Emma's POV

"What are you doing? Let me go!" I was shocked by his sudden action and tried to break free from his clutch. But the more I resisted, the harder he pinned me.

A mocking smile appeared on his face as he said, "Trying to be modest, are we, Emma? Are you gonna deny that this was what you wanted?"

"What do you mean?" I stared into his dark blue eyes which reminded me of the night sky.

This was the first time he was this close to me and I couldn't help but notice his exquisite features. He was blessed with almond eyes and long curly lashes, paired with a strong set of eyebrows. He had a bridged nose and thin pink lips, all accommodating in his rectangular face with a square jawline.

Alpha Draven was the most handsome man in our pack and every time I looked into his eyes, I remembered why I fell in love with him in the first place.

He said, "Didn't you just complain to my mother that I wouldn't sleep with you?"

My face reddened with embarrassment, I did not expect that vile woman to spill everything to him.

While I was still figuring out how to respond to this, Draven leaned toward my ears. His hot breath hit my skin, swirling me with goosebumps as he whispered, "I am going to change it tonight."

My mind was in a tempest right now but I had enough sense within me to understand his intentions.

"No, wait!" I resisted but it was too late already as he started to nibble on my neck.

A moan escaped my lips when his lips touched my skin, welling my body with sensations I never knew before.

He unzipped my frock and shoved his hand inside, skillfully exploring the places they had never been to.

"Draven, stop! Stop this." I begged but to no avail, he seemed determined to have me today.

With no time, I was bare in his hands, my body reacting to his touch even though I didn't want to. Draven pulled back and looked down at my face, "Woman, you tried to act saint but your body betrayed your facade."

My face clouded with shame and I looked away, not wanting to meet his eyes. He smirked at me like a devil and said, "Admit it. This was all just another scheme of yours to get inside my pants."

"No, it was not!" I glared at him, and even though I tried to put on an indifferent face, my heart was trembling inside.

Draven ignored my words and wrapped his lips around mine, kissing me without a warning. I clutched the quilt underneath me. Was this really happening or was this all just a cruel dream?

Clothes slipped out of our bodies, layer by layer until there was nothing left. Draven held me in his arms, kissing my neck and making his way towards my tender chest. I gasped in ecstasy every time his lips lingered on me and left a mark behind.

The night was extremely beautiful; the breeze coming in through the windows shifted the curtains, making the room illuminated with the pale blue moonlight. I opened my eyes and looked at him, his eyes were closed and he seemed to be lost in pleasure just like me.

He handled me with tenderness, to the point that my first time was not as scary or painful as I thought it would be.

Suddenly, he took his pace, indicating that he was on the verge. I let myself get carried away and hugged his shoulders.

This was it… I was finally going to be his woman.

"Stella…" Just as I was starting to celebrate within myself, I heard him call out her name. I froze, my heart falling down to the depths of my gut.

Did… did he just take her name?

Draven opened his eyes and looked at me, the hint of happiness in his eyes vanished somewhere in the disappointment on his face when he realized that it was me.

He immediately pulled out of me as if I were some dirt and rolled off the bed, quickly retreating into the bathroom.

The sound of water gushing down the shower filled the silence of the room.

And that was it…

We were back to how we used to be, sharing the same bed but miles apart.

I buried my head in my pillow; the scent of our passion still lingered on the cold, empty bed, reminding me of how he took her name. I closed my eyes and cried in silence.

How could I ever believe that he had a place for any woman other than Stella in his heart?

No matter what I did, I was never going to be good enough for him. I can never be a match to her and it was breaking my heart.

  • I Became An Alpha After Divorce   All for her

Draven's POVThe voice on the phone, which was still till now, flickered with a hint of surprise, “Is that so?”The man looked at me with pleasantness beaming from his eyes, “What do you want us to do now, boss? Should we force him to sign the stepping-down agreement?”“No need for that. The whole point of making him step down from the position of the Alpha was no make him weaker so that we could kill him easily. Now that he is right here, we can just execute him.”My blood froze when I heard what the ‘boss’ said. Was this all just to kill me? Being the Alpha of the pack, I did have an extra layer of protection around me all the time. To think that the kidnapping of the kids to make me step down was just a small part of a carefully executed plan to kill me was giving me the idea that the person on the other side of the phone was not just any regular person. The man grinned, “Gladly, boss. I will update you once I am done with this.”The call was hung up, and the men gathered around to

