Chapter 8: The Dinner

Shane first went back to the dorm to freshen up. He wasn’t really into social gatherings, but if he didn’t want to be seen as an outcast in his class. He knew that the sooner he interacted with his classmates, the better. He also kept reminding himself that he was on a deadline and that he had to make sure he get his hands on some funds as soon as possible.

Around quarter to seven the evening, Shane arrived at the le Chapeau, a French restaurant located in the heart of Los Angeles. It was quite a fancy place, but the prices. Shane swallowed hard as he thought about what it would cost to dine there.
