Chapter 15

The aroma of food awoke me from my sleep. Something smelled really good!

My eyes fluttered open and I got out of bed.

Walking into the kitchen, I met Alex making breakfast.

"Good morning Annie." He smiled.

"Good morning. I would have made breakfast for us." I said and he shook his head.

"It's time you try my culinary skills. I'm the best chef in the world." He winked and I playfully rolled my eyes.

"We'll see about that."

He placed a tray infront of me and my mouth immediately watered. There was a ham sandwich and damn it looked so good. There was also a fruit bowl and a glass of grapefruit juice.

I dug into the meal and I wasn't disappointed. It was absolutely delicious.

"This is so good Alex. You're my new personal chef." I said and he chuckled.

"I'm glad you like it. Told you I was the best."

"Oh, don't flatter yourself."

"Did you finish the fruit bowl?" He asked and I shook my head.
