MaxAfter my talk with Ellie last week, I hired someone to investigate her mother. Just as I feared the Ellie’s father wrote a letter to get Candice out of jail. On Friday after taking Ellie to work, I go by to see her dad. Last night, Max tossed and turned, I could tell he struggled to sleep. I know he is nervous about today. After getting checked in and changing, I hold Max’s hand while we wait. Max stares at me for a moment, then says, “Not right away, but in another year or two, please give me a child. Just one is fine. I think this is something I need. We can use surrogacy and I can get a nanny if you want.”I turn to fully face him, “I’m not taking care of my father now. The next day, Max and Tom release a press statement regarding Julianna and Vivienne. I’m not sure what Max’s lawyers did, but all media outlets that ran Vivienne’s story deleted them and used Max’s.During his lunch break, I accompany Max to his pre-op appointment. They do some blood work, and we talk with a doctor. The doctor explains that since this is a little more invasive, Max should go completely under anesthesia, and we shouldn’t have sex for at least two weeks.
