Chapter 48. The Prey

"Isabella! Slow down, no one is going to compete with you against the fresh meat of a deer! You are incredibly faster than any wolf right now so you might at least want me to catch up."

I pace slowly When I hear the words coming from Richard In the Mind link. As I notice the trees and the plants near me have been thicker than before. We are now in the deeper part of the forest.

"But it's moving Richard, I can smell its movements going back and forth."

He was farther than I had expected, Richard is accompanying me for my first Hunt. As we had discussed, I was glad that Alpha Charles did not come along.