  • I Became An Alpha After Divorce   My children are innocent

Draven's POV“Alpha, the soldiers are positioned as per your order,” Trace reported to me, snapping me out of my trance. My eyes intensified at the old factory building in front of me; it turned out there was an entire section of forest that was off our records. This abandoned sugar factory sure was old and seemed to have been abandoned decades ago, but there is no way our pack wouldn’t be aware of its existence, unless someone meddled with our records and made sure this place was kept in the dark. The more I connected the dots, the scarier it got. The way everything was unfolding, it seemed like Robin was indeed right and someone really powerful was operating behind the scenes. Was it really Crusers? And if it really is the Crusers, why are they operating near my pack, miles away from their origin place of Italy? And why would an underworld gang kidnap my kids? What does this all have to do with them? It was not making sense to me, but something within me told me that this was far d

  • I Became An Alpha After Divorce   It was real

Emma's POVI got inside the car and looked over at Draven. He was focused on the road and looked too calm for the situation.I was itching to ask him about the white wolf and if he knew anything about it. Before he could, he asked me, “What were you doing when you established contact with Ashel’s wolf?”“I…” I thought about it and said, “Nothing. I was just too panicked and worried.”“So it happened on its own, and you did not do anything?”“No.” I replied and looked down, “Do you even think it is real?”“Yes.” He gave me a shocking reply, “I have heard about it during my training and have read about this in books, but I never thought it was real.”“What? What are you talking about?”“It is an ancient power. There were wolves who could establish contact with the spirits of other wolves, no matter how far they were.”My mind was blown by this information. I have never heard about it before. I know that Alphas can mindlink with other wolves but they have to belong to the same pack and h

  • I Became An Alpha After Divorce   I trust her

Emma's POV“Emma? Emma…” Draven’s panicked voice woke me up from my slumber. “Thank God you are okay.” Relief clouded his face as he opened the car door. I looked around to see that I was in the middle of nowhere. It turned out I had parked my car and just dozed off; everything I saw was just a mere dream. But the voice… and the wolf… they seemed so realistic.“Are you alright?” Draven asked as he unbuckled my seat belt. He grabbed my hand and helped me step out of the vehicle. My head was unusually heavy and dizzy, I was just numb and going wherever he was taking me. Turns out Draven was not alone, the Gamma and scouts were here as well. The man asked, “Miss Whitemane, are you alright?”I nodded, unable to say a word. He asked, “What happened? Why did you run away all of a sudden? The Alpha was worried about you.”I could not answer his question. Instead, I looked at Draven and asked, “Ashel… Did you find her?”Draven replied, “We are still searching.”“Then… Then we should not wa

  • I Became An Alpha After Divorce   The mysterious wolf

Emma's POVMy composure crumbled. “Draven,” I choked out, “I don’t know what’s happening to me. I am hallucinating. I think I am losing my mind.”“Hey, hey. Breathe. Tell me what happened.”I swallowed hard, my fingers trembling as I sent him my location, “Please, hurry.”“I AM on my wa.,” he assured me. “Stay put.”Just as I hung up, movement caught my eye. A figure stood in the middle of the road, draped in a black robe.My pulse spiked. My instincts screamed at me to drive, to leave, but something held me in place. Slowly, I rolled down my window. “Do you need help?”No response. My phone chimed again. I glanced at the message from Draven—Almost there. When I lifted my gaze, the figure was gone.A shiver ran down my spine. I scanned the area, my breath catching when I turned to my side—The figure stood right next to my window.I barely had time to gasp. My heart slammed against my ribs, my chest tightening with panic. The woman’s hood cast deep shadows over her face, but I could f

Emma's POVJust when I thought that I was hearing things, I heard her again, “Mom… Can you hear me?”The voice was faint, distant, but unmistakable. My heart leaped into my throat and I gasped, my breath hitching as I heard the familiar voice echo through my head.“Ashel?” I called, my eyes darting frantically around the dimly lit space. But there was no one there, just the cold walls and the flickering bulb above me.My heart pounded against my ribs and I was dying to just hear her voice one more time. “Ashel!” I yelled again, desperation creeping into my voice.“Mom, please save me. I am scared.” Her unmistakable voice spoke to me.“I am here. I will get you, sweetie. Don’t be scared.” I pressed my ear against the door to see if anyone was there and heard the faint mutters of the housekeepers talking to themselves. I started pounding on the door with clenched fists, “Let me out!”The initial chatter stopped dramatically and there was dead silence now.A sharp wave of panic surged th
