Lydia’s POV

Lydia, this is Vanessa," Julian announced, his voice smooth and entirely cold as his hand tightened on her waist. "My girlfriend."

My jaw locked, the room tilting violently. Vanessa.

I didn't need an explanation; I had seen the old framed photographs hidden in the bottom drawer of his office desk.

She was the college ex-girlfriend he had spent years obsessing over the one he truly wanted before my father forced our merger. Seeing her standing here, wrapped in old-money cream wool, shattered the very last anchor of my hope.

The pathetic delusion of a happy ending, the fairy-tale life I had bled four years to protect, died instantly.

"Get your things out of the master suite," Julian ordered again, his tone clipping the air as he stepped toward me. "Now."

"No," I whispered, digging my heels into the hardwood. "This is my home, Julian. I am your wife."

"Not anymore."

Julian lunged forward, his fingers clamping like iron bands around my bicep. He violently dragged me backward toward the grand staircase. I twisted, scratching at his forearms, my heels skidding against the polished marble, but he ignored my resistance entirely, throwing open the master bedroom door and shoving me inside toward the walk-in closet.

“Pack. Or I throw it all over the banister."

Ten minutes later, I slammed the guest room door behind me, clutching a hastily stuffed duffel bag.

But there was no peace.

Before I could even lock the door, the walls began to vibrate. From the master bedroom down the hall, the violent, rhythmic groaning of the mattress shattered the silence. Vanessa’s high, breathless moans echoed sharply through the vents, amplified by Julian’s low, triumphant grunts.

They didn't care. They were marking their territory, letting their shameless noise flood every single corner of the house.

A dark, toxic heat consumed my blood. I dropped the duffel bag, marched down the back stairs, and snatched the keys to his sports car again.

The engine roared, a feral scream in the midnight downpour as I tore out of the garage, leaving the house behind.

The iron gates of the cliffside fortress rolled open. I didn't knock; I slammed my weight against the glass front doors, marching straight into the dimly lit living room.

Zane, Kian, and Cassian were waiting, sitting around the low marble table with crystal glasses of scotch. They rose in unison the moment they saw my drenched, wild appearance.

"Lydia” Kian started, but I cut him off.

I lunged straight into Zane’s chest, aggressively gripping his shirt collar, pulling him down to my level. "Fuck me," I rasped, my voice cracking with pure venom. "Fucking take me until I run mad. I don't want gentleness. I want to forget everything."

Cassian’s eyes flared with a lethal, possessive hunger as his hands locked onto my waist, ripping the wet velvet dress off my shoulders.

Zane hoisted me into his lap, his lips slamming onto mine with a brutal force that tasted like rain and raw dominance.

"What do you want from us, sweetheart?" Kian growled against my neck, his steel fingers pinning my wrists down as the friction turned blindingly hot, driving the noise of Julian’s house out of my skull.

"One thing," I gasped, arching violently into the heat of all three of them, my fingernails drawing blood on Zane's shoulders as they took turns ruining me with a fast, merciless intensity.

“Withdraw the contract. Cancel the deal with Julian. Help me destroy him. I want him ruined!"

Zane’s dark pupils blew out as he drove deeper, a fierce, satisfied growl ripping from his throat. "Consider it done."

The next morning, the black sports car and a fleet of three luxury SUVs pulled into Julian’s driveway.

I stood just outside the open front door of the mansion, the morning breeze whipping through my hair. Inside, the heavy thud of footsteps signaled Julian rushing down the stairs to greet his multi-billionaire saviors.

"Zane! Kian! Cassian! Welcome, please come in," Julian’s voice boomed through the foyer, sycophantic and frantic. “

I have the legal documents signed and ready on the table."

"Keep them," Zane’s cold baritone cut through the air, stopping Julian dead in his tracks.

From my spot outside the door, I leaned closer, listening intently to the sudden, suffocating silence.

"What... what do you mean?" Julian stammered, his voice instantly cracking with panic. "Is there an issue with the terms? We can adjust them”

"There is no negotiation, Miller," Kian murmured lazily, his voice dripping with absolute ruthlessness. "We are pulling out. The contract is canceled."

"Why?!" Julian yelled, his footsteps shuffling erratically against the marble. "You can't do this! My company will go under by midnight! Why are you doing this to me?"

I took a deep breath, stepped into the doorway, and marched into the grand foyer.

The heels of my stilettos clicked sharply against the marble like a death knell. I was wearing an impeccably tailored, vibrant boss-red suit, my hair styled perfectly, my chin held high.

Julian’s head snapped toward me, his eyes widening in absolute shock as he looked from my red suit to the three billionaires who were now standing firmly behind my shoulders like a protective wall.

I offered my husband a cold, venomous smile.”Because I deserve to be standing exactly where you are, Julian."

