I don't know what had gotten into me, but I let him pull me into the corner. I was taken back by that action and honestly nothing came to my mind because it was loaded and full because of what happened earlier.
We were in the underground parking lot when I came back to my senses again.
"Let go of me!" I hysterically shouted and took a step back. "I--- I wasn't in my right mind. I'm sorry," I said, because I felt guilty for my protector. He saved me from that bullshit situation, so I think that it's just right to feel this way.
"Well, miss, we have a lot of things to talk about," he said and looked at his secretary. He is also a well dressed and uptight man with glasses.
"What time is it?" he asked him.
"It's 8pm already Sir," the secretary answered. after looking at his watch, "It's time for you to go see your grandfather, Boss,"
"I know," he said and grabbed my wrist, "Let's go now---"
"NO! You might have saved me and I'm grateful for that, but I will not come to someone I don't know!" I said and bowed to him, "Thanks again and have a nice day!" It's good that I am still flexible just the way I was during college and I was able to get off the hook again when I bumped into a large creatures--- I mean the men in black suits with sturdy body, shades and earpiece!
"Ouch!" I said and massaged my forehead. I looked back only to see him with his crossed arms and looking at me like a weird woman. The secretary scoffed off and he looked like he smiled at me.
"Are they your men? Why are they blocking my path?" I asked him with a straight tone because I didn't understand him. He smirked at me and walked towards me.
"You think you'll be able to escape me again?" he asked with a cold voice, "Your debt to me kept piling up. I wouldn't recommend you do anything again," he told me and I gasped.
"Debt? I don't have any debt to anyone!" I rolled my eyes, "How much do you need to save me? Just name your price!" I said and crossed my arms in front of my chest too.
The tough guys earlier seemed uneasy, and I can even hear the secretary stopping his laugh.
"What's so funny?!" I asked them and gritted my teeth. "I don't like this situation. I'll just call my mother and you can talk to them---" I was cut off when he grabbed my phone.
"No phone," he said, "Don't you really know me?" he asked, and I rolled my eyes in frustration again. Really, this man is getting on my nerves!
"Why do you think I would ask if I weren't?" I asked him and looked at him more intensely. But as I looked into his facial features, something struck him that made me shiver!
He was the same man who saved me in the bar, but I ended up throwing up at him! Moreover, I ran away from that mansion without even saying goodbye! Wait, who in their right mind would say goodbye back then, huh?!
The secretary was about to say something when he raised his hand to tell him to stay quiet.
"The man you threw back into the bar, do you remember?" I swear I can see those flames behind his eyes, and his smile is sinister.
"I---I..." I stuttered, not knowing what to say in that situation...
"Do you remember now?" he asked and smiled at me. I took a step backwards and was wondering what I should do at that point. I looked around. Do I take a run for it? Nah, I was caught earlier. Should I shout and call for help? But there was no one in the parking lot besides me and his men.
"N-no..." I stuttered again and tried to find myself out of this, "I mean, I'm sorry for that. I promise not to do it again! What do you want, compensation or something? I will give it to you!" I stressed out and bit my lips.
I knew it! I'm going to be roasted alive by this man if I am not careful. Damn it! I want to go home now...
He chuckled when I mentioned compensation again.
"Haha... Hahahaha..." I tried my best to laugh with him, even though my eyes were like bees had swarmed towards them. The Secretary bit his lips, stopping himself from saying anything.
"You really are clueless, aren't you?" he asked and looked at me with a serious expression. Those green eyes again! It was so beautiful and magical that you will be drawn to it once you have seen it!
"Well, I---" I stopped when the reporters arrived in the parking lot.
"There she is! Go after her!" there was so much commotion and I swear I wanted to smack those reporters out of their faces.
"Let's go," he said again, and so his body guards had stopped them from coming to us. Flashes of cameras light up the place, and I think this will count as a debt again to him!
We entered the car and the first thing he did was to get an ipad from the drawer. There is a fucking drawer inside the car! His secretary sat on the front seat, and there was a driver.
