Time passed quickly for Amal and Hussein. The dove hadn't even settled in her nest and needed to return to her chicks. Amal sat on a chair in the living room of the villa, her phone in her hand, having just finished her call with Malik. Hussein emerged from the bathroom wearing a white robe and walked towards Amal.

Hussein: What's this? Why did you change your clothes?

Do you want to go out?

Amal: I told you, Hussein, that Sophia and Malik are staying in my apartment and have no one else to stay with.

Hussein, angrily: What do you mean by that?

Amal stood up, approached Hussein, and spoke in a low voice: I'll talk to them and tell them you're back from your trip, and starting tomorrow, I'll be with you all the time.

Hussein: I understand your position, and if you want to bring them to live with us here, I have no problem with that. The house is big, and I'm like a father to them. Amal moved closer to Hussein and placed her hand on his shoulder: Thank you, Hussein, for your kindness. I'll never forget it. You have a big, compassionate heart. She gave Hussein a long kiss on the mouth.

Malik arrived in his car in front of the villa gate. Malik stops the car. He picks up his mobile phone and calls Amal. Amal ends her kiss with Hussein when she hears the phone ring. She steps back and picks it up from the table.

Amal: Hello?

Malik: I've arrived at the place you sent me to.

Amal: Okay, my love. Wait a moment, and I'll ask Uncle Sayed to open the gate for you. Amal calls Uncle Sayed.

Amal: Please, Uncle Sayed, open the gate for Mr. Malik.

Gatekeeper: Yes, Madam Amal.

The gatekeeper opens the gate. Malik's car enters.

Amal gives Hussein a light kiss: I'll miss you.

She picks up her bag and leaves.

Hussein: Give my regards to the boys.

Amal stands and looks back at Hussein with a smile: I love you. She exits the villa and closes the door behind her.

Amal: She opens the car door and sits next to Malik. Amal: I'm sorry, Malik, I've troubled you, but your Uncle Hussein has just returned from his trip, and I didn't want to burden him.

Malik: No, Auntie. He starts the car. Amal: Aren't you going to tell me where you were? You seem calm and happy. We're starting to wake up.

Malik doesn't know what to say, so he replies spontaneously, "I was."

Amal: Of course, there's someone else with us. If you want to say something, don't hesitate. Malik remains silent and says, "Thank God the situation passed peacefully."

Amal: Can I ask you something? Malik: Of course, Auntie.

Amal: I want you to talk more and get back to your normal life.

Malik: Yes, I will.

Amal: It would be okay if you played the cassette tape. Malik plays the music.

_Justice can sometimes err_ It's not necessary for the wrongdoer to be punished!!!

Inside the Public Prosecutor's office at three in the afternoon, the prosecutor sits behind his desk.

Zidan sits in front of him.

Prosecutor: Where do you live? Zidan: It's the same place where the incident happened, sir.

Prosecutor: What do you do for a living?

Zidan: I own a mobile phone shop. Prosecutor? Prosecutor: Tell me everything you saw and know about the accident?

Zidan: Honestly, I'm sorry I was standing quite a distance from the accident, about 200 or 300 meters away. I saw the victim, from the force of the impact, fly through the air and fall into the middle of the street. I was following the incident because it was on my route. But I couldn't see who was inside the car, a man or a woman.

Prosecutor: Do you have anything else to say? Zidan: No, that's all I saw.

Prosecutor: Sign your statement and may I leave?

Zidan: Thank you, sir.

Zidan signs in front of the clerk and leaves the office.

Prosecutor: The report is closed on this day and date until any new evidence or eyewitnesses are discovered. It will be reopened if necessary, by order of the prosecution.

-Perhaps the whole world is covering up your crime.

Amal went to Sophia's room. She knocked and entered. Sophia had just woken up and was still lying in bed. Amal: Good morning, Sophia. Sofia: Good morning, Auntie.

Amal: Could you go into the living room for a bit? I need to ask your opinion about something important.

Sofia: Of course, Auntie. Amal went out and closed the door.

Amal went to Malik's room. She knocked on his door and entered.

Malik was lying on the bed, holding his mobile phone. He sat up.

Amal: Good morning, Malik.

Malik: Good morning, Auntie.

Amal: Could you come out? I need to talk to you about something.

Malik became aware of Amal's words and became nervous. He thought to himself, "Did my aunt know about the accident?"

Malik, his voice trembling: "Yes, Auntie." Amal left the room smiling and closed the door.

Malik searched for the accident report on his mobile phone. He took pictures of the accident online and read the news that the prosecution had closed the case against an unknown perpetrator. Malik breathed a sigh of relief.

He entered the room, stopped in front of Nilly, and said, “You were late at the beach.”Nilly replied, “I was sitting with Naomi.”“Naomi?” Adel said.“Yes,” Nilly answered. “I had to talk to her after I learned about her illness. Inside the roomThe room was bathed in trembling shadows cast by a yellow lamp. Masks lay scattered on the table—silent faces watching, witnessing, but saying nothing. Malik stood before them, examining each one with strange precision, as if reading the spirits trapped behind their hollow eyes. He lifted a mask, placed it against his own face, looked in the mirror, then slowly removed it to try on the next… until he stopped at the woman’s mask. With deliberate calm, he approached Magda, lifted the mask, and pressed it gently—then firmly—against her face until it molded to her skin. His voice came low, carrying both persuasion and a strange, dark tenderness:This mask will make you stronger…stronger in ways you cannot undo. There are paths we take from which there is no turning back—but sometimes, we must walk them to the end. Let the fear go. "Let me help you accept who you've become." Magda stood motionless, as if under a silent spell. Her breath quickened, her hands trembled. Around

NightMalik’s car stopped on the street, a few meters from the minister’s villa, enveloped by the shadows of the trees and the heavy night. The dim yellow lights from the streetlights cast broken lines on the ground, their reflections dancing across the car as if watching everyone come and go.Malik sat behind the wheel, wearing a mask of deceit, his eyes scanning every movement, every light, every shadow. Beside him sat Daniel, wearing a mask of happiness, silently observing Malik’s reactions. In the back seat, Dima and Rovan sat behind their prosthetic masks, waiting for instructions, their eyes taking in every small detail with alertness. In front of the villa’s gate, the guards paced back and forth. DaylightThe light filtered weakly through the curtains, as if afraid to touch anything inside.Malik, wearing his Heshmat mask, stood facing the calendar pinned to the living room wall. His gaze was fixed on the page that read, in clear handwriting:Saturday 11/10/2025.Below the date was a small, solemn phrase—almost like a moral reminder etched into his conscience:"It is forbidden to take an innocent human life."Malik stared at the inscription for a long moment. Then, slowly, he reached out and tore the page from the calendar. His hand gripped it until it crumbled, as if crushing the weight of his sins.He took a deep breath, turned away from the wall, and walked to the door.He opened it and stepped out with deliberate resolve. Behind him followed Daniel, wearing a happy mask, then Dima, her face hidden behind the mask of an unknown girl—the one whose image he had ripped from the depths of the internet.
