The next activity passed quickly.
'We'll get them here at the cafeteria. Luke will be the weak link,' Andrew muttered from behind the book he was reading.
Ryan put the book he was holding over his face down. 'Is it necessary to have these books cover our faces, and why must they be here?' Ryan pointed at Ethan and Suzanne who were doing arm wrestling at a nearby table.
Ryan crossed his arms as he watched his two other squad members at play, like they had no other care in the world.
'We weren't present during their escapades. Why do they have to tag along ours?' Ryan frowned, closing his eyes.
Andrew merely glanced at him and continued monitoring the table that squad 15 sat at. 'It would look absurd and suspicious if only both of us just sat here without the rest of our teammates...,' he offered then shrugged. 'Besides it's lunchtime. We all ought to be here anyway.'

Andrew stood with an unimpressed look, staring at the two girls. In his hands was a large tray holding enough food for his team.Ryan stood beside him looking neutral.Annabelle soon lost interest in Suzanne. 'Hey! Ryan!' she exclaimed and made to meet him but the look Andrew threw her way halted her in her tracks.'Why don't you find somewhere else to go? You're causing a nuisance,' Andrew stated nonchalantly as he walked past her and sat down opposite Ethan and placed the tray of food on the table.'Let's go Annabelle,' Edward called. Suzanne snorted and looked defeated.'That's right, get lost!' Suzanne beamed triumphantly.Annabelle shoved her as she passed by, 'Out of my way!' she sniggered.'Oh dear....,' Wallis ran his hand through his hair, a worried expression on his face. 'C'mon Wallis...,' Justin threw his arm around
'Hey what's happening over there?' Ethan asked, standing curiously to see over the small crowd that was forming at one of the tables.Ryan smirked. 'I'm guessing a fight.'Suzanne's eyes lit up. 'Ooh! I love a good fight! Let's go and see!' she stood up hurriedly, yanking Ethan's hand along with her, and knocking over his plate of food as she passed by without taking any notice of what she had done.'Hey! Suzanne...slow down!' Ethan protested as she dragged him off.Andrew rolled his eyes. 'What a klutz.''Do you think we should check it out?' Andrew glanced at Ryan who was speaking. 'It'll be cool to bask in our hardwork you know,' Ryan continued, as he shifted his gaze to the crowd once more.Andrew rolled his eyes. 'That's highly unnecessary. You can head out alone,' he continued as he went back to his phone. 'Not that I care anyway
'Sheesh, get up Luke!' Bridget said, bursting into his room.He groaned and turned to the other side putting his pillow on his ear. 'Go away,' he told her.'You're such a slob Luke. Your room's a mess!' Winter said as she also entered his room. He angrily sat up. What were his two elder sisters doing in his room?'Both of you. Out!' he ordered. Bridget scoffed and crossed her arms.'I know you're the baby of the house Luke but that doesn't mean you should act like a baby. Waking up late...,' she said.'....And having an untidy room,' Winter added. He clenched his fists. 'It's. Saturday!' he informed them through gritted teeth. Their mum came in too. 'Get up Luke. It's 12:00pm already,' she said, then left.Luke made his way downstairs after a while. Eliza was reading a book when he entered. 'Hey Liz,' he called but she b
THAT'S ENOUGH!' Snow thundered as she blasted sound waves from her gadget at the incoming arrows. They felt to the floor with a clang, not harming the two girls.Luke crossed his hands and snorted. 'That'll teach you never to mess with my order again!' he said mostly to Janet.Ava clenched her fists angrily. The idiot had almost killed them. 'Luke you--!' She started but Snow cut in. 'I said enough!''Squad 15, you're in big trouble!' an authoritative voice cut through the tense air. They all looked up at the intruder. It was a man. One of their instructors!Snow glared hard at Luke, who looked away.'Fighting is highly prohibited,' he said with a slight frown.'We're so sorry sir, what actually happened was--,' Snow started but the instructor waved his hand, cutting her short.'No excuses! No
A week had passed by, and scuffle upon scuffle had broken out in most of the other groups. Though squad 10 hadn't realized it yet but in the act of causing lots of confusion in the other groups, they had kind of gotten closer.'Is it lunchtime yet? I'm starving!' Ethan exclaimed as they returned from their marathon race.Suzanne groaned. 'I'm just awfully thirsty. Did we really have to run that far? And strapped together too!' she said then wiped off a bead of sweat from her forehead.Andrew silently passed her a bottle of water.'Thanks,' she readily gulped it down.'You ought to have brought a bottle along, you heard that racing was involved. What were you expecting?' Ryan asked her.She walked on ahead, drinking the water. 'Don't be so cold Ryan,' she said as she passed him.Andrew glanced at his watch.
'Hey Nerd. Snow's talking to you,' Luke called Janet's attention and she pried her eyes away from the table on which squad 10 sat and fixed her gaze on him.He was playing with his fries absentmindedly. She decided to ignore him.He still sulked about the fact that the instructor had made their whole squad write "I won't ever fight my comrade" a thousand times. The punishment had hit him the most. He hated anything that made him sit so still or spelt of boredom. And he blamed Janet for everything.Ava ate her chilli quietly. Apart from Luke, she was also a fan of dangerous activities, anything brazen and daring and sitting still for hours wasn't her style. She was still trying to get herself back.'What was that Snow? Sorry, I wasn't listening,' Janet said.Snow glanced at Squad 10's table. 'What's up with t
Suzanne yawned. It was still very early in the morning. She rubbed her sleepy eyes. 'Ethan, why'd you call me out here? I'm tired.''Ethan?'She put forth her arms and looked round about her. There was no one there. She frowned as she tried to think hard.'Suzanne....,' she had heard a knock earlier at her window. She had frowned as she turned over.'Suzanne!' The knock had gone louder.'What?!' she had startled as she was roused from sleep.'Un...it's me, Ethan,' the voice was muffled.'What are you doing out there?' Suzanne had asked as she had rolled her eyes.'Just come on out...um...I need to tell you something really 'mportant,' there was an urgency in his voice.'Nope,' she had gone back to snuggle on her bed.'Please...,' Ethan's voice had b
'Oh man...I didn't think they'll find out this soon,' Ethan said, relaxing his back on the tree.'Well,' Andrew started, looking up from his phone. 'We weren't really being inconspicuous about the whole thing.'Ethan frowned as he turned to Andrew.'What's inconspicuous?'Ryan gave a mild chuckle. 'I didn't think you'd know.'Ethan looked up at him angrily. 'What?! I dare you to come down and repeat that!' he demanded angrily as he looked up at Ryan perched on a branch of the tree.'Oh shush Ethan!' Suzanne hit his head.He groaned and moved away from her, protesting as he went. 'You did hear what he said, didn't you?' he defended himself.Suzanne crossed her arms across her chest. 'He has his reasons,' she offered as she sided with Ryan.Ethan frowned deeply at her.Ryan soon lost interest in bo
