Chapter 19: A Rival

Shane had his schedule worked out nicely for the next few weeks. He would attend most of his classes in the morning and during the afternoons, he would go for his internship at MST. A month after he started there, he received his first paycheck of two thousand dollars. Shane was ecstatic when he held the cheque in his hand. Although he really wanted to spoil himself, he knew that there was something far more important that needed the money.

Shane immediately went to the bank to cash in the cheque and add it to his savings. He took a look at how much he saved already and was surprised to realise that he was only up to 8000 dollars. It had been two months already and he couldn't even manage to get to ten thousand dollars.
