Terra

The elder bowed deeply.

"I apologize, Prince Damien. Please consider-"

I turned away, unable to listen to the rest of the conversation. As though if I ignored what I heard, it would make it disappear.

I was getting too good at that. Ignoring things. Ignoring the side glances and hushed whispers about me at court events.

Ignoring the pitiful looks my maids and guards gave me any time I tried to talk to Damien only for him to ignore me and walk away.

I ignored it until I couldn't ignore it anymore.

"Tonight you will visit the Prince," Sophia informed me barely two days later, her eyes filled with compassion and sadness.

I began to shake. Only later would I realize that it wasn't just from pain and humiliation but also rage. After almost six months of ignoring my existence, Damien wanted me to make an heir with him to secure his right to the throne.

I wouldn't have gone but it was a chance to speak with Damien alone. One I hadn't gotten since coming to this palace. I couldn't waste it.

So I let them scrub me clean, rub oils and scents on my skin, tease out my hair. And as I walked towards Damien's room, I felt like a lamb primed for the slaughter.

I'd been sitting at the edge of Damien's bed for over an hour when he walked in.

He was wearing a simple robe with silk pants that fell to his ankles, his chest bare. His ink-black hair fell over his forehead and while I could smell the booze this far away, his gray eyes were razor-sharp and clear.

His robe hit the ground and for whatever reason, my lungs refused to function properly, my heart racing in my chest as Damien walked towards me.

All the words I had to say, all my anger and protests disappeared.

Damien reached me and I found myself shuffling back on his bed scrambling to keep the distance between us.

Damien didn't say anything, those gray eyes steady on me as he reached out, grabbing my thigh and pulling me back towards him.

His hand on my thigh burned and I found myself shivering.

"I can't do this." But the protest was weak as it left my lips.

Damien's hand traveled up my thigh bunching up my nightdress while his other hand bared my shoulder, pulling my robe and the thin shoulder strap of my nightdress to the side.

My fingernails dug into the duvet, an unwanted moan building in the back of my throat.

"I can't," I repeated.

Damien ignored me, as he leaned over dropping a kiss on my exposed shoulder.

The sudden heady shot of adrenaline and desire coursing through my veins had me fighting the urge to submit to him. An urge I thought was long erased by all of Damien's cruelty.

"Please, Damien," I begged, my voice trembling, a lone tear traveling down my cheek.

Damien paused, his face a perfect porcelain mask.

"You don't need to pretend.  I know you overheard the conversation between Elder Hardt and I." His voice was soft but no less cold and unfeeling.

It was a sharp contrast to the warmth of his caress as he traced the back of his hand down my cheek wiping away my tears and stopping at my chin, his thumb hovering over but not quite touching my lips.

"I will do my duty to my people even if it means being with someone I despise, Terra."

I think it was at that moment that it really sank in that my mate hated me.

My eyes burned with unshed tears.

"Why do you hate me so much?"

Damien didn't hesitate.

"You are a lowly omega unworthy of being my mate. You schemed to deceive and seduce me to escape your pack. I had to break the heart of the woman I love because of you."

For the first time I heard something other than contempt in Damien's voice, I heard pain.

He really loved Miranda, his ex-fiance. He still loved her.

My cheeks were wet and my words came out as a strangled sob.

"But I have no control over the bond, neither of us do. That night-"

Damien didn't let me finish.

"That night was the biggest mistake I've ever made." He said unflinchingly.

My heart hurt as though someone had stabbed me. Diana didn't want to believe our mate's cruel words while I just sat there trembling and utterly lost.

"Then what are you doing here?" I asked Damien.

"Today is your most fertile day according to the physicians and my duty comes before my emotions," Damien shrugged, those callous grey eyes focused on me. "But I won't force myself on you, Terra,"

Damien cocked his head slightly to the side. "Just tell me to stop."

