MasukAdrian Vale sat at his desk, staring at the papers in front of him. But his mind was elsewhere. He was still thinking of the woman he met a few nights ago, whom he discovered was a 25-year-old marketing executive with her brother admitted to the hospital.
Adrian was determined to get close to Elara, and he thought hard on how to do so. Then, an idea came to his mind. He picked up his phone and called his assistant. "Alex, I need you to do something for me." "Of course, sir. What do you need?" Alex replied. "Clear my day," Adrian said and hung up. He quickly gathered his phone, laptop, and some files, then rushed out of the office. He needed to attend to something, and this was one step to getting close to Elara. As he was in a hurry, he turned a corner without noticing. It was too late when he bumped into her. "Sorry, sorry, watch your steps next time," he muttered, not even slowing down. Elara paused, taken aback by his movement and words. But instead of rushing off, she was intrigued by the chance to have an encounter with a man built like that, even though she didn't get to see his face. Her day had been half-ruined by the receptionist, but the stranger had made it half satisfying As she watched Adrian hurry away, she couldn't help but notice the way he walked like a well-trained model. She smiled to herself, thinking that he had a beautiful figure, even if he was a bit out of place with his words after bumping into her. She watched him as he stepped into the car and zoomed off. ***** The Hospital The light cast an artificial glow on the white corridor. Elara navigated the rooms, her feet weak from the fruitless journey as her mind wandered. Her brother Jeremy's illness had been a constant weight on her shoulder, and the stress was beginning to tell on her. As she entered Jeremy's room, she was greeted by the familiar beeping of the machine. Her brother, Jeremy, was lying in bed, his eyes closed, his face pale. Elara sat down beside him, taking his hand in hers. "Hey, bro," she said softly. "I'm here." Jeremy opened his eyes, and a weak smile crossed his face. "Hey, sis," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. Elara's grip on his hand tightened. "I'm here for you, Jeremy. We'll get through this." As she sat with her brother, her thoughts drifted back to the stranger, his long legs, and broad shoulders, which had left a lasting impression on her. She couldn't quite put a finger on it, but there was something about him that drew her in and seemed familiar. The door to Jeremy's room creaked open, and his nurse walked in with a warm smile. "Time for your brother's medication, Elara," she said, her voice gentle. As she administered the medication, Elara sat there watching him and couldn't stop thinking of the possible way to get the surgery done. She must find the man suggested by the doctor, if that's what she needs to do. Elara's mind drifted back to her encounter with Victor and Lydia. She couldn't seem to forget the betrayal; just then, everything seemed raw. But a sense of determination washed over her; she was going to get through all of this. Hours ticked by, and the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the hospital. Elara decided to take a walk to get her mind off everything for a bit; the fresh air would do her good. The cool evening air enveloped her as she stepped out of the hospital, and she felt a sense of peace wash over her as she walked through the neighborhood. Just a few minutes later, she felt like she was being followed; she couldn't shake off the feeling. She glanced around the corner of the street, but she didn't see anyone. She tried to shrug it off, but fear gripped her. She turned back and ran to the hospital. As she opened the door to Jeremy's room, she saw a man standing next to Jeremy. He wore a shirt tucked into neatly ironed trousers. He had broad shoulders, and his short, dark hair was carefully styled. He definitely wasn't a doctor. There was something familiar about him, she thought as she stood by the door, trying to figure out what he was doing there. She knew she had seen him somewhere. Just as she stepped into the room, the familiar scent brushed past her, and it came flashing back – it was the stranger.A heavy silence settled over the villa.Adrain eyes turned cold, the warmth in his eyes that he just showed to Elara disappeared replaced by the ruthless business man that the world knows. He looked at Alex. “ Block every road leading to the exit if this island”.“Yes sir,I'm on it”.He turned to the security men that had rushed in earlier. “ Make sure nobody leaves this place,I want him caught this time”.He turned to face Elara who was still shaken but don't want to show it. He adjusted the strands of her hair away from her face. “ I'm sorry”.“This isn't your fault”.His eyes soften only for a second. “ It became my responsibility the day I asked you to stay by my side”.She look into his eyes. “ I will be fine”.But he wasn't convinced,he turned to the two female security guards. “ Stay here with Elara”.They nodded. After they stood on their position did Adrain walked away with Alex.…..Outside the villa the security personnels has already spread across the island.Drones buzzed
