Chapter 2- Stealing Glances

KENDRA

I thought I had seen every kind of man out there, that was until my eyes fell on the man on the stage and I couldn’t help but stare.

He was the sexiest guy I had ever laid my eyes on and if I thought his face was perfect than I clearly hadn’t seen the rest of his shirtless body.

I loved the way his brown skin glistened under the bright lights of the stage, and emphasized his well-muscled torso and six pack.

He had a very strong looking body, with one arm completely covered in tattoos.

“What’s up London, make some noise” Elias shouted in his sexy soft voice that didn’t match his rough appearance at all.

That was all he had to say before everyone in the crowds cheered him on loudly and the background music got louder.

Kaleb quickly got up from his seat and made his way over to the dance floor along with the rest of his friends, before I even had a chance to say anything.

I bopped my head to the nice upbeat music, and it wasn’t long before Elias started singing and I rolled my eyes, as I watched the girls on the dancefloor drool over him and grind their bodies against each other.

He sang ‘Be Easy’ by one of my favourite singers and I had to admit I liked his version more than the original song. I wanted to get up and dance but decided it was best I didn’t as I had one of the best seats in the club.

It was when I looked back at the stage, I realised that Elias was looking at me. I frowned the moment he gestured me to stand up with his free hand.

“Hey, you Pretty lady in the back, this one’s for you” he said before he sang the chorus even more louder than before, bringing everyone’s attention on me.

I ignored my beating heart and listened to him quietly as he sang to me from afar,

“If you wanna love somebody, you need to get up out your seat, if you wanna be my shorty, then you gotta come and give your love to me” he sang making all the girls in the crowds go wild, all but me.

He winked at me once before he continued singing, making the lower half of my body ache with pleasure. I forced my eyes away from him and helped myself to another glass of drink from the table, convincing myself that he wasn’t that amazing, although my body said otherwise.

I downed down the drink I held in my hand before I finally got up from my seat and walked over to Kaleb, thinking we both needed to get home before father hunted us down and killed us before the morning.

“The party’s just started, go sit down or go home” Kaleb said over the music as he bopped his head to the music.

This was his nightly routine, and I didn’t know how he did it. I felt tired just by looking at him, but then again that was probably because I woke up much earlier then him for my early morning training.

“Papa warned you to not come out tonight, if he finds out he’ll go crazy, lets go please” I begged him as I took the glass of drink out of his hand, hoping he listened.

Kaleb turned around to face me properly before he looked down at me with disappointment,

“You’re such a killjoy, don’t you have anything better to do?” he asked over the music.

I moved closer to him and looked up at him with a serious look on his face,

“I’m really worried about you Kaleb, please try to understand what I’m trying to say” I said as I took hold of his arm and looked up into his eyes deeply.

I was so focused on getting my point across to him that I didn’t even realise when someone had gotten close to me from behind.

“Aren’t you a beauty” a guy who looked in his late twenties said as he grabbed me by my hips from behind and grinded his body against my ass.

I wasted no time in turning around and slapping him on the face as hard as I could.

“Don’t ever think of doing that again” I shouted as loudly as I could, because if there was one thing I hated, it was men who thought they could feel up any woman they want and get away with it.

Kaleb grabbed the guy by the collar and flung him across the room before I could even say anything. The last thing I wanted was for a fight to break out, so I quickly pulled him back, and told him that we needed to leave.

“Who the fuck do you think you are” the guy who had touched me barked as he lunged towards Kaleb and pushed me out of the way roughly.

If it wasn’t for my grey eyed saviour I would have definitely fallen. Elias quickly jumped off the stage and grabbed me before I hit the ground.

“You, ok?” he asked as he steadied me with one arm and looked down at me, his sweaty body making my nose curl up, although he didn’t smell bad at all.

I quickly regained my balance and pushed him away, although what I really wanted to do was run my hand down his bare chest that looked nice and hard.

“I’m fine” I said before I turned my attention back to Kaleb who was still fighting with the guy.

Elias broke them both apart and said a few words to them both before he stepped back onto the stage and continued singing. I hadn’t met a man as fine as him before, who had stopped everything to save me.

I looked back at him once before I dragged Kaleb out of the club and headed home. I wondered if I’d ever get to him again the moment I stepped out into the heavy rain and lead Kaleb to my car that the valet had bought out already.

The drive home took less than twenty minutes, but in those twenty minutes Kaleb wasted no time in telling me how annoying and controlling I was.

“You need to get a life” he said before he lit up a cigarette.

I drove my car through the huge gates of our luxurious mansion that was nicely tucked away from the city.

“Try to walk as slow as you can once inside, before you wake up the whole house” I said before I took of my seatbelt and stepped out to the heavy rain.

I quickly walked up the house and unlocked the door, thinking I needed to have a shower and then get to bed as I had another early started tomorrow.

I made sure Kaleb went to his room before I walked down to my own and quickly locked the door after myself. I walked over to the large window and closed the curtains before I took of the dress I was wearing, with my mind still on Elias.