But if he had just let me go back then, I could go back to my car and left quietly. I sighed. I looked around the car. It was not ordinary, but it wasn't luxurious either. But this is a personalized Rolls-Royce! Oh my gosh! And I offered him such compensation?
I'm sure he would ask me for millions. What the hell am I thinking?
"Where are we going anyway?" I asked him and gulped, he looked at me after he typed something on the iPad.
"The Ivory Tower,"
"What?!"
I don't know how I was able but my hand automatically move on its own and landed on his cheeks. Mikhael was dumbfounded, while I was breathing heavily."What...?" he asked, "Sarah, what the hell!" He said as if he didn't expect that at all."Bastard!" I then pointed my finger on him, "How thick face can you be to say that!" I gritted my teeth and tears started rolling down my cheeks."Sarah, listen to me please..." he held my hand tenderly which I immediately grabbed away."Fuck off or I'll call the police!" I said and fine something sharp to make him go away. "Please, Sarah, that's dangerous!" he pleaded. "Get the fuck out of my house, Mikhael!""Sarah!""Get out!" he wasn't able to do anything and I locked the door while I'm holding my hands against my chest. I breathed heavily and was looking for words. It seems that they already know my location."Damn it, damn it!" I panicked and start packing my clothes. I looked on the window and saw that Mikhael was still there. Luckily, I s
"What are you doing here?" is the first thing that I asked. My forehead autotically crease because of the man that has been standing before me. His eyes automatically wonder in my tummy."So it's true," he said with a bitter tone."You know if you have nothing good to say, you need to go because I have no time for you---" I was about to close the door when he had stopped me."W-wait, Diana!" Mikhael told me with and stopped me from closing the door."What?" I asked irritatedly.Ï need to talk to you, please," he told me and looked at me straight in the eyes, "Please," I looked at him for a few moments before sighing."Fine," I opened the door, "Welcome to my house, and don't judge!" I told him because it was just a small house and not his typical big house. He has been living in mansions that this townhouse is just like his room. But contrary to my expectation, he smiled at me.Ï brought you fruits," I frowned at his response. Mikhael, on his exact opposite has told me that so it was
The scene of what Isabella did to me kept crawling under my skin countless times. As much as I wanted to take revenge on her, I couldn't help but think about the child growing inside me. Because of that, there were many things I had to postpone, but that didn't mean it would end there."How is Percival doing?" Aaron asked me. I had decided on the baby's name while walking along the shore one day, and the news had spread quickly since the island was small and the community was closely knit."He's doing well," I replied, smiling at him. He had brought me sweet mangoes from their farm once again. "Thank you for the mangoes.""All for you," he said, and I still couldn't quite get used to his constant attentiveness.Tonight was the festival, and though I hadn't agreed to be his partner yet, I had decided to attend. They said there would be plenty of food to enjoy."Let's go, Ariakne!" Marina, one of my staff members, called out. She had long wavy hair and dark skin, radiating a natural bea
Diana, being the only heiress of the Balmorris, has been the center of attention. Many wanted her, but that night Mikhael felt an extreme inferiority towards her.Mikhael's thoughts were interrupted as he felt the weight of someone's gaze upon him. He turned to see a woman standing nearby, her eyes fixed on him with a sly smile playing on her lips, demanding his attention."Hey handsome," she purred, her voice laced with a hint of seduction. Mikhael's initial irritation was momentarily replaced by a flicker of curiosity. Who was this woman, and why was she singling him out?He glanced around, half expecting her to be addressing someone else, but soon realized that she was indeed talking to him."Are you talking to me?"The woman took a step closer, closing the distance between them. Her eyes gleamed with a mixture of mischief and desire."I couldn't help but notice you," she said, her voice carrying a teasing undertone. "You have company tonight?"Mikhael's forehead knotted. He is her
