The subtle chime of a bell seeped into Dylan's awakening consciousness. The soothing breeze calming his every nerves, pushed him to relax further, but despite his body's lazy attitude, his eyes slowly fell open and the open sky met his gaze.

He laid still for a minute, taken by the breathtaking view of the clouds quietly moving along with the wind. Never had he caught such a sight even at his most liesure time.

"Wait up!"

The next array of children cheerful laughters called him, causing him to sit up, only to have his mouth in a confused gape as he glanced around. The greenery of the hill stretched far out of sight, unknown little kids dressed in a long white dress chased after a bunny like he wasn't their business.

His eyes glanced around the area and he drowned more into fear than confusion. The only thing in sight was a huge tree in full bloom with beautiful white flowers he didn't recognize. It also swayed around in the direction of the wind and had petals fall off elegantly

  • His silent voice.   Don't tell.

He paused, letting the passing car honk give them both a moment to breathe. A little too late for that, isn't it? “I thought it was weird, Heralis finding out about how you're able to charge Kyle's powers–” “Heralis found out or you mean you told her?” He cuts in, snipping a shot at Aaron who lost his composure for a second. “..yes- that, I'm– I'm sorry, but listen. I found it weird that she was not against you helping Kyle and I now know why. It's 'cause…” Aaron hesitated to let out the truth he likely was very much aware of. “You're snuffing out your life in exchange for Kyle's powers.” The silence between them dragged on for a moment, then he realized it had long been his cue to react. “Oh! Oh my, wow, for real? Oh god, that's… that's insane.” His voice dried out, but he couldn't give it anymore than he already did. “D-didn’t you get what I said?” Aaron looked concerned as he stepped closer. “Your life is fading out in exchange for Kyle's powers. Heralis is only letting you

  • His silent voice.   Mate.

Kyle's silence made him realize he wasn't as prepared as he thought he was for an answer. His body withdrew from Kyle's comfort and he spun around to sit in a position that could get him a clear look at Kyle's face. Surprisingly, it was a look of confusion that met his. ^^What do you mean?^^ "I mean," he shrugged, certain his question had been a straightforward one. "I heard every dragon has a mate, surely, you have yours too. Don't you... want to know who it is?" Kyle's brows furrowed as he folded his arms in thought. **Does he mean like fortune telling? For one I don't know who it is but I know who I want it to be.** He shifted confusedly, was his question not as direct as he thought? "I mean, what if one day someone shows up claiming to be your mate? How can you be sure that person is telling the truth?" Kyle raised a brow, his confused gaze switching up. **He seems to have the wrong idea about mates. How do I explain this to him?** He blinked, wondering what new context he

  • His silent voice.   Meal.

**He what?!** Kyle brought his face down his side with a gaze he could already tell of without turning around. The new spoon of food being more important at the moment. **Aaron with Heralis? Doing what?** “Does she have something on him?” He leaned forward to fill his mouth and he let Kyle drop the spoon to type into his phone. ~~What do you mean by that? Did she do something to him?~~ He took his time chewing, carefully considering his words to know if he was going to flash Aaron's lying ass to Kyle or go easy on him.“Let me ask you this first, does he work for Heralis?” **What? No.** ~~He doesn't.~~ “Is he on your side or Heralis?” He stared back at Kyle who held on to his curiosity with patience. **I mean, Aaron does a lot of crazy things, but one of them is definitely not siding with Heralis. If anyone hates her as much as I do, it's Aaron. She took his family after all.**He blinked back, not expecting the truth he knew nothing about. ~~Aaron’s stupid, but I don't thi

  • His silent voice.   Warning.

For the next few minutes, he wasn't sure how he had managed to find himself laying on the bed with a blank gaze at the ceiling, completely motionless with Kyle quietly awaiting his next order. His errands to Kyle had given him enough time to pull his shit together despite the mind breaking pain he had to go through. Thankfully, the pain began fading off before Kyle arrived, he did take some extra time in the bathroom, but he had veiled it up with the act of turning the shower on and getting the chance to clean up the mess he had made. Making sure he shoved every stained toilet paper down the toilet and fushing them off. His eyes and nose had stopped bleeding, he didn't have the urge to throw up anymore, but the subdued ache that still remained in his stomach didn't make it seem save to remain in the hotel with Kyle any longer. What would he do if it happened again? If Kyle was right next to him and he got another nose bleed or gut-wretching pain like he did earlier, he surely would

  • His silent voice.   Stain.

**...What? Like-- right now, right now? Five minutes?!** Kyle panicked and his hands slipped off as he tried to run off, but then he came back again. Attempting to carry him from behind and making him freak out in fear of Kyle seeing what he had tried to hide with the errand. Grabbing hold of the tank cover, he yelled. **No! What are you doing? I'm still trying to use the bathroom."**Oops, sorry.** Kyle's hands flew off as he stepped back, letting his heart fall back to its original spot."Aren't you going? You have less then five minutes now!” **Shit. But, do I really go out this way? Ugh, whatever!**He peeked back to watch Kyle step out of the toilet, hoping Kyle wouldn't see through his lies or desperation to get him out of the room. Thankfully, Kyle didn't because he ran out in a hurry, leaving him grateful as he hurried behind him to shut the door and turn the lock. “Oh! And cover your eyes, they're glowing!” *Wha- fuck!** He could hear Kyle panicking while moving around wit

  • His silent voice.   Repercussion.

What? Was he on drugs or something? He was still not satisfied even after all they had done?“Kill me.” He exhaled to himself and felt Kyle stop.**We're here, can he stand or do I just hold him up till he's done?**“You better be kidding with that,” his head went up, “Just let me down.” **Alright.****...fuck, he hates me now.**His eyes rolled at the overreaction he got while he let his body slide down till he stood on his legs, a decision that only took a second for him to regret. His legs feel asleep immediately, and he might've been the next rug on the floor if Kyle hadn't held him up.^^It’s fine, I'll hold you up.^^ Kyle signed between his look of remorse. So what? Was he expecting him to relieve himself while he was watching?“Close your eyes.” His cheeks heated up, it was quite the absurd request when they were literally both standing stark naked.Yet Kyle shut his eyes immediately, his guess being to avoid getting into any more trouble. And when he made sure Kyle wasn't pee
