Three: The Stranger

I was outside the airport and about to grab a cab but then a car stopped just right in front of me. And then it honked, it was annoying so I moved away but it moved again, and hell, it stopped in front of me.

"What the heck?" I murmured, staring at the tinted window.

It honked again, which made my hair stood up one by one. I tolled my eyes and then the window slowly went down.

"Where are you going?" A man asked. Sounds familiar, I curved my brows, then I bent my knees to peeked to see who it was.

I sighed as I rolled my eyes. "You, again! What do you want?" I asked, curving my brows, sharpening my eyes, like what the hell does he want from me, and then he grinned at me, I blew my lips, "Annoying," I murmured.

"Where are you going? Let me drive you there," he said and opened the door for me. I sighed and denied his offer.

"Well, thanks, but I'm okay," I answered, stepping away not to see his face again.

I just continued trying to get a cab as I pulled my baggage, but then he got out of his car, leaned his hands on the top of his car and he glanced at me, smiling, he looked like flirting with me, making himself cute when the truth he didn't need to, I wasn't saying that I'm attracted to him but he was honestly has a look and has a cute face.

I saw him sigh and his eyes were half-serious half smiling at me, "You let me seat back there, I owe you, so please let me pay you by driving you to your destination," he said and his eyes were still looking straight at my face, making me felt uncomfortable.

I sighed and wasn't sure what to do. But seeing the situation, it's kinda hard to grab a cab right here, so I thought of accepting his offer, haha I wasn't taking advantage but I had no other choice to think.

With no option tone, I answered, "Okay." My voice was low and serious. This was a ridiculous decision.

I fixed my things but then he went near me and carried my bags.

"Let me put these on my trank," he said, as he grabbed my things from me. Surprisingly, I felt sheepish.

I swallowed and said, "Thank you."

He smirked, "Welcome," he said and opened the door for me. Gosh, why did he need to do that, he was a gentleman, hope Liam would also do it for me.

I went inside the car, right beside him, and he closed the door and sat next to me.

"So where are you going?" he asked.

"In Crescent Hotel," I answered and his voice boosted in excitement, "Really? What a coincidence, I'm also staying there for a couple of days," he said.

I chuckled in such coincidence, "Really? You're not kidding me? That's great then," I answered.

He nodded as he stopped making the person in front passed by. Then continued, "Yeah, so why are you here, you even traveled alone. Why is a young woman like you came here alone?" he said.

Wasn't sure if I had to answer his questions but I did, I sighed as I looked at him.

"Haha, long story mister," I said.

A loud laugh came from his mouth startled me at the same time, he just make me think he was crazy.

"Mister?" he chuckled and stared at my eyes.

"What?"

He smiled, asking, "Nothing really. Anyway..." a paused... "How old are you?"

I laughed at him and said, "How old am I do you think?"

He then looked at me in the face and looked again on the road after a few seconds.

He grinned and answered me, "You look young, hmm, let me guess, hmm... 20?"

"Haha, almost there," I answered.

"So 21?" he asked. I shook my head and he laughed, "Okay, so how old are you? Be honest," he asked again.

I cleared my throat and smiled, "I'm 18, a high school student," I answered with confidence in my voice and then I got surprised when the car suddenly stopped and the car behind us honked too loudly.

"Oh, sh*t, my bad, I'm sorry, are you okay?" he said and continued to drive again.

I was still surprised but I answered him by shaking my head. He sighed, and glance at me, "I'm sorry, I got shocked by your age, you were too young to be married," he said and my heart raced the moment I heard what he said.

"Wait, how did you know that I am married?" I asked, and my palm was sweating, and my heart was still beating too fast.

"Who is this man? Why did he know that I'm married?' I thought and wanted to jump out of the car.

He smiled and glanced at my hands, "Easy, you are wearing a ring," he answered and my heart chilled out when I realized that I was still wearing my wedding ring.

"Gosh, I was overreacting!"

I covered my fingers with my other hand, and I was speechless, I didn't know what words to say to him. And also, he just reminded me of Liam. I tried enough not to let him noticed my emotions, I was still heartbroken and in pain about Liam and Naila.

I glanced at him and I saw him smile and breathed out, "Well, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that no need to worry about it," he said and I sighed in relief.

"Thank you, " I just whispered, I actually didn't want to talk about Liam for a moment.

*******************

We were at the front desk of the hotel, I was asking for the key to my room that my father reserved. Then a woman assisted us and gave me the key and the room number.

"You got yours?" the guy asked.

"Yeah, I'll be in room 1007," I answered and he laughed out loud.

"Hahaha, really," he said, and my eyes narrowed, I was just wondering why he laughed? And then he lifted his ket chain and when I looked at his room number my eyes immediately widened, he got room 1008.

"Oh my! We are neighbors," I said and we both laughed.

"Well, yeah, what a coincidence," he chuckled.

"Yeah, it was amazing," I answered.

"So let's go?" he said and I smiled. Since our rooms were on the same floor, we went there together and actually he was too kind, he still carried my bags, I insisted but he was also not quitting in telling me it was alright. So I just let him did it

We were in front of our doors, his room was actually just in front of mine, right across to my door.

"So, we finally got here. Thank you," I said and he handed me over my stuff.

"Yeah, nice meeting you. We forgot to introduce our names, by the way, I'm Liam Miller," he said and stretched his hands.

My eyes looked at his, I couldn't believe that he has the same name as my husband, Liam Stevens. It was really an incredible coincidence.

My mind laughed and I still couldn't believe this guy's name.

"Nice meeting you, Liam. I'm Farrah Stevens," I answered him as I held his hands, we shook hands, and he chuckled. I didn't know why did I use Liam's surname, but I think it was the right answer to tell him, you know what I meant, I'm married and my surname changed after the wedding.

"See you later," he said and opened his door.

"Yeah. Thank you for the ride, again, Liam," I said and he just gave me a smile on his face before he disappeared.