"Where the hell is Diana?!" Raphael lashed out, throwing things onto the floor in a fit of anger. "You're telling me she vanished from the hospital and none of the CCTV cameras caught her leaving?" "W-We're sorry—" one of his men was about to say something, but Raphael cut him off by grabbing his collar tightly."What about her family?" he asked, "What were they doing when this happened?" He couldn't fathom why he was reacting so intensely. Was it because he felt guilty because it was his fault that she had been kidnapped, leading to her suffering severe injuries?"Find every possible route and hold the hospital accountable!" Raphael gritted his teeth, "Find my wife!" Without another word, he abruptly grabbed his coat and stormed out of the room. The men could only bow their heads in submission as he made his way out.Raphael was the epitome of power. His mere presence was enough to make anyone tremble in fear. He got into his car and pressed the key, driving it towards the Balmorris
Diana blinked her eyes open, her vision blurry at first. As her surroundings slowly came into focus, she saw the figures of Raphael and Mikhael standing nearby, their faces etched with worry and guilt."What the hell did you say?!" Raphael wasn't able to control his anger and grabbed Mikhael's collar in which he fought off."I said that it's your fault that Diana is in that situation!""Argh..." Diana slowly opened her eyes.Their argument had abruptly halted, replaced by a shared concern for her well-being."How are you feeling, Diana?" Mikhael asked, his voice filled with genuine concern.Raphael echoed the sentiment, his eyes searching her face for any signs of distress. "You're awake."Diana's gaze shifted from one man to the other, her expression filled with a mix of confusion, anger, and pain. She couldn't bear to see them together, a constant reminder of the tangled web of emotions and betrayal she had endured."I don't want to see either of you right now," she whispered, her v
"What doesn't kill you makes you strong..." that has echoed in Diana's mind as she braced herself for another hit on her back. "Ugh!" and she had spitted blood right now. Her insides feel so much anger and hatred.'I need to survive to strangle that woman myself!' it was just willpower that keeps her alive.Diana's vision blurred as the pain intensified, her body battered and broken from the relentless assault. She could feel her strength waning, but her determination to survive burned fiercely within her. Each blow inflicted upon her only fueled her anger, transforming it into a fierce resolve to overcome this ordeal."Fuck you!" she said as her consciousness wavered on the precipice of darkness, a voice echoed through the chaos."Aha, you still have energy left?" and pulled her hair. "The master said we should hurt you taht you'd wish you're dead but we can't kill you but we can do this...""S...top it!" she said in slow voice a he slowly slit her neck but she won't die."Ahahahaha
The day had turned into a frantic search for Raphael. As soon as he returned home and discovered Diana's absence, panic surged through him like a raging storm. He felt a mix of anger, confusion, and fear coursing through his veins."She's not home yet?" he asked his servants. They are all wearing black and white suit, like chess pieces."Not yet, Sir,"Raphael's mind raced with possibilities of what could have happened. He searched the entire mansion, calling out Diana's name, but there was no sign of her. In a fit of frustration, he grabbed his phone and began dialing everyone he could think of who might have information about her whereabouts."Asked everyone where the hell is she!"One by one, his aide contacted Diana's friends, family, and even her coworkers, interrogating them with a desperate urgency. His voice was filled with anger and impatience as he demanded answers."Where is she? Did she say anything to you? Tell me, damn it!" Raphael's voice echoed through the phone, his f
It's been a week since Raphael had left for another business trip. Diana realized that he was rarely home."Will you come, madam?" the head maid asked her when she receive an invitation from Isabella. She had been serving Crownguard family for too long that she watched Raphael grew up, and so she knew Isabella."Yes," she smiled."We shall prepare the best dress for you, madam," they said with high spirits and worry."Thank you," Diana responded. In a luxurious yet dimly lit room, Isabella, draped in an elegant black gown, reclined on a plush velvet chair. A malevolent smile played on her lips as she awaited Diana's arrival. She had meticulously planned every detail of this encounter, knowing the vulnerability of the wounds she would expose. As Diana stepped into the room, her heart pounded in her chest. She felt a mixture of apprehension and defiance as she locked eyes with Isabella.'It's been a while since I attended a party like this...' she thought in her mind.Despite the tremor
