The lies she believed

" Riella, you can still call this guy and settle--

"That's enough! I do not want to hear it again, " Riella yelled cutting Casey off .

She walked away from her, picked up a broom, "You should go now, I want to clean up-"

"Stop being so stubborn and let me help you." Casey stopped her and started cleaning before Riella could do anything.

After cleaning the house, her father's room was left. Riella asked Casey to leave the place alone, she was going to clean her father's room herself. She was too tired to do it today, so she decided to continue the next day.

She could hardly sleep all night because of Nathan. She just felt restless and did not know why.

She hated the fact that she would not stop thinking about him. It made her angry, she felt like cutting her head off to stop herself from thinking about him. She woke up early and decided to clean her father's room to keep her mind off things. She figured, she could get memories from doing this.

She missed her father a lot, He was a good father to her. That's why she cannot believe those people killed him like that. She opened the door to his room and memories started flooding in immediately.

She wiped her tears and started cleaning. She was done in no time, and was about to leave when she noticed where she stood creaked. That arouse her suspicion, she moved the rug covering the place. She has always cleaned her father's room but never gone this far.

The place seems like the door to a hidden place under. She opened it by pulling the handle hard, her mouth widened open when she saw the biggest shock of her life. She couldn't believe her eyes.

An instant feeling of betrayal crept through Riella. She could not understand how there could be another room under her father's room that she did not know about.

That's not what is worse, what's worse is that there are creepy things here. Riella turned on the lights, shocked to see things that are not worth talking about. She felt it was normal for him to have tools for protection, but there were a lot of bloody clothes hanging.

" What the..." She gasped and tears were already forming in her eyes.

She went further, and found a safe. She found poisonous substances that could kill a werewolf sitting on top of the safe. She carefully moved them away, then tried opening the safe.

"What could be my father's password?" She thought to herself.

Then she suddenly thought of something. Something her father has used sometimes even on his phone password.

She suddenly thought about her mother's death anniversary. Her father loved her mother so much, and he loved Riella more since she looked exactly like her mother. She input her mother's death anniversary, and it cracked open.

She curiously brought out everything in there. There was more poisonous substances than she had seen before opening the safe. Also, there are a lot of documents which seem to be confidential.

"Why does my father have all of this dangerous things? What exactly did he keep from me before he died?" Was all the thoughts that ran through her mind.

Why was she discovering all these things now? Why didn't she see all of this before? What more does she not know about her father? She decided to check the documents and what she discovered made her numb.

She saw a lot of illegal transactions, and also a letter that confessed all of his crimes. She believed the letter because she could recognise her father's handwriting.

Her father commited high treason and hurt a lot of people. Her father was good to her, but he had a lot of evil in mind. She could not believe her eyes, he knew he was going to die.

He apologized, knowing he might be dead by the time she would find this. Checking everything he did, Riella decided to judge without being unfair. She realized he deserved something more gruesome than death for what he did.

Though she hates those people for what they did to her father, she still felt like he deserved whatever he got. If her father is confessing to his crimes, he's surely worse than a monster.

"Why?! Why did you have to do this dad? I wanted to live with you for a long time. I wanted us to be happy! I thought we were happy together! How could you do this to me dad?! How could you?! This is so unfair!" She yelled at the top of her voice, crying loudly.

She's been holding back for a long time now. She feels wronged for being lied to. She has hurt more people thinking they are to be blamed when her father did everything wrong. She took the letter and left the secret room, she went up back up her father's room. She looked around before barging out of the room.

She bumped into Casey who was just coming to call on her.

"Riella, I have news! You need to listen to this but first let's eat. I brought breakfast, let's..." Casey stopped talking when she saw Riella's mood and tears, "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

Riella didn't reply but just gave Casey the letter. As soon as Casey saw the letter, she understood what was wrong. This news also came as a shock to Casey. Although everyone kept saying Riella's father was guilty, Casey kept hoping he would be innocent for her friend's sake. Casey rushed to hug Riella who could not stop crying.

"I'm so sorry. I really hoped this would not happen. You can cry your heart out, I'll be right here. It's okay, it's okay." Casey consoled her.

"I know I am not supposed to ask this now, I just can't stop thinking about it. What are you going to do now?" Casey asked Riella after she calmed down in the evening.

Riella understood what Casey was asking about. She sighed, also confused and worried.

"I don't know, I shouldn't have done that. But what's done is done, what can I do? I already rejected him, the least I can do is leave him alone."

"Well... That's what I wanted to talk about in the morning."

"What is it? Did something happen to him?"

"I heard a lot about him. I guess most people still view him as a weak leader though he is an Alpha. He's a Lycan whose side has not been awakened. I heard he was told from birth that only his mate could unlock that. They even held a contest for him once, he did not find anyone. He has a beast only his mate can tame..."

This made Riella more guilty. Now she understood why he needed her so much. Why he was so excited after seeing her but she just rejected him like that. She felt extremely restless, her heart felt like it would be ripped apart.

The doorbell rang making Casey stop. She went to open the door and found an unfamiliar face in front of her. She looked younger and very pretty.

"Can I help you?" She asked the stranger who kept staring. Casey came to check who was at the door at this point.

"I am Noelle, Alpha Nathan's little sister." The girl replied.

"Alpha Nathan?" This made Riella's heart skip a beat. "The same Alpha Nathan?"

"What do you mean the same Alpha Nathan? It's obviously him." Casey scolded Riella.

"Yeah, the one you rejected yesterday." Noelle replied sadly.

"I am sorry... There's a misunderstanding, where is he?"

"Apparently, I think he's gone crazy and wild , I think he's losing his senses and would soon go rogue. I think that may be because you rejected him, he could not take it so he became like that. No one can help him, you're the only who can bring him back, or he'll lose everything forever."

At this point, Noelle started crying and took Riella's hand, "My brother's all I've got. Please help me. We can't let our step brother take over everything, it's going to be a disaster."

"Oh no!" Casey exclaimed. "See? I told you it was serious!"

" Er,,,,I don't think I can, I'm sorry" Riella told Noelle , confused of what to do or say at the moment, she ran in.
