Emma's POV
I ran frantically out of the hotel , as the same memory kept coming back . Cole's face grinning wickedly, a machete in hand , nearer and nearer cussing at me.
His insults a constant reminder of the wrong decisions I made in my life. His painful insults like a dagger constantly stabbing my frail heart. That's why I ran, because I saw another Cole inform of Cain Powers infront of me.
One that would beat me up every night he came home. Lock me up in chains , burn my skin with a curling iron, I was scared to death. My heart nudging me to run further and further even though I knew nothing of my surroundings.
People constantly watching me, made me scared, scared that at any time Cole would jump out and hurt me. My heart which thumped so loud wouldn't lemme think for a minute and that's when I looked up only to see a black SUV coming my way at an excruciating speed and I knew I was a goner!

Emma's POVI woke up to the sound of beeping machines around me, my head throbbing threatening to pop out of my body. Emma's POVThe nurse drew the curtains allowing beams of light to strike my sleepy face. I turned slightly to the side table near the beeping machines coming face to face with a huge pink teddy bear, a satin bow onto it.Next to it were some bouquet of yellow roses the same ones from yesterday but these ones smelled fresh adding fragrance to the dull room I was admitted in.Ooh Marlon,he's such a sweetheart!I said deep within my thoughts, I am sure they cost him a lot. Emma's POVHe stood in the door, filling it, and hatred raged and flamed in the back of his eyes. Emma's POVI walked down the street as the wind howled my dress from side to side. Today went on well, I mean working as a waitress wasn't as bad as Ace made it to be. For the first time in forever I could say that I was actually happy with my new job.