The villa was quiet as they layed there together still hand in hand.Adrian mind drifted back to how his life was before he met Elara. Cold and distant from everyone including his mom, until he lost her.Now they are trying to take Elara away from him too. The most annoying part was that he didn't know who he was up against. He finally got the chance of claiming her love, finally she felt the need to kiss him and admit she's getting back the feeling that might have gone MIA during the accident. He finally gets to meet the Elara he was leaving with, the only woman who took his virginity from him.The first woman he was able to open up his heart. And now some enemies are trying to gamble that with whatever their reason might be.He needs to confront them or he needs to get close to Lydia and from there,he might be able to know who she's working with.Adrain thought hard on how to plant something close to Lydia without her noticing it.Something or someone he could be able to trust, with
Elara woke up before Adrain. She stood at the window and the air smelled of salt and blooming flowers. She felt relief, the weight inside her heart was lighter this time since she woke up from the hospital. The door behind her slid open.Adrian stepped outside, dressed casually in a white shirt with the sleeves rolled to his forearms. His hair was still slightly damp from his shower.Adrain stood when he saw her. “You woke up really early “.She smiled, turning to face him. “ I don't want to miss this “.Following the directions of her eyes,he saw her looking at the ocean. “ It is what waking up for”.He stood beside her while they enjoyed the view together in silence which was no longer awkward but comfortable. After breakfast, they rented bicycles and followed a narrow coastal road that wound through hills covered in wildflowers. The ocean remained beside them almost the entire journey.Elara laughed whenever the breeze pushed against her.She looked back once and found Adrian watchi
Elara and Adrian fully packed that night. She took a lot of things with her which he felt was unnecessary since he said he can actually afford anything she wanted when they got there. But she was just being a girl, she packed everything she needed and the next morning they left for the airport.Elara couldn't have been more happy, she actually needed the vacation. A lot has been happening at home which she doesn't think she can carry the weight of at the moment.Adrain really did her good and she was grateful. They boarded the plane and sat in the VIP section. Adrain sat close to Elara. He didn't want to leave her side anymore with the fear that he doesn't know what will happen to her even with them being in the plane. He knew perfectly well that the person he was dealing with could actually do anything. He wanted to find out who was working with Lydia and why he agreed to do it before knowing his next move. But first he needs to take care of Elara, she's the only woman in the world tha
It's already too late. The word stared at Adrian, the entire security fell into a suffocating silence. They have never seen their boss struggle with evidence like this before.Adrain stared at the screen. Whoever he was dealing with wasn't just challenging him,the person is openly mocking him now.Alex immediately ordered one of the technicians, "Disconnect every terminal. I want the system isolated before they gain access to anything else.”“Yes sir”. The technician hurriedly started doing that.Within seconds everything was disconnected, the screen went blank.Adrain stood where he was with his leg rooted at the same position. His expression read nothing but his mind kept on racing. The missing maid, the anonymous email. The prisoner who vanished from a locked cell and now someone has hacked into their system. This isn't just anyone,he must be well equipped.Alex stepped closer to him. “Boss, what are you thinking?Adrain sigh slowly. “I think they are trying to control what I do,they
Silence filled the library Adrain eyes remained on the tablet in his hands. The photograph was clearly taken moment ago, Elera was still standing where she is a few minutes ago holding the frame before he snatched the medical report from her.He zoomed in on the image and it was just Elara and the bookshelf nothing else.Yet his instincts told him there was something hidden. “Where did this email come from? He ask without looking up.Alex shook his head. "Our cybersecurity team traced it through twelve encrypted servers across different countries. Every trail disappeared before they could identify the sender.”Adrain clenched his fist, right there he knew they were professionals that's handling this thing. But he still doesn't understand why Elara seem to be the main target. For all he knew the enemy Elara has is the sister but her sister definitely can't pull this all by herself.Or does she have back up?“Can someone please tell me what's going on*. Elara asked looking at her both
“Ha.”Elara felt like she had just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world.“You must take responsibility for her? Then what about me? Victor, what am I to you?”Victor pressed his lips together. He looked down at Lydia in his arms—her face pale from fear, her body still trembling. He held her
