Enzo's POV

Cutter eventually gave in.

"How do you intend to investigate?" He asked me.

"At least let me speak to this Ernest you keep bringing up."

"Are you going to confront him?"

I shook my head. "That's not a good idea. If he's really lying, then a straight-up confrontation would only tip him off."

"What's your plan?"

"We'll investigate secretly. I'll need you to play along."

Cutter frowned. "I don't understand."

"It's simple. You'll pretend that Cindy rescued you, and you both ran away together. Kyle and I will disguise ourselves as Cindy's subordinates, and you'll take us back to your hideout. We need the culprits to expose themselves."
