Part 03

Bright morning in the city of Bandung. But not as bright as an Axelina's heart who saw her mother unconscious in her room. Axelina had a feeling of fear of loss. Axelina took her mother to the hospital by taxi. For now what she prioritizes is the mother. She is willing to do anything for her mother's recovery.

Axelina looked at her mother from the glass door of her mother's treatment room which was being monitored by the doctor in charge of her.

“Hang on, Mom, for my sake. I don't know what my fate is if without you, just imagining it makes my chest hurt. You must be strong, I will try to find money for your operating costs,” said Axelina to herself. Her tears could no longer be stopped. Seeing the condition of the mother who is still critical. She ran towards the hospital garden. Sit alone on a bench prepared by the hospital garden.

Axelina thought of ways to get large amounts of money. She was ashamed if she had to trouble Rio, the boss where she worked. Because Rio has been too good all this time. Axelina doesn't want to trouble Rio anymore. Suddenly Axelina's cell phone vibrated.

Drrtt, drrtt.

Axelina stared at her cellphone, she frowned at a new line of numbers on her cellphone. Axelina tried to think positively. She picked up the call from the new number.

“Hallo Axelina,” said Amar gently. Axelina immediately recognized the voice that was calling her right now. Although she also felt a little strange with Amar suddenly calling her.

“Oh, yes, sir,” said Axelina.

“Where are you now? I was at your house earlier, but there was no one,” asked Amar.

“I'm at the hospital, sir,” said Axelina politely.

“Are you sick?” asked Amar.

“Not me, sir, but my mother,” said Axelina with a heavy heart.

“Which hospital? I'll be right there now,” said Amar attentively.

“No, sir, I don't want to bother you,” said Axelina politely.

“I didn't feel bothered. Quickly give me the address,” Amar said emphatically. Amar tries to lower his ego so he can get Axelina. He doesn't care about the others anymore. For now all he has in mind is Axelina.

“At Albert Hospital, sir,” said Axelina forcefully. Amar immediately mutes the call and rushes to the hospital.

“Hopefully with her mother going to the hospital, I have a chance to get Axelina,” said Amar with a smile. He drove his car at high speed to the Albert Hospital. Even though the distance from his apartment to the Albert Hospital was quite far. But Amar still went there to gain Axelina's trust.

“I'll get you Axelina, no matter what. What I want, there is no 'can't get it' word. A poor woman like you will easily I get,” said Amar. After traveling for about an hour, Amar arrived at the Albert hospital. He parked his car in the hospital parking lot. After turning off the engine, Amar got out of the car and walked towards the hospital. 

Amar takes out his cell phone, and starts tracing using Axelina's number. Not long after, Amar found Axelina's position. Amar berjalan menuju tempat Axelina. After finding Axelina, he approached Axelina who was sitting pensive.

“What are you thinking?” asked Amar, startling Axelina. Axelina turned to look at the origin of the voice that had startled her earlier. Axelina smiled warmly at Amar who sat beside her.

“Why are you here,” said Axelina politely.

“I just wanted to see how you were, especially when I found out you were in the hospital. How is your mother?” Amar asked Axelina. Axelina sighed. Thinking of her mother's current state made her heart hurt so much. The woman she loved with all her heart was lying on a hospital bed with various tools attached to her body.

“My mom is still in crisis, if she doesn't get surgery right away, she can't last much longer. Because the cancer cells have spread in her body,” said Axelina sadly.

“If you allow me, I want to help you,” said Amar.

“No, sir, I don't want to bother people anymore. Moreover, people I just met,” said Axelina politely.

“I hope you don't reject it. Because I help you sincerely from the bottom of my heart,” said Amar full of confidence.

“I apologize sir, I am afraid that I will not be able to repay you,” said Axelina. Axelina looked at Amar. Seeking the truth in every word.

“Dont think to much. Just think of me helping you this as the beginning of our friendship,” said Amar as he pulled Axelina's hand to the administration room to pay for her mother's operating costs. Axelina could not hold back her tears when she was pulled by Amar to the administration room.

“Ma'am, the patient is on behalf of Mrs. Elena Pearl,” said Amar to one of the administrative officers.

“Okay, a moment sir. I will check the details of the cost,” said the administrative officer politely. Amar nods his head. A sign that he understood what the officer was saying.

“The cost of the operation to be carried out is approximately 975 million rupiah, sir. Not yet other measures such as dialysis and other measures,” said the administrative officer.

“OK! This I enter the temporary balance for treatment of 1.5 billion. If later it's still lacking, I'll give it back soon,” said Amar, handing over his debit card.

“OK sir, I will process it soon.” Not long after, the administrative officer gave Amar's receipt and debit card. Axelina is so amazed by what Amar has done for her mother. The cost that she thought about, has now paid off.

“What did you just do?” Axelina asked incredulously.

“Help you,” said Amar briefly.

“You shouldn't do all this, how will I pay for the money that you spent just now to pay for my mother's surgery,” said Axelina.

“If you want to repay what I did just now, whatever I ask, will you give it?” said Amar, looking into Axelina's beautiful eyes.

“While I can afford it, I will, sir,” said Axelina. Amar smiled at Axelina.

“Marry me. So that I can protect you and your mother,” said Amar earnestly. Axelina is so shocked by what Amar just said to her.

“At times like this, don't joke around, sir. Marriage is not a game. But a very sacred thing to do. Don't just feel sorry for me, then you married me,” said Axelina politely. Amar lowers his ego even more so that he can get Axelina's trust.

“I really want to marry you. Somehow I want to be able to take care of you,” said Amar. Axelina could only be silent without a word hearing Amar's request which seemed very sincere.

“I will think about it later, sir, after my mother was operated on,” said Axelina.

“Okay, I'll wait for that time to come. I hope you don't reject my good intentions,” Amar said emphatically.

“Just one more step I'll get you, Axelina,” Amar thought.

Axelina was speechless. For a while she wanted to focus on her mother first. She didn't want anything to happen to her mother. Because for Axelina, her mother is the only source of her happiness. Even though she will sacrifice everything to see the mother as healthy as before.

“Get well soon mom, keep the spirit against your illness for my sake,” said Axelina to herself.
