Two: Left Alone

Liam got out of the car, and I couldn't stop him. I have no power to let him stay with me and go on our honeymoon. I didn't want him to go to sleep with me, I'm too young for that thing, I just want him to go because I wish him to be by my side, and maybe we could have a great time together.

"Call me later after you drop her, okay?" Liam said to his driver when he got out of the car.

I remained speechless and just watched him grab a cab. Hoping he might change his mind, hoping that he might go with me, but then, he even didn't look back at me.

I sighed, struggling to be strong enough to forget my husband and the wedding, the honeymoon... everything.

"You okay, ma'am?" Liam's driver whispered. It was embarrassing that he could witness everything between me and Liam's situation.

I smile like an idiot, trying to act fine, "Yes, I am" answered him and told him to kept going.

"What kind of wedding is this? Full of heartbreaks, hah?" I chuckled, avoiding the tears that were threatening to come out, yet I failed to do that. My tears kept dropping to my wedding dress. I just watched my tears keep falling to my dress, then I realized that I shouldn't keep myself looking like this.

I looked outside and was almost halfway to the airport.

"Stop the car," I asked the driver to pull over.

"But ma'am, we're not at the airport yet, where are you going?" he said.

I faked a smile, " I wanted to go change my dress, I didn't want to go to California like this. It was embarrassing," I said and I knew that he understood already what my words meant. People might be got curious about who I am with, and they might laugh seeing me without my groom.

"Understood, ma'am," he said and I saw how he felt sorry for me. I also pity myself, you know!

"Gosh, you didn't have to look at me like that. I could feel the pain, even more, when you looked like that," I thought.

The car stopped, I wore my mask, making sure no one would recognize me, or else I would only embarrass myself, and rumors about me wearing a wedding dress would surely confuse the school.

Breathing deeply, I got out of the car and went inside the mall.

I walked straight inside the woman's clothes corner, and all eyes were on me. They were all looking at me from head to toe, gosh!

"Yes, ma'am?" the sales lady asked me. She was wearing a black skirt, a pink blouse with a necktie on it, and a black pointed hills with about 3 inches high.

I noticed that she was looking strangely at me, the same look from the ones outside, so I cleared my throat and acted normal, "Oh, I wanted to change my costumes," I said and she glanced at me, confused.

I giggled but just for an act, it was awkward, "Oh, sorry, we had an act in our school, I was the bride and I happened to forget my backup clothes, hehe," I was trying hard enough to create an alibi, making this uncomfortable moment to be just fine.

She clapped her hands once, "Oh, okay, haha," she was laughing strangely, I could sense that she was doubting my alibi, I guessed. "Okay, ma'am, kindly pick a dress, and there is our fitting room," she said and I just picked up something, randomly. I felt awkward staying here, so I hurried to that room and changed my wedding dress as fast as I could.

                                   ********

"Let's go," I told the driver when I got inside, and he nodded his head and started the engine.

It took us minutes before I got here at the airport, I got everything I needed and went inside.

I was in the VIP seat, where my father reserved for us, glad no one was around me because my heart might collapse again.

I sat and just watched the plane going far away from the land, the view up here was beautiful and calm.

I somehow felt okay being alone here. I closed my eyes and about to sleep to at least forgot everything when I heard someone's footsteps were coming near me, I thought it was the flight attendant but it wasn't, it was a stranger!

"Who are you?" I asked when I looked at the man. He was wearing a black suit. Well, based on his look, he looked like a businessman or whatever.

"Are you talking to me?" he asked and he confused me, didn't he know this place was for VIP?

"Yes, you... Don't you know that this is a VIP area? We reserved it, and you are not supposed to be here, you should go back to your seat, mister," I said.

"We? But you seemed alone here," he said and I couldn't say a word about what he just said, damn, he just let me remember that my husband just let me travel alone.

I gave him a half-smile and said, "Long story," I sighed, trying not to burst out any emotional reactions.

He glanced at me seriously, "Okay, so you don't mind letting me seat here because the one who sat beside me was too noisy, he kept telling stories and didn't leave me alone," he explained and I didn't know what to say, what the heck is wrong with this guy? "Is his mind on his foot?"

"Okay, but that's not my problem anymore, and you should go back," I said, clearly annoyed, but he surprised me when he held my hands without informing me.

"Please, just let me seat here. I couldn't withstand that woman, I won't bother you, I'm begging you," he said and I pulled my hands, widening my eyes in horror, geez... "Is he crazy?"

"What are you doing?" I said and he apologized as he frowned, telling me to just let him a seat.

I didn't know if I should let him, but I guess, I had no choice because he just kept bugging me, begging and frowning in front of me.

I sighed, and drew a long deep breath, "Okay, but please, I want to travel in peace," I exclaimed, curving my bent brows as I rolled my eyes, and he grinned at me, "No worries, the feelings are mutual, I also wanted to travel quietly," he said, he was calm and felt relieved.

"Okay, fine, just seat and keep quiet," I said, but I didn't expect him to sit next to me. This guy was a hundred percent crazy!

I glanced at him, my eyes were asking, and said, "Hey, what are you doing?"

Turning his head to me, he just glanced at me and smirked, "Having a seat," he answered then winked at me.

I cracked up, couldn't believe what this guy was saying to me, "Are you serious? I let you here, but I didn't tell you to sit beside me, there are a lot of spaces, see?" I curved my brows and looked at the extra seats then pointed at it, telling him that he could just move there. If he kept doing unnecessary things, he could push me to my limit, he annoyed me so much!

"I'm sorry, but I want this seat," he said and my mouth left open. He was making me laugh.

I was about to argue with him but he was lucky, the flight attendant came.

"Is there any problem here, ma'am?" she asked.

I closed my eyes, clenched my fist, and sighed. I wanted to complain but it was just going to give me headaches, I didn't want to add extra pain in my head just by kicking this guy off this VIP place.

I smiled at the girl, "There are no problems here, I'm alright, I mean we're alright," I said and she glanced at me, her eyes were confused, yet she just left after convincing her that we were fine, then I heard this man chuckled.

"What's funny?" I barked, clearly annoyed, and he just smiled at me, like what the heck!

"Nothing," he answered.

"Whatever, fine, stay here but please, I'm begging you, just don't bother me, " I whispered and just closed my eyes and imagined that I was alone, that no one was beside me.

"Yes, ma'am," I heard him say and I just ignored him and slept, I didn't care whatever he wants to do, I needed to leave my mind in peace.
