Chapter 22

It was four o'clock in the afternoon when Carmela and Dahlia got home to their mansion; it took them a while because they went grocery shopping.

Carmela also bought Dahla clothes and sandals. She was so shy because Carmela bought so much.

Their shopping bags were piled up in the back of the car, and on the front seat, it looked like Mommy Carmela was going to buy a whole mall.

She can't say no to her because that might make her sulky. Sometimes she even gave her clothes, but Dahlia refused her offer. That's why Carmela was so sullen with her back then, and Travis, her husband, even felt sorry for her.

Dahlia had difficulty carrying the shopping bags, so her mother, Lilet, went closer and helped her. Julian took the shopping bags carried by Mommy Carmela/Mrs. Monte Cristo.

"This is a lot. It's like Carmela bought a mall," her mother whispered.

Dahlia winced at what she said. She'd be so tired of Mommy Carmela going to the mall if she only knew.
