“Did you see the look on Emma’s face earlier? It’s epic!”

Ruby was in such a great mood. She kept talking and insulting Emma like it was the only thing she was born to do. And yet, her words didn’t register because my head was somewhere else.

Stuck on Emma’s stare.

Why the fuck did it bother me?

I should feel victorious. The goal was to hurt her, right? But instead, I felt… wrong. Off. I felt bothered and I didn’t understand why.

The feeling stayed even when we got to the office. Ruby trailed me like a dog. I wanted to be alone but didn’t have the energy to send Ruby away.

Big mistake.

“You know what…” Ruby whispered. She walked to the window and slowly closed the blinds. “I never expected you would support my scheme earlier. And because of that, you deserve a reward.”

She started unbuttoning her shirt and locked eyes on me. Her hand rested on my chest and leaned in.

Wait, is she trying to…

Her fingers slid down and tried to get inside my pants. I snapped.

EmmaThe strong smell of disinfectant reminded me that i was in the hospital. Thanks to a good Samaritan, I came out of that situation. She was the one who stopped the mob from hitting me and took me here to the hospital together with some men I think were her bodyguards. The lights above were too bright for me to avoid. But the bright lights were the least of my problems. It was my body that was aching all over. Every inch of my muscles was sore. But even through all the pain, all I could think about was one thing. My baby. Was the baby okay? I hope he does. That was all I cared about. The doctor stood at the foot of my bed. She was frowning looking at my chart. She crossed her arms and looked at me with disbelief."You should have run away," she scolded. "Why did you let yourself be hurt like this? Did you forget that you're pregnant? You can’t do this to yourself if you want to keep your baby."I bowed my head and refused to say anything. What could I say? That my husband denounce

AndrewRuby kept shouting lies, and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. She had the guts to stand there and say she was my wife. Right in front of Emma. Right in front of everyone.Of course, I was furious inside. Ruby was nothing but my secretary. Sure, I used her as a tool to hurt Emma in the past, like today. I arranged for Emma to be here and do Ruby’s work for her, just to see Ruby and me together. But that was it. Ruby and I weren’t an item. In fact, she was nothing but a good weapon against Emma. Nothing more, nothing less.Ruby tugged my arm. “Don’t just stand there. Let these people know the truth. Tell them I’m your wife, and I’m just protecting our marriage from this homewrecker.”I looked around. A small crowd had gathered. Some people were whispering. Others were holding up their phones and recording everything. No one knew who to believe. Of course, they wouldn’t, because most of them didn’t know us. Their eyes jumped from Ruby to Emma, trying to figure out who was ly

EmmaI had just finished talking to the event coordinator. We talked about the food tasting, and I asked if Andrew could come so he could help decide what to serve at the party. I sent him a quick text, asking what time he’d be free that day.His reply came almost right away:“Handle it yourself. I have an important appointment.”I stared at my phone for a moment then sighed. Of course. Always the same answer. I should’ve expected it by now.I used to feel sad or insecure with messages like this in the past, but now, I'm numb. In fact, I was grateful. This text would be added to my proof, and that was enough to lighten my mood. With that, I had no choice but to go alone. Even though the smell of certain foods made me sick lately because of my pregnancy, I still showed up on his behalf. I smiled and forced myself to swallow a few bites without gagging until the food tasting was done. I was exhausted. My feet hurt. My head felt heavy. And my only focus that day was to go home and rest.

EmmaI woke up worse. I felt…awful.Everything was spinning. My body felt too heavy to move. I settled for a few seconds before deciding to get up and hope that whatever I was feeling would pass. But it didn’t. The nausea became worse. The next thing I knew, I was jumping out of bed and into the bathroom.I dropped to my knees in front of the toilet and started taking a deep breath. Then, I just started puking. At first, I thought I’d feel better once I got it out. But the worst part? Nothing came out. Just dry, painful retching that made my throat burn. I slumped against the wall with shallow breaths. Beads of sweat formed on my forehead. My hands trembled. My whole body shook. Everything hurt. Everything felt off. And yet, I still smiled. Because all of this meant my baby was growing. They were proof that there was life inside me. And even if I had to throw up every single day for the next nine months, I’d take it. It would all be worth it.For my baby.I stood slowly, rinsed my

AndrewI stared deep into Emma’s eyes, searching. Of course I was suspicious. People don’t just change overnight. Her sudden shift felt unnatural.“Isn’t it obvious, Andrew? I am nothing without you. I can’t live outside this pack’s protection and have no one else in my life except you. Rebelling against you will only bring me more harm than good. Also, I was stupid to think that you would apologize to me.”Her words fed my pride. I felt victorious. Emma finally understood where she belonged. And she was right when she said she was nothing without me.I didn’t know what type of intervention she experienced these past few days, but I won’t argue with that. The important thing was that she was back to her regular submissive self who could not live without me.Of course Emma would stay. Being the Alpha’s wife came with privileges… wealth, power, influence, you name it. She could get anything she wanted with a simple command. No one in their right mind would give that up.I guess Jessica

EmmaThe sun was starting to set, which painted the sky with orange light. Looking at the view outside the window, we were getting close to the pack entrance of the Dark Desert Pack. Though it was still a bit far, I knew I had to get out before we got any closer. That’s when I made up my mind.“Please pull over to the side,” I uttered. Ken turned to me for a moment before getting back on the road.“Are you sure you want to get off here? It’s still a bit far.” “It’s fine, Ken. I can take a taxi from here. Thanks for the ride,” I replied, smiling at him.“How about another mile?”But I gently shook my head, turning down his kind offer.“Andrew has a lot of eyes in this territory. If someone sees us together, it’ll complicate things. For now, I need you to stay away from the Dark Desert Pack, at least until I gather enough evidence, just like the Jury wants.”Ken didn’t press the issue any further. A few more seconds, and the car pulled to the side. However, I could see that the worry

EmmaThree days had passed since that fateful night… I could walk properly now. Thanks to my natural wolf healing ability, my burned feet no longer hurt like they did before. I was also glad I listened to Ken’s advice about trusting the doctors on Cavanaugh Hospital. The medicine and ointments they gave me really helped speed my recovery. From downstairs, I heard the faint sound of dishes clinking. Andrew must’ve been having dinner alone again. I haven’t seen Jessica’s shadow roaming around lately. I overheard the omegas saying Andrew was still trying to bring Jessica back to the mansion. I didn’t know if it was true, though.Honestly, I no longer cared. In fact, I didn’t want to see him either. I spent the past few days inside my room, and my burned feet gave me a good excuse to do so. It made avoiding him easier. Suddenly, there was a knock at my door.“Luna Emma?” an omega called from the other side.“Come in,” I responded.“Alpha Andrew wishes to have dinner with you.”I heaved

Andrew The moment Jessica told me about Ken and Emma’s secret meeting, I knew I had to confront Emma about it. My feet stomped all the way upstairs once we reached Dark Desert Pack. I slammed the door to Emma’s room, where I found her preparing for bed. Emma’s movements were still affected by her injuries. She slowly tilted her body toward me. I cleared my throat and bluntly said, “I don’t want to see Ken’s shadow in my pack.” I was expecting Emma to object, but she didn’t say anything. I waited for a moment, but still, nothing. “Did you hear what I said?” I raised my voice, hoping this time Emma would answer. She took a deep breath and asked softly. “May I know why?” “Are you seriously asking that?” I said irritably. How could she be so clueless? “It’s not right for a married Luna to be seen with an unmated Alpha like Ken. What if someone sees you? What if rumors start spreading?” I raised my finger, making sure she understood exactly what I meant. “It’s wrong, and it won’
