Partying With The Populars

"We're going to go shower and head to Jake's party later tonight," Emma says as she turns towards me with an accusing stare

"If we get pranked again, you're kicked off the squad" she says

"Why? She's the best thing that's happened to it in three years" I hear Easton say from behind  causing Emma to straighten up and curl a smelly yellow strand of her hair around her finger

"Of course She is, I was just joking. Duh" she says while giggling and putting all her attention on him

He turns to me and smiles, but immediately frowns when he sees my scared expression

"Are you okay?" He asks as he goes to put his hand on my shoulder, but I flinch away causing Stella to step in

"Don't worry Easton, I'll take care of her" she says as she grabs my arm and walks me away from them and towards my car

"Are you okay?" She asks causing me to cry again

"No" I say as I wipe my tears and hand her my keys so she can drive

"What's wrong?" She asks as she hugs me

"I broke your brother's heart, I got you kicked off the squad, and now the whole squad hates me because they think the prank was caused by me" I say as we pull apart and she wipes my tears

"Easton loves you, I only joined the squad because of you, and those cheerleaders got what was coming to them" she says causing me to laugh as we get into the car, but I suddenly stop when I realize something

"Wait, Easton loves me?" I ask her in shock

"Yeah, isn't it obvious" she says with a laugh

"I was against it at first, but it slowly grew on me" she says which makes me smile

"Thanks Stella, but I don't think we're going to work out. He wants nothing to do with me and I understand that" I say as she pulls up in the driveway of her house before she turns to me

"Tell me this," she says as she takes off her seatbelt "if he wants nothing to do with you, then why did he save you from the prank on the other cheerleaders?" She says ending with a smile then gets out of the car and leaves me on the passenger side confused.

He said it was to repay a favor, but I don't know how much I believe that.

I eventually get out of the car and walk inside the house and towards Stella's room.

I enter her room and see that she has laid out a dress on her bed "please tell me that dress is for you" I say since I'm not even in the mood to party, much less wear a dress

"Yes it is" she says as she comes out of her closet and frowns at my sad expression on my face

"What's wrong? I feel like this isn't just about what Emma said anymore" she says as she looks me in the eyes, but I turn away

"If I tell you, you're going to hate me" I say as I sit on the corner of her bed

"I can't hate you unless you tell me" she jokes which makes me laugh

"If I loved your brother back, Would you be mad?" I ask a little scared for her reaction

When I haven't heard her say anything, I look up and see her smiling down at me

"What?" I ask in confusion

"You guys have each other wrapped around each other's finger and don't even know it" she says with a smile before she walks into her closet and grabs a pair of distressed shorts and a lace top.

"Wear this, it'll make your eyes pop" she says with a genuine smile causing me to smile back "Thanks" I say as I take the clothes from her.

"Are you ready?" Stella asks as we park beside the road in front of Jake's house.

"Yeah" I say after I take a deep calming breath.

We get out of the car and walk up towards the door getting "hey's" and "hello's" thrown at us from all directions.

As soon as we get inside the house there's loud EDM music blasting from the living room and some people are stumbling around everywhere causing me to have to dodge some of them.

"Do you want a drink?" Stella ask when we finally enter the kitchen

"No, I'll just have water" I say as I scan the area and see people dry humping each other and others making out

"Here's a cup" she says as she grabs two cups from the package and hands me one, I go to the sink to fill my cup with water while she goes to the table to fill her's with beer.

"Hey, you came" Jake says as he sees me making me laugh at his drunken state

"Hey, are you okay?" I ask as I see him sway like he's one with the ocean

"Yep, I'm all good" he says as he leans into the counter

"I'm going to go find Stella, I don't want her to make irrational decisions" I say with a smile as I depart from him and make my way into the living room where I see her dancing

I make my way towards her but I keep having to dodge people.

I almost reach Stella when I'm suddenly knocked into, hard might I add, and I end up dropping my drink all over the floor and landing on Easton's lap causing him to turn to me and smile while laughing slightly while I stare wide eyed at him

"I'm sorry- I uh- bye" I say as I quickly get up only to be pushed down by another stumbling drunk person, but this time I lock lips with Easton.

I pull away quickly and run outside so that he won't see my reaction.

I was blushing like crazy.

Why were so many people stumbling already, the party just began.

His lips were so soft. They tasted like vanilla and mint. My lips are still tingling. I probably embarrassed myself.

"Amelia, what's wrong?" Stella ask as she comes out of the house looking the least drunk of a lot of people there

"I need to go home. I'll call you tomorrow" I say as I go to walk away, but she grabs my arm and stops me

"Why don't you just stay the night at my house, you look sickly pale" she says as she observes me

"I don't really think that's a good idea" I say as I shake my head no

"Nonsense, I'll get Easton to drive us" she says as she pulls me back into the house causing me to look down at my feet in embarrassment.

"Hey, East. Can you drive us to our house?" Stella asks him

"Yeah, of course" he says as he quickly gets off the couch and leads us through the house and out towards my car.

Did he not drive himself here?

I hand him my keys and go to sit in the back seat, but Stella locks the door and points to the passenger seat making me inwardly groan as I walk around the car and settle into the passenger seat.

As we all drive in silence I look out of the window so I won't embarrass myself any further than I already have.

As we pull into their driveway Stella is quick to jump out of the car and run into the house while Easton backs out of the driveway which confuses me.

"Where are we going?" I ask with panic in my eyes as my heart rate excelerates

"We need to talk" is all he says as he continues to drive.
