The car ride that day felt different, no… it was different.

Theo glanced to the side at Lucas who had the wheels next to him. It was just another day trip for them to the hospital, to continue their search for the dragon specialist. However, unlike the normal day, it was awfully quiet. Lana and Terry sitting in the back seat had unusually gone silent. The reason was simple.

Dylan was now seated between them.

The inclusion of one more person was not supposed to change that much, it was Dylan after all. But yet it did.

    “Are you seriously planning to drink up this whole jar of coffee?” Theo had to ask, now genuinely concerned about the amount of coffee Jace was swallowing up while they sat at the dinner table.It took another two hours after his post as an armrest before Jace finally declared the healing finished.
