Emma's POV

Two days later…

I was in front of the mirror, doing my makeup. I did not want to look dull at a fancy party. The banquet was a masquerade ball with the theme as the ‘Victorian Era'.

I did not want to spend money on this stupid party so I borrowed a dress from Natasha. It was a pale blue dress, it was a safe color and would not attract much attention.

Since I did not have an invitation on my own, I took Natasha's. Since my face would be covered, it was not like they would recognise me. And, I was going together with Alex for extra safety; he would handle things if they go South.

The party was at Natasha's father's pack which was a three hour drive from here.

Alex said he would pick me up in ten minutes.

The kids sat watching me get ready and said, “You look pretty, mommy.”

“Thank you, sweetie.” I smiled at Ashel.

As for Asher, he was straight to the business, “Did you rehearse what you are going to say?”

“Yes, sir. I did.”
