"Don't kill the messenger!" Felix raised his hands in surrender as he shot me his shit-eating grin.

I grumbled and walked past him to my room. I needed to change my shirt because Red's scent on the one I was wearing was driving me insane, not to mention that it would keep me hard as steel the entire meeting with Alpha Arlo and his Luna. Felix followed me inside and leaned his back against the door as soon as he closed it.

"What?!" I growled. The beam on his face started to seriously infuriate me.

"Do you want to claim her?" he asked, watching me button up my fresh black shirt.

"Who?" I raised my eyebrows, stupidly denying that I knew what he meant.

He huffed, "Seriously? You're gonna play like this?"

"She's a rogue, Felix," I said, never realizing that those words might sound so cruel.

"She's the daughter of an Alpha. I'm positive about it. I could find out more about her origins if you want me to…" The devilish smirk on his mouth only proved that he said it to tempt me,
