'Shit! He saw me, He has a very sharp nose...That's dumb! He will know my scent , I'm his mate anyways,' Riella mentally told herself feeling embarrassed.

Nathan rolled his eyes and folded his arm across his chest, " I don't find hide and seek fun so get the hell out of there, " He said and Riella came out of her hiding. 

She couldn't dare look up unless she has a death wish. " Er..I..." She stammer as she begin to scratch her neck nervously.

" What brings you, Riella Edmond of the SilverMoon here ? I didn't send an invite did I? " Nathan blurted out, he has a mixed expression, He is angry to see her but at the same time he's happy she came.

Somehow her present ease his heavy heart, " I asked you a question, " Nathan added when Riella seems to be lost in thoughts.

' Why is he talking to me in that manner? Shouldn't he atleast respect me? ' She told herself clenching on her fist.

'You were the one that rejected him, our mate." Her other half [ wolf side] Ivy replied and her face dropped.

" If you're here to just look like a dummy, leave already, " He said again and turn back to the window.

He secretly hope in his heart that she doesn't leave but was to angry to let her stay.

Riella let out a deep breathe and walk closer to where he sat, " I came here to check how you're doing, I heard about your injury, " Riella told him politely.

He scoffed, " Check on me? Nonsense, " He bluntly mumbled with an eye roll.

" I'm not lying, Nat. I really came to see how you're doing, please trust that. " Riella shutters with a pout.

" Okay, you have seen how good I'm right? You can leave, " He said not wanting to share an eye contact with her.

" Come on, I don't like the way you're responding to me. Okay, I admit I wronged you and I'm here to amendment that, " Riella muttered almost losing her temper but she's trying her best to calm down.

Nathan laughed all of a sudden like a psycho, Riella furrowed her eye brows. ' Why is he laughing ? I don't say anything funny'

" Why are you laughing-" 

" That's because you're so dumb! Amend what, dummy?!" Nathan yelled.

"Don't say that to me, you stubborn jerk! " Riella lost it, she couldn't hold it. She yelled back and for the first time they both shared an eye contact.

If only glare could kill, one of them would have died. 

Riella got a grip of herself, " Fuck! I'm sorry for saying that, I..I honestly didn't mean for that word to come out, " Riella apologized but Nathan scoffed.

" You know what? Just go, talking to you always bring me aches." He told her coldly then went back to his bed, laid down and close his eyes.

Riella threw her head back, frustrated. She shook her head preventing tears from coming out, she glance at Nathan then finally walked out.

After he heard that the door closed, he opened his eyes gently and inhaled, exhale.  

" We miss our mate, don't we?" Carlos, his other wolf side jumped in.

" Shut the fuck up, " He shut him off with an hiss.

Carlos is right after all, He misses her, want her in his arms but no, his heart has become cold and dark.

'You're afraid of rejection, isn't it?'His subconscious mind hit him.

He growl under his breathe and went back to his sleep. 

              *"The next day**

( At Nathan's mansion.)

" Pack more veggies, more fruits and please don't forget to add stark meat. Nathan loves it. " Noelle instructed the maids in charge of the kitchen.

She glances at the big clock on the wall, " This is 6:44, I'm giving you extra 40minutes to do those things I mentioned, "

" Yes ma'am, " They chorused in unison and distribute back to their duties immediately, they wasted no time doing what Noelle told them.

" Suzanne? " She suddenly called out the chief of maids, the lady left what she was doing and went to her.

" Yes ma'am? " 

" Suzanne, I want you to monitor all the maids in the house. So, when Nathan comes back he won't find reason to complain, do you understand me? " Noelle told her and the lady, Suzanne nod.

" Sure ma'am, " Suzanne replied.

" Go back to your duty, I will run upstairs to pack up few things also, " Noelle said and with that she walked out of the kitchen.

" Nathan is alone, I should be quick to go and visit him, " She was mumbling to herself on her way to the stairs.

Noelle was on the third lraiser of the staircase when she saw Stefan descending , she narrowed her eyes.

" You!" Noelle yelled calling to his attention, he looked up and saw her.

He scoffed and come down slowly to where Noelle is, " Lil sis, "He called sarcastically.

Noelle feel so disgusted by his present alone, " Why are you coming to our house frequently with suspicious acts? You're not welcomed here! " Noelle lashed out while Stefan laughed.

" I came here to see how I'd be controlling the house soon when I ascend the throne" He said boastfully and spread his hands wide with a grin.

" In your dreams! Not after the shit you did yesterday, I'm going to report you to the elders of the pack. Get out you heartless cougar! " She scream while Stefan laughed

" wait and see, " he whisper to her then he walked away.

" That sly cougar, " Noelle muttered then went upstairs, to Nathan room. 

 *** At the hospital**

Noelle arrived at the hospital as soon as possible, she pulled the bags she brought from home, food, clothes and other thing inside the bag that looks like a traveling bag.

" Hey, niece, " She heard someone voice called behind as she enter the hospital. She doesn't need to check who it was, it's her uncle.

She look at the back briefly, " Morning uncle, " She greeted sharply while Mr Sean walked closer to her.

" Are you still mad at your uncle? " He asked and Noelle shook her head 

" No, why would I be? You only stated your opinion and thank goodness you have no choice but to accept her, " Noelle said and grin wide.

" Whatever, " He mumbled under his breathe, none of them talk again as they made way to Nathan's ward  

They got to his ward, Mr Sean was the first to see a lady at the front of Nathan's ward, dozing off.

" Huh, Who's she? " Mr Sean asked and that question made Noelle look there.

Her eyes went wide, " What's she doing her? And sleeping outside? " Noelle asked surprised.

" Do you know her? "

" Yes, she's the one. My brother's mate. " Noelle replied while Mr Sean narrowed his eyes.

" Riella?" He asked for confirmation and Noelle nod in affirmation.
