Alexios
"Hermes said the new occupant at the Millers has a daughter." The Alpha began as he watched his son who busied himself with breakfast. "She is registered in your school." He added. The school was originally founded by the werewolves for their kids to study, but as human civilization kept on developing, they didn't only discover the school, but they built homes so close to them too. The Werewolf community but to learn to live with humans while hiding their true form. Alexios pack is the largest pack, but not the strongest. His ancestors had made a community for themselves. With several buildings given out for rent, they had many humans living in their community. Of course, The werewolves lived separately from humans, some estate was built just for the Werewolves, and those who does not intend to live in an estate had their homes built closer to the forest for easy access to go for a run. To the humans, Alexios father is just a mayor to them. The Millers had lived here for so many years until the old man died. After his burial, his children put the house up for sale and left with their old mother. "I don't think we need to bother about them. I checked with a friend and he was truly promoted here for work." The Luna joined in. Of course, some of those humans were smart. They had their suspicion about their identity and they keep looking for ways to come and pry in on them. They always were able to fish them out and think of a good strategy to send them away. Having to live with clueless humans was much more relaxing than living with curious ones. "It won't hurt to be sure. This might be a trick to get us off their back. Watch out for their daughter and let me know if she does anything suspicious at all." The Alpha commanded, and Alexios nodded. He had been enjoying his bacon, cheese and egg to concern himself with his parent's discussion. "Are you done?" Alexios asked Ophelia who was currently cleaning her mouth with a tissue. Nodding, she grabbed her bag before running to hug her father. "I am leaving now daddy." The Alpha nodded, a genuine smile gracing his face. His princess had always been his biggest pride. "Alright beautiful. Make sure you have a great day, and stay away from trouble." Alexios eyes rolled, who would dare to cause her trouble. Although she was still young and not yet at the age where she gets to meet her wolf, Ophelia can easily take care of any human who dares to cause trouble for her, and as for the werewolves in their school, they must be tired of having their head resting on top of their neck to hurt his sister! "Goodbye mom." Alexios leaned down to kiss his mom's cheeks, ignoring his father's glare, he led his sister outside. "Hey cutie." Alexios low growl had Owen grinning. It didn't matter how many times they had done this, but Alexios never changes. "Good morning." Ophelia waved at the boys as she ran into the car. This had the boys chuckling. "I will be riding with you today." Caius told Alexios as he went into the car and waited for Alexios to join them. "Should we all just head to school together?" Owen asked and Alexios nodded. "Come on then." Alexios motioned to his friends. He didn't see why they all couldn't just go in the same car. The seat was just perfect for them. Caius seeing the other two joining him at the back sit grinned widely. "We can go to school riding different cars daily. Tomorrow we can ride mine, then the next Owen's, then Wyatt's." Owen scoffed. "Are all footballers this lazy or is it just you? So we go to school just four times a week?" He questioned. "Of course not! Most of my important matches would be Friday's. We can play paper, rock, and scissors to determine whose car we use on Friday." He told them while staring at Owen. "Except of course, your whorish self decides to use your car to pick up girls." In their group, Owen is the most popular with the ladies. There is hardly any girl in their school whose name he doesn't know or whose contact he does not have. "Shut up, Ophelia is with us." Wyatt reprimanded as Ophelia blushed scarlet. Although Owen is the one who always flirts with her, but Wyatt is the only one who makes her blush, and Wyatt does it so naturally without having to try too hard. "We have a new girl joining the school, I need you all to keep an eye on her, especially you Owen. Do your thing." Alexios had never bothered with any female as he wishes to wait for his destined mate. Hence, why he is nicknamed the cold prince. It is rumored that he does not smile or glance at anyone other than his friends and sister. His aura didn't help either, as the next Alpha, his aura has always been intimidating to all the humans in his school. They never dared to approach this group of boys, Caius was at least easier to approach since he was a part of the football team. And as for Owen, he approaches the ladies himself. Whenever Caius's teammates sees him with his group of friends, they would always try to talk with him. They assumed if the others knew they were familiar with him, that would make them ease up a little but alas, they would would just nod to acknowledge their presence then ignore them. And Owen, who is known to be the most approachable among them only seems to be that way with the ladies. And even at that, some of the ladies often times say they felt their skin turning cold whenever he gets upset. "Oh, is she pretty?" Owen grinned as he asked this.Skylar's POV Two days ago my only friend left and ever since I haven't been able to reach either her or her mom. And today, as I walk to the cafeteria, I forced myself to not cry. I am back to being the loner, I am not boring, and I am not a bad person either, but weirdly enough, people seem to stay away from me. They seem to be uninterested in getting to know me. When Sophia had first resumed, seeing her wear that big sweater and being fidgety, I had approached her, and God when I saw her, I had thought she would be a bitch and walk away. She had both the face and the body to compare with the school hottest girl and she would have most likely won, yet that girl prefers to hide behind a big sweater. I wanted to unravel her, and when her relationship with Alex got serious, well she started loosening up. I was happy to see her happy, that in love. "Skylar, wait up. Hi." Caius called and I turned to see them all walking over. Since the tension, we are only seeing today for the