Lydia’s pov The metallic stench of gun oil and cold sea air filled the narrow space of the balcony as the mercenary’s gloved hand clamped down on my shoulder. The suppressed barrel of his rifle pressed directly into the nape of my neck, its icy weight a silent threat."Get up," the operative growled through his vocal scrambler. "Hands where I can see them. One wrong step and Mr. Vance gets your body instead of your signature."I didn't flinch. I slowly set my glass of wine down on the small iron table, taking my time as I smoothed the lapels of my silk robe. Deep within the lining of my left sleeve, a micro-transponder—no larger than a grain of rice, drawing power directly from my body heat—pulse-coded my location every three seconds directly to Kian’s high-grade satellite array. Another beacon, woven into the heavy gold signet ring on my right hand, logged the exact velocity, elevation, and heading of my movements.I was not a hostage. I was a homing beacon."Tell Damian his hospita

Lydia’s PoV The private estate in Porto Heli sat like a white stone fortress carved directly into the Aegean cliffs, overlooking a sea as dark and quiet as liquid onyx. To the international press and the maritime executives gathered in the grand ballroom below, I was attending the summit to finalize L.V. Global’s expansion into Mediterranean deep-water ports. To the men hunting me, I was isolated.By midnight, the subtle signs of an organized siege began to manifest. The ambient hum of the estate’s secondary power generators flickered twice before dying completely, leaving only the soft glow of emergency backup lanterns along the stone pathways. On my tablet, the local cellular signal dropped from four bars to a dead zero as localized frequency jammers swept over the cove.Damian’s remaining shadow team had taken the bait. They had severed the resort's external landlines, disabled the marine security buoys, and infiltrated the compound under the cover of a moonless coastal fog.I sat

Lydia’s POVThe pale, silver light of dawn expanded across the private suite, casting a soft sheen over the dark silk sheets. The storm of raw emotion, guilt, and possessive hunger that had consumed the night had settled into a profound, heavy quiet—a sanctuary sealed off from the rest of the world.None of us moved to get dressed. The urge to put on our corporate armor, to slip back into the cold roles of executives and commanders, had vanished.I lay anchored in the center of the massive mahogany bed. Zane’s broad, scarred frame served as a solid wall of muscle at my side, his heavy arm draped over my waist, pulling me firmly against his warm torso. On my other side, Cassian’s large, calloused hand held mine in an iron grip, his fingers casually rubbing small, soothing circles into my wrist.Kian leaned over us on one elbow, his dark hair falling messily across his forehead, stripped of his usual razor-sharp composure. His long, elegant fingers softly traced the intricate lines of m

Lydia’s POV The air in the Citadel’s private quarters was thick with the scent of crushed ozone, heavy velvet, and old wood. Outside the reinforced windows, the city lights flickered in the deep indigo hours before dawn, but inside, the world had shrunk to the warm perimeter of soft candlelight flickering across the mahogany bed.Zane still stood before me, his heaving chest casting a long shadow over the floor, his bleeding knuckles dripping crimson onto the dark carpet. The raw, bleeding question in his eyes—can you ever truly forgive us?—hung suspended in the quiet space between us.I didn't answer him with words.Instead, I stepped across the narrow divide, closing the final inch between us. I reached up, my small hands cupping the hard, stubbled line of his jaw. The contact sent a violent shudder through his broad frame. His eyes dilated, fixed on mine with a mixture of shock and sheer, desperate hunger."There is nothing to forgive," I whispered, my voice cutting through the th

Lydia ‘s POV The glass balcony doors of L.V. Global Holdings swept shut behind us, cutting off the roaring gale of media helicopters, the thunderous cheers of the gathered press, and the blinding strobe of flashbulbs in the plaza eighty floors below. The sudden silence inside the Citadel war room was heavy, almost suffocating, broken only by the low, mechanical hum of the subterranean air-filtration system.Outside, the world was drowning in the shockwaves of our victory. On every financial network across three continents, the Vance empire was collapsing into digital dust. The market cap had vanished, Interpol red notices were flashing in red typeface across international news chyrons, and the public was canonizing the name Lydia Vance-Cross.But inside this room, the air had turned into ice.I stepped away from the balcony threshold, unbuttoning the crisp, tailored jacket of my crimson suit. The fabric felt hot against my skin, weighted down by four years of s

Lydia’s pov The press of a single key on Kian’s terminal sent a shockwave across three continents.Within minutes, the world's primary financial networks, news agencies, and regulatory databases were flooded with the unredacted files of PROJECT REDACTED. Ultra-high-definition video of the staged hotel room, authenticated bank wire receipts, and Damian Vance’s signed brokerage commission streamed continuously on every screen in the financial district. The court of public opinion transformed in an instant. The four-year-old scandal that had once been used to break my reputation was completely demolished, laid bare as a monstrous, illegal conspiracy. My name was clear—and so were the names of Zane, Cassian, and Kian.Below us, the markets reacted with ruthless violence.Vance Logistics and Vance Maritime stocks didn't just slide; they plummeted into an absolute death spiral.
