Alexios POV
"Hermes said the new occupant at the Millers has a daughter." The Alpha began as he watched his son who busied himself with breakfast. "She is registered in your school." He added. The school was originally founded by the werewolves for their kids to study, but as human civilization kept on developing, they didn't only discover the school, but they built homes so close to them too. The Werewolf community then had no choice but to buy a vast land enough for them to run in when in their wolf form. It is a restricted area for humans to go into.To also avoid them questioning why others could go in there, each pack decided to build homes. The pack with lesser members made their pack look like an estate, while some packs allowed humans to live among them, of course with rules, some stricter packs do not let in anyone who is not a member.Alexios pack is the largest pack. Instead of just an estate, his grandfather had made a community for himself. With several buildings given out for rent, they had many humans living in their community. Of course, The werewolves lived separately from humans, some estate was built just for the Werewolves, and those who does not intend to live in an estate had their homes built closer to the forest for easy access to go for a run.To the humans, Alexios father is a mayor to them. The Millers had lived here for so many years until the old man died. After his burial, his children put the house up for sale and left with their old mother."I don't think we need to bother about them. I checked with a friend and he was truly promoted here for work." The Luna joined in. Of course, some of those humans were smart. They had their suspicion about their identity and they keep looking for ways to come and pry in on them. They always were able to fish them out and think of a good strategy to send them away.Having to live with clueless humans was much more relaxing than living with curious ones."It won't hurt to be sure. This might be a trick to get us off their back. Watch out for their daughter and let me know if she does anything suspicious at all." The Alpha commanded, and Alexios nodded. He had been enjoying his bacon, cheese and egg to not concern himself with his parent's discussion."Are you done?" Alexios asked Ophelia who was currently cleaning her mouth with a tissue.Nodding, she grabbed her bag before running to hug her father. "I am leaving now daddy." The Alpha nodded, a genuine smile gracing his face. His princess had always been his biggest pride."Alright beautiful. Make sure you have a great day, and stay away from trouble." Alexios eyes rolled, who would dare to cause her trouble. Although she was still young and not yet at the age where she gets to meet her wolf, Ophelia can easily take care of any human who dares to cause trouble for her, and as for the werewolves in their school, they must be tired of having their head resting on top of their neck to hurt his sister!"Goodbye mom." Alexios leaned down to kiss his mom's cheeks, ignoring his father's glare, he led his sister outside."Hey cutie." Alexios low growl had Owen grinning. It didn't matter how many times they had done this, but Alexios never changes."Good morning." Ophelia waved at the boys as she ran into the car. This had the boys chuckling."I will be riding with you today." Caius told Alexios as he went into the car and waited for Alexios to join them."Should we all just head to school together?" He asked and Owen nodded excitedly."Come on then." Alexios didn't see why they all couldn't just go in the same car. The seat was just perfect for them.Caius seeing the other two joining him at the back sit grinned widely."We can go to school riding different cars daily. Tomorrow we can ride mine, then the next Owen's, then Wyatt's." Owen scoffed."Are all footballers this lazy or is it just you? So we go to school just four times a week?" He questioned."Of course not! Most of my important matches would be Friday's. We can play paper, rock, and scissors to determine whose car we use on Friday." He told them while staring at Owen. "Except of course, your whorish self decides to use your car to pick up girls." In their group, Owen is the most popular with ladies. There is hardly any girl in their school whose name he doesn't know or whose contact he does not have."Shut up, Ophelia is with us." Wyatt reprimanded as Ophelia blushed scarlet. Owen might be the one who always flirts with her, and he probably should be the one who makes her blush and shy, but Wyatt does those without having to try too hard."We have a new girl joining the school, I need you to keep an eye on her Owen. Do your thing." Alexios had never bothered with any female as he wishes to wait for his destined mate. Hence, why he is nicknamed the cold prince. It is said he does not smile or glance at anyone other than his friends and sister. His aura didn't help either, as the next Alpha, his aura has always been intimidating to all the humans in his school. They never dared to approach this group of boys, Caius was better since he was a part of the football team. His teammates will always try to talk with him especially when he is around his gang. They thought if the others knew they were familiar with him, they would ease up a little but alas, it seemed like they didn't even notice their presence at all. And Owen, who is known to be the most approachable among them only seems to be that way with the ladies. And even at that, the ladies often times feel their skin turning cold in his presence."Oh, is she pretty?" Owen grinned as he asked this."I don't know." He didn't ask his father for a picture. As far as he knows, she should be the only new student