16: EXILED

As I stood before the Council, the weight of their judgment bore down upon me like a heavyweight imposing itself on my entire being. I felt as though the very fabric of my world was opening and revealing itself before my eyes.

The tension in the chamber was easily noticed, filling up every space as people discussed my actions and what they thought I did or not while the Elders deliberated my fate in a very deliberate and slow way. The intent was to create fear.

My heart pounded in my chest, and the steady drumming of fear and uncertainty was echoing in my ears as I waited with short breaths for their decision. Beside me, my mother stood with tears streaming down her cheeks, her eyes filled with a mixture of despair and contempt.

And then, with a sown nod from the head of the council, the Supreme Elder, gave a sign that the judgment was to be delivered.
