" You're back? " Casey asked but noticed the look on Riella's face. " Did he chase you out? Why are you looking so dull?? " She asked once again.
Riella landed her butt on the nearest couch, " No, he didn't chase me out and I doubt if he knows I came to his house, " Riella finally replied.
" What do you mean? Didn't you show yourself to him? " Casey asked out of curiosity and took a seat close to her.
She was more eager than a gossip.
" Yes, I was too guilty to do that. I made him like that, " Riella mumbled and her face dropped.
" Its normal to feel that way but he's your mate after all, you should be there with him always, " Casey consoled
" You wouldn't believe where he is now, " Riella suddenly said and that made Casey even more eager.
" Where? "
" At the hospital," She answered while Casey gasped
" Hospital?! What the fuck happened!" Casey exclaimed.
" Long story but let me cut it short, he was shot with a poisonous bullet, I feel bad for him," Riella said while Casey widen her eyes.
" Wait, what the fuck did you come back home for? " Casey suddenly throw a question at her.
'" I came to-"
" Fuck! You came home to do nothing, babe! You should have followed him to the hospital! " Casey cut her off with a scream as she jumped up from her seat.
Riella shrug her shoulders" His sister already followed him so what's my use? " She said " Whereas he would never want to see my face, " She mumbled this last part to herself but thanks to Casey long ears, she heard it.
" Babes! He needs you now! This is the time you prove your worth, you should go, no...We will go and its now. "
" We ? Now! " Riella screamed and shook her head, " That would make me look desperate and foolish! I bluntly rejected this man, " Riella coaxed and went inside, she shut the door.
" Riella! Let's talk this through, " Casey called but got no response. " Who does she take her stubbornness from? It must be her mom."
** Few minutes later**
" Casey, you know I'm out of my mind right? I can't believe we are actually here! " Riella said as she and Casey stood at the front of the gigantic hospital for the GOLDENROD pack.
" No! You're just checking on your mate, that's not bad. " Casey told her with a weird giggle.
" I think we should go back, I can't go in,,,"
" No no no no! You're already here so no turning back! " Casey cut her off then pull her in before she could say anything.
They got to the reception, " We are here to see Mr. Nathan, what ward is he in? " Casey asked the beautiful lady at the reception.
" The VIP ward 10, upstairs. " The lady replied and without hesitating, Casey already took the stairs that led to the room.
Riella followed gently.
" I think it's here! " Casey said when they came across a door with the name boldly written on the plate on wall,'Nathan'
" It really is, " Riella muttered then they heard voices from inside.
" It is not like that, I just don't want her in our family. Don't worry, Nathan listens to me and I'm sure he will listen if I tell him to look for another mate, "
" Uncle! " they heard a lady yelled " She's your soon to be in law, respect her." She added
" No, "
" I don't need you to accept her, She's my mate. No one! No creature can change that fact, not even you Mr Sean, " When Riella heard that, her heart begin to aches.
Though they couldn't detect who and who was arguing but they both know it was because of Riella.
" I- can't face him, " She said and felt her heart burning. She shook her head and look at Casey who was also down cast by what she heard.
Then they heard a footsteps coming and before the door open, Riella ran off immediately.
" Riella- " She tried to call her back but she was already out of sight. Just then the door knob twisted open, a man in his mid-sixties came out.
He looked at Casey from head to toes, " You don't belong to this pack, you scent differently. Who are you? " He asked with a stern look.
" Er...I'm from the SILVER MOON pack,,,"
" Silver what? Why am I meeting bad lucks this very day? Excuse me, " He cut her off rudely then walk away.
Casey felt like smashing his face but that's not what she came for, she twisted the door open and walked in.
Noelle was the first to notice her presence as her scent hit her nose, though Nathan noticed too but didn't bother looking up.
" Hi! " She waved while Noelle try to recall where she has seen her before.
" You're...Riella's friend, right ? " She asked as she recognize her face. Maybe Riella name mentioned name made Nathan glance at Casey then look away.
"Yes, Casey Norman, " She replied and brought her hand forward for an handshake which Noelle accepted warmly.
" Noelle." She said " What brings you here and why is Riella not with you? " She added asking.
" I just drop by to drop these stuff, Riella sent them. " Casey said and once again Nathan glance at her hand.
" Drop it on the desk and leave." He muttered rudely then adjusted himself on the bed and close his eyes.
Casey somehow fear the look on Nathan's face, she gently dropped the stuff she brought.
" Thank you, " Noelle mounted to her and with that Casey walked out
" Phew! What a cold aura! " She exclaimed as soon as she got out.
" Where the fuck did Riella run to now? "..
**Later at night**
" Go home Noelle. It's past nine already, " Nathan said to Noelle coldly.
" No, I'm staying with you. You're still ill-"
" I'm fucking fine! " He cut her off with a yell , Noelle flinched back out of fear.
" Nathan, " She slowly called, worried and scared he might run wild.
" Go, I want to be left alone. "With that cold voice, Noelle relented and gently took her bag, she walked out.
Then he slowly came down from his comfort- no, the bed seemed difficult to him.
He sat down on a chair close to the window and stare at the space, the stars made him smile.
Then he suddenly turn around and screen the whole room with his wolf grey eyes, he breathed out, " It is better you come out of your hiding, I can perceive your scent, Riella Edmonds. "

Afraid of what he might do, afraid of what he might say. She tried to pull away from him, but his grip was too strong. As Stefan strode off into the distance, Riella heaved a deep sigh of relief. She quickly made her way to her chambers, shutting the door behind her with a loud thud. She leaned against it, trying to catch her breath. Her mind was racing with thoughts of what had just happened, and she couldn't shake the feeling of fear that had settled in her stomach. As she closed her eyes, she tried to calm herself down. She took deep breaths, willing herself to relax. She knew that she couldn't let Stefan's actions control her

They listened intently as their head pack soldier, a seasoned warrior with a grizzled beard, held up a book and read from it with a deep, authoritative voice. The words echoed through the courtyard, sending a shiver down the spines of the gathered soldiers. For them, the full moon anniversary was a sacred event, a time when the pack came together to celebrate their heritage and honor their ancestors. As the head pack soldier finished reading, there was a hushed silence. Then, slowly, the soldiers began to stir, nodding to each other and exchanging excited whispers. They knew that the coming celebration would be a time of great joy and camaraderie, a chance to forget the troubles of the world and revel in the strength of their pack. The soldiers turned and filed out of the courtyard, their boots clanging on the stone walkwa

He placed it into the mortar and began grinding it with the pestle, the scent of the plant filling the air with a refreshing aroma. With a few deft movements, he created a fine powder from the plant, which he then mixed with a little water. He approached Riella, who lay on the bed, her eyes closed and her breathing shallow. With a gentle touch, he opened her mouth and poured a small amount of the mixture into it. Riella stirred slightly, and the physician gave her a reassuring smile. "Rest now, my lady," he said softly. "The zephyr plant will help to purify your body and restore your strength." He then turned to Nathan, who was standing anxiously by the bedside. "We will need to keep her here for a few days to ensure she makes a full recovery," he said. "But she is in good hands, and we will do everything we can to make sure she i
