothing in between them which had remained unshielded. He gazed at her and noticed her precious way of ignoring their eye-contact. She loved looking away from him and he hated it with everything."Everything you need for making her dinner is here," he informed her while extending his finger towards some bags which were placed above the centre table. Dario had already taken everything to his penthouse as per his order. "And these are some nightwear and other necessary kids' items for Ora. Check if they would be comfortable for her or not," he pointed towards another bag which was placed just beside the bags of grocery items. Aniya turned stunned. He had thought this much for Flora? She opened that bag and saw a couple of cute floral kids' n
"I….I will die without m…my Ora…. Riccardo," she whispered against his chest while clenching the front of his shirt more tightly in between her fists. Aniya had lost her rational senses to think straight. Now all she could understand and know was that she wanted to reveal her fears to someone which had been buried deeper inside her heart and were killing her brutally from the very beginning. He heard her slow sobs which automatically made him hold her more protectively and securely in his arms. He had never felt like this. In fact, he had never let anyone cry against his chest. He had never held onto someone in his or her breaking state because he himself was a vicious destroyer then how could he fix someone else but right now, witnessing this woman breaking, he wanted to gather her broken pieces in his embrace so that he could fix her again. What was happening to him and why was it happening? Aniya continued to sob against his chest and he didn't stop her. He let her take out her te
"I have missed you a lot, Ric," Aniya heard that woman saying to him. Her eyes were closed whereas a smile was playing on her face as they both were hugging each other. That woman opened her eyes and they fell on Aniya. "Looks like… your special people are here, Ric," that woman said, gazing at Aniya and Flora. Her smile didn't fall from her face. They both pulled apart and he turned around to face her. His gaze fell on Aniya and that scenario looked breathtaking to him. That pair of mother and daughter was looking extremely adorable and alluring, especially in those matching colour fits. He was not aware of these same colour outfits but it was actually more than worth it. Aniya was peering at both of them with a visible confused reaction on her face. "She is Bellyana Delaney," he introduced that woman to her. Aniya blinked at him because that name rang something in her head. She had heard it before but where? "And she is Aniya Meier and her daughter, Flora Meier," That wom
