I hissed, unfurling my fingers from the tight hold I kept on Thorne and Sydney's necks. They could have incinerated me when I used my unnatural newborn speed and strength against them. Instead, they used heat waves of splintering hot fire to burn my flesh. The skin from my fingers up to my arms was bubbled with blisters and steaming with burns that would probably only heal if I had a taste of human blood.

I feel for Sylvain:( He didn't mean to kill Witchy but he didn't have a choice. She was hurting his mate and her ancestors were getting ready to decide on Tania's punishment. He had to save her knowing it was wrong. Glad Lilith gave him the support he needed and will continue to need.

I don't agree his mate is a cold-hearted murderer. She has to pay for what she did. She killed so many people, even a kid. He can forgive, but consequences need to happen.