joining them."Bye!" Ophelia waved as she ran towards her friends."Coffee?" Alexios asked. They were not one to go to school early so they decided to while away time at a coffee shop. The only reason why Alexios wakes up early is to bring Ophelia who cannot wait to be with her friends to school."We should get going." Wyatt told them looking at his wristwatch. They all exited the coffee shop and went to school, the closer they got to class, the more agitated Alexios got. "Are you good man?" His friends surrounded him, their eyes scanning him with concern."Erskine is acting up." Alexios told them as he turned around and ran toward the back of the school. The friends were right behind him as they all shred their uniforms and ran among nature in their beast form. After what seemed like hours but only a few minutes, Alexios stopped and changed back to his human form.Caius looked around the bush and found uniform spares, for situations where a wolf needed a quick run to ease their tension, the pack made provision for several uniforms and clothing in the forest."Are you better now?" Wyatt asked concerned. They had all ran to their satisfaction yesterday and Erskine wasn't the type to act up without reason."I think she was close." Alexios told his friends, his heart beating faster and he felt nervous. And he doesn't feel nervous until now that is."By she, you mean?" Owen asked his mouth opened and eyes budged.Alexios nodded. He had heard it clearly "Mate"His wolf had called out to her."Then what are we doing here. Let's go meet her. I am curious about her." Owen was the most excited as his job as the next pack Gamma is to serve the Luna as her left-hand man. While she has her mate as her right-hand man, the Gamma is the one the Luna should be able to confide in the most. The one who takes the Luna's safety as top priority."I think she is the one he asked you to do your thing with." Wyatt told Owen."I wouldn't dare. If she is your mate, I wouldn't dare, I will do my duty and stay next to her but that will be all." Owen went on one knee as he made the promise."I know. Stand up and stop being dramatic." Alexios wasn't in the mood for his drama. He felt more conflicted, his mate is human. There have been many cases where werewolves get mated to humans, and some had ended tragically. What if she rejects me? What if she gets scared because of what I am? What if she also... She also kills herself to stop feeling what she feels? Many what ifs filled his head as he realized he was worrying over something and someone he hasn't even seen yet."We should go in." Wyatt told them again and this time, they ran back to the school compound in their human form without breaking a sweat."Good luck." They all wished him as they pushed the class door opened and walked in. Alexios couldn't see any other thing except for the lady whose head was lowered denying him the chance to see those lovely eyes of hers. Those eyes that had met with his for a split second."Mate" His wolf had called out. Alexios gulped as Caius poked him from behind to walk forward. With heavy legs, he forced himself to not run over to her. His breathing which had turned uneven was noticed by all the werewolves in class. The Geography teacher who had watched the young Alpha's reaction, looked towards the lady he had fun teasing earlier. Humans were fun to tease and he especially liked seeing the embarrassing look on them when he stares openly at them. So she is our Luna?!Sophia's POV I hadn't expected our gaze to meet. The way his eyes had stayed on me felt weird and it made me want to go closer to him. The strange feeling had me looking away as I looked down. 'He is good looking so what?! Ok maybe more good looking than the regular good looking I know but that shouldn't make me this way right?' I bit my lips while clenching my fist. The strong urge to look at him, to watch him scared me. This is not normal!!!"I feel you girl." Skylar spoke grinning. "Let's concentrate." Ok why am I angry? Why do I hate the fact that she is just as attracted to him as I am? Why is the class not over yet?!"So I see we have a new student, could you come up here and introduce yourself?" Sophia tensed hearing the teacher's words. She felt like crying. Not only is her head and body acting weird, this man just had to bring her out to become everyone's focus. She could feel everyone's gaze on her as she walked to the front. 'It will be over soon.' She kept on chanting th
"Really, What a coincidence." Owen's innocent smile would never make one suspect him. "Would you like to sit with us then? I really love your company." He asked with such clear eyes and a beautiful smile that Sophia found herself nodding."Great!" Owen grinned before walking away."Oh my God! What just happened?" Skyler asked her eyes widely opened. Unfortunately, she does not have a Biology class with Sophia."I don't know." Sophia whispered as she bit her lower lips. This morning when she woke up, she planned to be as invincible as the word can get, but here she is, getting attracted to a boy who is a part of the school most popular group. Not only is her heart and body acting weird, but she is also even agreeing to sit with them in a class! 'What a mess.' She regretted her head which had moved without letting her brain process and think of all the cons involved with her sitting with them."I know I said I am rooting for you to be the first girl in their click, but girl, I like you a