"Sophia." Skylar's sleepy voice called as she sat up."Oh Sophy, don't cry anymore please." She pleaded as she tried to wrap me in a hug. "Your dad will hate to see you like this."I showed her the pictures and her face showed immense anger. "This has to be photoshopped. He hates being this close to other ladies that isn't you." She said as she glared at the pictures."There is only one way to find out, I am going to him." I told her as I stood up and looked for something decent but casual to wear. Since he is not picking up my calls, then I will head over to his place."But it is risky out there Sophy." I know that, I knew that but I needed to go confirm this myself. Was he really going to be engaged to that lady soon? Why? Is he being forced into it? Was that what had bothered him all through his stay with me last night?Skylar heaved a sigh and got up, she insisted on following me. I knew if I went out through the main door, I would be stopped, so I climbed down my window after pic
"Dad you have got to stop talking, you need every bit of strength you can muster to fight this. And besides you are scaring me." I cried as I pleaded but his weak eyes just stared back at me. 'How can he still be trying to smile?'"Sweetheart, promise me you will leave here. It will hurt but you have to endure the pain and leave. When he is stronger, when he can protect you, or when and if you finally can meet that part of you you are yet to meet, then maybe you can come back of you are strong enough. I don't want you to become a pawn in the battle of strength. Please promise me." I cried even more hearing his plea."I promise dad, I promise." He nodded as he looked visibly relieved. Mom pushed the door as she walked in, her eyes red. 'Was she crying? What did the doctor tell her?' I stood silently as I couldn't bring myself to ask her questions and I just watched her walked over and held dad's hands."You are so cruel." She told him and dad chuckled weakly."I am glad I get to live
"I need to see my dad. I have to see him." I pleaded wanting to leave his hold but Owen's strength was one I couldn't pull out of."You will have to wait until your mom is out." The nurse said in what she most likely thinks is a comforting voice."Come with me sweetheart, you will need to wear some special clothing before you can go in there." Mom who had been inside said. Her eyes were red, she has obviously been crying. "While you are with your dad, I will go talk to the doctor." I nodded ."How is he mom?" I asked her crying. "I don't know. Hence why I need to go talk to a doctor." Mom's voice was breaking which only added to my fear. 'How could a wolf attack him? He didn't go to a jungle, he was dri ing home to us! What happened?' I had so many questions with no one to answer them. I was given some sort of a disposable jumpsuit to wear and some disposable cap to use. After dressing up, the staff led me back to dad's ward, while mom went looking for the doctor.Owen was still th
I woke up to an empty bed, 'Where is he?' I wondered as I listened thinking maybe he was in the bathroom, but no matter how long I listened, there was no sound coming out from the bathroom.I stepped out of the room and found mom eating an apple. "Good morning mom." I greeted her with a smile."Good morning princess. How was your night?" She asked winking and I blushed."Good mom, it was good." Looking around, "Mom where is Alexios?" I asked her."He left quite early this morning, he said something came up and he needed to go. He had asked me to tell you as he didn't want to wake you up." I nodded biting my lips.'Hopefully everything is alright with him.' I knew there was more to what he had told me last night, but since he wasn't willing to share much, I decided to trust and wait for him."What is for breakfast?" I asked walking into the kitchen."Cereals." I hummed as I went to pour some for myself. "Your dad will be back later today." Mom informed me and I grinned. 'I have missed
Sophia's POV"So?" Although Alexios asked, I felt like he already knew the answer. The small smile playing on his lips, and the mischievousness of his gaze made me curious."Did you hear I and mom's talk?" I asked him. The possibility of him learning us is low, I had left him in the living room and moreover, when I went into mom's room, I had shut the door after myself."Why? Was I meant to hear something?" He is lying. Alexios is an awful liar. When he lies, he avoids eye contact, he would always looks anywhere else but at me, at my eyes, and he tends to stammer a little when he lies.I decided to ignore it, as calling him out on his lie would only further embarrass me since I know he was eavesdropping on our embarrassing conversation. 'Mom really needs to stop.' I thought to myself as I bit my lips.Pushing the embarrassment to the back of my mind, I went forward and held his hand as we both walked to my room. "I doubt I have a suitable pajamas here that you can use." I spoke as
