“You were amazing,” Ansh said as he kissed her forehead; Aarvi smiled as she curled herself in his arms. He carried her out of the bathroom before making her wear one of his oversized t-shirts.

Aarvi was lying on the couch as Anshuman wore his clothes back on, his phone went off as he picked it up.

“Yes Neil,” he said, stealing a peck from her lips as he smiled at her reddened cheeks. Even after all that they did, she was still shy around him.

“Stop making love to your girlfriend and come here, we need you,” Neil said from the other end as he looked at Krish who was also there with him.

“I agreed to help you guys, stop being noisy, you two,” Anshuman said as he held Aarvi in his arms. She was a little sleepy and why would she not? He was a little too rough with her.

“Bro, you were supposed to be here three hours ago, come here fast, the situation is—we need ya,” they said over the phone as Anushman bit his lip. It did not feel right to leave his girlfriend just after he had sex with her. She had never allowed him to see her before this time. However, she could have refused his demand, his order, but she submitted herself to him.

She gave him access to her body, to do anything with her.

“I need another hour,” He looked away from her as he whispered to them.

“But Maan—“ Neil spoke.

“No,” his voice was loud and clear.

“Ansh, you can go, I am sleepy anyways,” She said, hiding her disappointment under her smile.

“See, Aarvi is agreeing too,” Neil said from the other end.

“Shut up assholes,” Anshuman screamed at them over the phone before putting it on mute. He cupped her cheeks as she stared at him.

“You know I don’t want to leave this late, leaving you alone after we just—“

“Made love, I know,” She replied as she touched his hands with hers.

“We crossed a boundary today, Ansh, the boundary of trust, love, and submission,” she looked into his eyes before she pecked the side of his lips.

“Work is important, Nash, and the way they have been calling you all this while, I think it can be pretty urgent,” She replied.

Her eyes showed disappointment but her words did not, she was just too understanding sometimes.

“Go and come back soon,” She said, placing a kiss on his cheek. He closed his eyes, he was not feeling good about leaving her alone, but he needed to go.

“I’ll be back soon,” he said as he kissed her palm. Aarvi smiled as he pulled her closer to his body.

“Are you coming or not?” Neil asked from the side as Aarvi and Ansh looked at the phone screen. Aarvi kissed his chest. He smiled.

“I am reaching, idiots,” he said and hung up the call.

“I’ll be back in an hour,” he said as she nodded, kissing him one last time.

The door shut with a loud thud as she turned around to look at it. He had left.

Aarvi had not thought much when she said yes but when she noticed his wallet lying on the couch, she quickly picked it up and looked at him as she opened the main door of the flat.

He had just taken the stairs. Aarvi wanted to yell his name but suddenly she stopped herself. Her elders always thought she would never call anyone from behind when they were leaving for something or some work.

Well, let’s say you can take an indian out of India but never India out of indian. She picked up her scarf and walked out of the house.

She decided she would just hide in the car and scare him. It will be fun... With that intention, she walked to the elevator, knowing it would take a few minutes for him to reach downstairs to the parking lot.

Aarvi opened his car with the help of an extra key and hid in the back seat.

Soon Anshuman reached his car and opened the door of it. He did not notice Aarvi’s presence there. Aarvi was about to scare him when his phone went off as he picked up the call.

“Neil, I gave you one fucking job but you could not even do it properly,” he said harshly over the phone.

“You used to handle this work, not us,” Neil said from the other end.

“I am reaching,” he said over the phone and hung up the call as Aarvi’s heartbeat stopped.

Does it mean he never really stopped his criminal activities? Did he?

.

Aarvi’s P. O. V.

My heart hammered in my chest as I ducked my head in the backseat of Ansh’s car; no my Ansh can’t do this. He promised me, he had promised to leave all his illegal work behind.

No my Ansh, my Ansh can’t do this to me. I trust him, I trust him with my life.

‘That is why you are still hiding,’ her inner self mocked as her throat ran dry.

‘I know my Ansh will prove me wrong,’ I said to myself as beads of sweat rolled down my spine. The cold chill of terror is not helping at all.

I curled myself to the side on the floor of the car so that his graze does not land on me; he drove for a full 30 minutes before he stopped. And walked out of the car.

I turned to look around, there were trees all around and a place that looked more like a warehouse. Looking around to where Ansh went, I found him walking inside the warehouse.

Why are you going there, Ansh? This—this place looks scary. I unlocked the car door, bruising my arm in the process.

“Ouch!” I cried when it turned all red; letting the pain subside, I walked in the direction where Ansh went.

This is going to be fine, they’d be… they’d just be here for—for drinks, yes, drinks. There won’t be anything serious, nothing serious at all.

I trust you, Ansh. I trust you.

Making sure not to make any noise, I walked inside the gates of the warehouse. It took a few seconds for my vision to adjust to the low lights around the area.

There were no workers, nothing, just silence and lots of clothes, bags, shoes, and appliances. I licked my lips as I read the name on the board near the door.

“Adaa enterprises,” it read. I knew my Ansh couldn’t do anything wrong. He left that life for me, he left everything for me. I made no mistake in choosing him.

I turned around to go out. I would wait near his car and tell him everything; I know he will be angry for not putting my trust in him initially, but I do trust him and that is why I am not walking any further into this place.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaa!” The loud scream of a man made me stop in my tracks.

“Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, pleaseeeee…. Pleaseeee…. Leave me!”

“Stop! Aaaaaaaaaaa!” screams after screams made me drop my phone on the ground. My hands started shivering as I looked around.

There was something going on in here, something I had no idea about; something cruel, something bad.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaa! Anshuman, pleaseeee leave me!” another scarem made me shiver; Ansh? My Ansh? My Ansh was where these—these screams were coming from?

Taking deep breaths, I forced my legs to move in the direction of the screams. They just got louder and louder.

“What do you think, bastard? Can you steal from us? What you stole is worth millions, even selling your organs would not help!” Ansh’s voice. That was Anshuman’s voice.

I gulped as I hid behind the sack of clothes and moved toward the private room. A few murmurs were heard, I suppose Neil and Krish were there with him, in all this!

What I saw next did not allow me to breathe, I saw him, I saw my Ansh pointing a gun at someone.

“You deserve to die,” I gasped.
