Krav

She pointed to the edge of the cave. “Sometimes the tunnels glow. They said if I saw it I should run toward the water.”

“You didn’t see the lights tonight.”

She shook her head. “No.”

“Did you see anyone else.”

“No.”

I studied the bodies without moving them. Torn throats. The bite marks were wrong. Not a clean predators doing. The edges were ragged. Something pulled. I leaned in closer. No defensive marks on the forearms. No scrapes on the hands. No kicking damage. They either didn’t fight or couldn’t.

I stood. I checked the mouth of the cave. Shallow scuffs in the dust. More than one. Not fox steps. Boots. Size medium. Two sets at least. In and out. No prints on the rock. They knew where to step. They’d been here before or they were careful.

I walked back to Olana. “I’m going to stand near the entrance. You stay with them. I’ll keep my eyes on the door. No one comes in.”

She looked at my hands. “You’re shaking.”

“I’m cold,” I said. It wasn’t true, but I wasn’t giving he

Ashlyn Nope,” he said, grin stretching. “Just drunk off their asses, probably dancing with humans.” I turned on my heel and stormed down the hall. Mira scrambled to follow, still gasping with laughter. “Shut up,” I muttered. “You should’ve seen your face,” she wheezed. “All serious, crime in you head, and it turns out they’re at a rave.” “I hate this place,” I said flatly. “You love it.” I ignored her..... Of course Mira wouldn’t let it go. By the time we got outside, she was still giggling, wiping at her eyes like she’d watched the funniest movie of her life. “Glow-in-the-dark war paint,” she said between laughs. “Can you imagine?” “I’m imagining ripping their ears off when they stumble back in.” “Better idea,” Mira said, eyes bright. “We show up at the rave.” I stopped dead. “What?” “Think about it. They’re wolves. Drunk wolves at a human party. They’re going to slip. Somebody’s going to notice. Better we find them before they shift on the dance floor.” I pinche

Ashlyn I hated door to door work. If I wanted to be ignored, lied to, or stared at like I’d grown a second head, I’d spend more time with the Elders. At least then there’d be food. The first door was a bust. An old woman with hair like straw opened, sniffed once, and shut it without a word. “Friendly,” I muttered, turning to the next. Mira smirked. “Maybe she smelled your attitude.” I shot her a look sharp enough to cut. She smiled wider. Second door, same story. Guy cracked it, saw me, and slammed it so fast dust fell from the frame. “That’s two,” Mira said helpfully. “Keep count and I’ll bite you,” I snapped. She didn’t flinch. “You promise?” I growled and stomped to the third. The door swung open halfway, revealing a rat shifter with watery eyes and hands stained green from herbs. He grinned, showing teeth too sharp for his face. “Looking for something, girlies?” “Four wolves,” I said. “Seen them?” He reached for a jar behind him, the liquid inside a fou

Krav Ellan checked his messages. “No one is missing. We’ll run the full roll. If there’s no one, we place her in the Tower for now. I’ll take responsibility.” He set the phone down. “Evidence first. Then we'll have to let the press know.” “Press hears nothing,” I said. “Correct,” Ellan said. Haden rubbed the back of his neck. “We need to set a quiet ring around this area. If the killers come back, they’ll come back to watch. They always do.” I nodded. “Two up-line. Two down. No uniforms. No chatter.” Ellan tapped the order out. “Done.” I moved to the sink and ran cold water over my hands. They shook more than I wanted. Haden watched me. “You want to say something, say it.” “About what,” I asked. “You know what.” I dried my hands. “No.” He stared at me. “You’re pissed about New York.” “I’m working,” I said. He didn’t stop. “I know how that feels. Wanting something you can’t control. Thinking control will make you feel better.” “Stop talking about her,” I s

Hello Awesome amazing readers I am loving Kravs energy, and while you guys might notice I'm updating some chapters, they aren't changing. (There is nothing new added to the storyline) I'm just neatening up the book and add a bit more to the scenes. I can't believe what Haden and Ash did. like, omg. what do we do? Now that part one is almost at an end, please show your support as the story is only as popular as the readers. The more readers, the more I will write. I can't spend too much time on a not so popular book when others need some effort. love you guys cheers

  • How to Catch a Mate   Chapter 88

KravIt was late. The Tower’s night shift ran a tight watch, but the building felt hollow. The honshu didn’t want to sit. The dragon side was edgy. The panther wanted its mate. None of that helped me work.I kept pulling my phone out. Checking for messages. Nothing from her. Good. Bad. I didn’t want to hear from Ashlyn. I wanted her to want me. I wanted her to admit it. To chase me. To fix what she broke. I hated that I wanted that. I hated myself for it. But at the same time she was fucking mine. She had been before I knew for certain she was my true mate.I forced my focus back to the north lines. Wards pulsed blue at regular intervals. I checked each one. The readings were clean. The phone buzzed. I looked. Chase.“What? Bored already?”"Nah. What's up your anus?"“Nothing." I sighed, cause Chase was my friend. "You always answer like that?” he asked. His voice had that slow push that was supposed to sound relaxed. It wasn’t.“Depends who’s calling.”“It’s me. Don’t hang up.” Hi
