His hands roamed his body frantic with worry. His necklace was not on his neck, neither was it in the new cloths he had on. He got off the bed and his brows scrunched at the little strength he had in his legs.

His bare feet against the floor felt a little too cold for him, ignoring it however was easier when he focused on the bigger problem he had.

Did they take off his chain while trying to change him?

"No, who has it?" he searched the room and underneath the bed with the hopes that it had rolled under. "Mom?"

He called at the negative result while he made his way out, pulling the door open and their missing presence reminding him they had all stepped out. His uncertainity on their path only lasted a second as he recalled they had made a right turn.

Letting his feet make a dash down the corridor, his eyes searched around with a desperate hope that someone had tucked it away safely for him. The second he made a turn at the corner, his gaze bumped into the two familiar eyes that fr

  • His silent voice.   Apology.

His heart jumped with a different excitement deeper than he the ones he had gone through all day. He sprang off the wall and stood in front of Theo while trying to stare into his soul."You have?"Theo nodded and his eyes stung him slightly."W-where? He's with Heralis, isn't he? Is he... Is he okay? Where is it? C-can I help out, is there anything I can do?" he got desperate, but Theo only shook his head."We know where Kyle is... and that is all I plan to tell you.""What?""I only told you that so you won't be worried, Dylan, we don't plan to drag you into anything dangerous anymore and right now you should focus on yourself and nothing else. We've all decided to keep you out of this, we can't hurt you a second time." His face dropped. Theo meant every word he said, but it didn't matter how nicely or how gentle he had put it. It wasn't what he wanted to hear or needed at the moment."So you're telling me to just sit back and do nothing?""Dylan--""I want to help too, I can't do

  • His silent voice.   Return.

He never once thought a hit to his health would affect much around him... but he had never been so wrong. It changed everything. It felt unreal, but it was hard for him to miss out the truth when the repercussions of his actions played out clearly. It took three day after he woke up to get discharged from the hospital, when he was cleared for being in perfect shape. For three days he had been thoroughly observed for being a special occurence, while some gave the praises to the stranger of a doctor who he never got to see.Apparently, the 'doctor' never worked at the hospital and wasn't the type to help out. So why he helped him and why he disappeared the second he woke up, he had no idea. Three days spent at the hospital and none of the Waltson's showed up once. Nothing about that changed after regardless of his return home. Both families had lost their relationship over the night and had made themselves into total strangers. His being hurt had his family more shaken up than he had

  • His silent voice.    Care.

Dorry held him back again, the weight on his chest growing heavy with every second that passed with him having no clear idea of what happened to the necklace."Why? Who has it then? I need to get it back." he stared Dorry in the eyes."You can't. It's really broken."Dorry's words felt like a stone dropped on his heart."W-what? What do you mean it..." his mouth dropped and the situation took a grave turn. He recalled Kyle's words concerning the repercussion of breaking the crystal and fear gripped him. "N-no, no, no, no, you don't understand, I can't afford to lose it. That would..." his chest heaved and his worries shook him up. He cupped his forehead at the stress he felt building up while he still couldn't wrap his head around the sudden news. "No. No, no,"He turned to leave again."You really shouldn't bring it up right now, Dylan.""Why did she break it?" he turned back to Dorry with a new emotion welling up inside him. "Why didn't you stop her? Was it what Heralis said, is tha

  • His silent voice.   Author's note.

Hello everyone(;ŏ﹏ŏ) Dear readers, this is going to be my last note to all, not because the story has come to an end... it hasn't. It's simply because I do not wish to cut into the story anymore before it gets annoying, and so, this will be my last note until the end of this story. Firstly, I've been doing this a lot but this is an apology for the lack of updates😅, it's been a busy road on my side and as much as I wished it didn't cut into my updates... it did(╥﹏╥), another apology as it hasn't stopped. Which brings me to bring to our official notice that this dear author will be taking a short break that consists of the whole of September. It breaks my heart to cut us all off at this point of the story but I promise to return with daily updates as I would steal this period to upgrade my capacity towards this book. Secondly, this story has not come to an end, I can assure you that. This can basically be considered the end of season 1 with the next updates begining the s

  • His silent voice.   Stay away.

Dylan's eyes slowly blinked open, his sight taking a moment to deblur the heads hovering over him. "D...an?" "Can y... ar me?" He groaned at the fading voices, their gentle voices taking a clear identity in spite of his slow hearing. "...Mom?" Their quiet rejoice and exhales of relief had him squeeze his eyes shut again, this act doing the trick as a second glance at them cleared up his sight to see their worried faces and swollen eyes still filled with tears, making him take a second to recall why his voice was so hoarse and why the ceiling looked unfamiliar. "Guys, where are we?" "Oh god, Dylan." his mom broke into tears again, her hands that had held on to his for a while cupped it up to her cheeks that held her falling tears. "Dylan, oh my... you really had us worried." Bree exhaled heavily as she wiped off what seemed like tears. Was he dreaming? "God, this was so hard to watch." His dad smiled with tears in his eyes. As he glanced at the three stressed presence in th
