Chapter 15

Savannah's P. O. V.

Under a deep sleep, I felt when someone moved beside me so I unwillingly woke up and quietly roamed my eyes around.

In front of the closed veranda, Ezekiel was already standing there while talking to someone over the phone. His voice was too low and I could barely hear him despite the deafening silence around us.

I quietly sat down on the bed, thinking that he doesn't know that I am awake now. But then, he turned around and our eyes locked to each other. He said something more to someone he was talking to before he dropped the call and went back to bed.

I brushed my eyes a little as Ezekiel sat in front of me.

"Did I wake you up?" He said in a low voice.

I stopped moving when he reached out to tuck my hair behind my ear and I was left staring at him.

"Was it for work?" I asked as he continued to caress my hair.

Ezekiel stopped what he was doing before he looked back at me and released a deep sigh. He doesn't seem to want to answer my question.