Alexis POV "Hi dad." When he had summoned me to his office, I had an idea of what he might be curious about."How was school today?" I nodded as I fought the urge to smile. The thought of my mate being in the same school as me had me smiling all day. She unfortunately can not feel the bond between us, or maybe she felt it can and she just couldn't understand what it was. "Fine, but kinda frustrating." I confessed. It was a torturous and frustrating day, having watched Owen achieve becoming her friend had me jealous. I should have been the one getting close to her. But then, I feared I might not be able to control Erskine so this had me holding back from wanting to be too close. The enticing scent coming off from her had me drunk, I wanted nothing but to put my nose in her body and sniff her in. "Frustrating? Never thought you knew that word son." Dad teased as he stared at me. It was obvious he was concerned."Why am I here?" I asked."What is your opinion of the human girl? Do you
"You are sure nothing is going on in there that you want to talk to me about?" Dad asked again as he glanced towards the school.Chuckling, "Nothing dad, I promise." It is just I panicking because my heart wants to reach out to another, it is no big deal."Alright then dynamite, you go have an amazing day okay." "Okay." I waved before entering the school gate. Today might end up being an awkward one for me. Dad had called the school over the weekend to ask them to change my class schedule as the schedule was too stressful for me to keep up. I am going to pick my new schedule today and this change might not go well with Owen and the others.I scanned the crowd for Skylar's red hair but couldn't find her. 'Is she late today or did she come early?' We normally would meet here every day. Shrugging, I walked into the building and went towards her locker area."... bitch!" I watched as Vivian, one of the ladies who would always glare at me poke Skylar causing her to stagger back. Just ho
Sophia's POV "Sophia hi." Owen greeted us as he joined us at our desk for lunch. "Skylar." Skylar waved at him acknowledging his presence. "Hi Owen." I smiled awkwardly. Earlier when I had a class with them, I had purposely forced myself to not look toward their way as I found myself a new place to sit. "I really want to be upset with you right now, but I can't even bring myself to do that." Owen complained. "I am sorry." I apologized. I know I probably owed them an explanation but I can't even think of a good excuse to tell them. I can't possibly tell him I left because of my unusual crush on his friend.I spent the whole weekend researching and googling about my symptoms, I find it weird to call my feelings love since it had occurred from the very first time I laid eyes on him. "Did we do anything wrong?" Owen asked and I shook my head. They were all kind to me. "Then why did you request for a change in your timetable? If it wasn't us, was it anyone in those classes that made yo
Sophia's POV "So, do you want to hang out with us this weekend?" Owen asked and I shrugged nodding. It won't hurt to meet them outside of school and get to know them better."This weekend? What day are you thinking?" Skylar asked."Tomorrow will be the best, that way we can do our homework and prepare for school on Sunday," Owen replied. Indeed, Saturday will be the best time to just have fun."I can't make it then. My aunt gave birth and I promised to visit her tomorrow." She looked apologetic. 'I guess I will be the only girl there then.' The thought sort of frightened me but at the same time, it was exciting. Being the only female in their midst, they will most likely treat me like a princess. It won't hurt to be spoiled a bit."We won't miss you." Owen told her chuckling. "Oh shut up." Skylar glared at him."What time tomorrow are you thinking?" I asked and he shrugged."I will text you the time and location." I nodded as I tried to calm my giddy heart. Although the other boys
Sophia's POV "Mom, where is dad?" It is the weekend already, and he normally likes waking up early to help with some of the chores around the house. Not seeing him now is a bit strange."He went to the mechanic. His car needs fixing." I nodded before going to help her knead the flour. "So, are you excited for your date today?" Mom questioned and I shrugged. She might have said it is okay to feel what I am feeling, but it still is a bit strange to talk to my mom about liking a boy. "Do you feel unsure of whether you want to go?" She asked again, her voice laced with concern."No mom, I am certain I want to go." I quickly answered before she got the wrong idea."You are excited then." She chuckled as she pulled out the turkey from the oven."I guess." I murmured but I am certain she heard me."Do you now know where you will be meeting them and what time?" I nodded. Owen sent the details last night."I will be meeting them at a bookshop close to school, I should be leaving in an hour or
Sophia's POV He grinned!!! "Come with me. Just trust me alright." That alluring tone of his had me wanting to nod and follow him into the pit of hell. Blinking away the unholy thoughts trying to invade my head, I slowly walked behind him until we got to his car. I hadn't expected him to hold the door open for me."Thank you." Never has anyone, well except my dad of course, held a car door open for me, and him doing this had me blushing. A blush I hope he doesn't notice."Do you like games?" The question was unexpected but I still nodded."You sure like to nod Sophia. Words please." I couldn't be sure whether he was being humored or he is being serious. All I know was I loved the way he called my name. "Yes, I like games." He smiled glancing in my direction. My heart skipped. 'What is he doing to me?' "There is this game center I know of, you can play any type of game you want. Cards, blocks, pinball, video games. My favorite is the arcade games. Do you know how to play?" I chuckle
