Jakeson’s pov

I looked at the man before me, then looked at Octava, as she joined us.

“Well, I need you to start speaking, Jakeson. What the hell happened in there? I brought this rogue Lycan in there with you, and I expected that as I brought him in, he would still be alive for questioning. I haven’t even asked him anything, haven’t interrogated him. And I show up to find out that you and my brother were about to hit it off in the dungeon room. And not only that, there were cracks around the walls, and the rogue was dead.”

She then looked to Kaelan.

“Did you do this?”

Kaelan looked at her.

“I didn’t. But if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t mind killing anybody who stepped in my way, and that includes your dear boyfriend here.”

She scoffed.

“He’s not my boyfriend. And Kaelan, mind how you talk to me.”