  • His Unwanted Fated Mate    Betrayal

TerraWas that… Was she… no. No."Miranda is pregnant with my heir," Damien said, confirming my suspicions. "My heir will not be born a bastard."Nausea clogged up my throat and it felt like the world was spinning out of control around me. But more than that I was shaken as I realized what exactly Damien was telling me."You… You want to reject me." I stared at Damien waiting for him to deny it but he didn't."I have only ever cared for Miranda. You know that."I did but I still couldn't accept it. I wanted the pretence to end yet I… I couldn't let go of him."I am your MATE, Damien. Our relationship is fated, you can't just end things like this."It was sick, I knew but I wasn't sure I could live without Damien.Damien's grey eyes met mine and for a second it felt like it was only both of us in the room. Both of us and all the hurt and pain we had put each other through. For a moment, it felt like Damien was seeing me, really seeing me.Then Miranda's shaky voice cut through the tens

TerraDamien kissed me. It should have felt terrible. I should have felt nothing but revulsion but the mate bond didn't let me.He tasted like home. He tasted addictive. And as his tongue swept into my mouth, I forgot when I had parted my lips for him.Damien growled abruptly, cutting our kiss short, his lips dipping to my nape like a man on a mission, his every lick, kiss and bite so urgent that I knew he was fighting his instincts to mark me.I placed my hands on his shoulders fully intending to push him away but all I could do was tug him closer, my body soft and pliant beneath him.Tell him to stop? That would have required speech and none of the sounds I was capable of making then were intelligible. It was too much. The rough glide of his palm against my inner thighs, the feeling of his hot breath over my skin, the press of his lips, the nip of his canines.Damien pulled back and I couldn't read the look in his dark eyes."That's what I thought."My cheeks burned. Despite my init

  • His Unwanted Fated Mate    Princess Terra

Terra"Get the rose petals."The air around me was cloying and I could barely breathe. The water around me seemed to tug at me, dragging at me beneath.I was tired. So damn tired."That will not be necessary," I said, standing up from my pool-sized heated bathtub."But Princess-" Sofia sounded appalled but I was already halfway back to my room, my maids covering me up with my robes and heated towels as I moved.I stopped in front of the mirror and almost didn't recognize myself. My dark brown hair was the healthiest it had ever been reaching just beneath my backside, my skin was paler but soft and pampered. But my dead tired eyes told a different story."You might as well save your strength. My mate will not look at me no matter what I look like." I said softly.I was so sick and tired of this.My bedroom went completely silent then my maids, all twelve of them, bowed, quiet censure in their voices."Princess."Right.I was Lycan Princess Terra Morgan happily mated to Lycan Prince Dam

TerraI froze. "What?"My mate turned to face me, those beautiful grey eyes as cool as ice."Did I stutter?"How could I leave? Why did he want me to leave?"But we are mates and-"My mate didn't let me finish before interrupting me, his expression unchanging."My mating ceremony is in a week and I have no intention of ditching my bride for a mere omega masquerading to be who she is not."It was then I noticed the bottle of Allure on his bed stand. It must have worn out sometime last night or this morning revealing my natural omega scent. There was a big misunderstanding here but all I could focus on apart from Diana's pained howls in my head was the first half of what he'd said."You are engaged?" My voice broke on the words but my heart shattered when he didn't deny it.He simply flung my dress at me."I trust you know your way out."Then he left the room. He just walked away.As I approached my pack, I felt like an empty husk. A broken version of myself. My mate might not have reje

Terra"Runt, I almost didn't recognize you. You look… different," Eric smirked, his lecherous gaze fixed on my curves. "I like it. A lot.""Please excuse me." I bowed slightly, then moved as fast as my legs could carry me. I hurried away from Eric.He was faster, his steel grip tightening around my wrist forcing me to a stop."I wasn't done talking to you, Terra." He snarled and my body began to tremble against my control.I could feel Diana trying to fight against Eric's dominance in my head but it was hopeless, I simply wasn't strong enough.Eric tugged me closer, my back to his chest, his nose in my hair and my backside firmly pressed to him. So much so that I could feel his erection.Nausea bubbled up inside me and I began to struggle against his hold in earnest."Let go of me!" I screamed, my elbows digging into Eric's ribs.Eric let go of me but before I could make my escape, he backhanded me so soundly that I fell to the ground, my vision hazy."How dare you refuse me?"
