LOGIN~IVY~So… I didn't find anything from the secret passageway like I initially thought. The secret passageway was just a regular old secret passageway that held secrets, but not mine. Apparently mine is harder to find. It has been carefully hidden out of plain sight, unapproachable. It's almost like the Lyovles lineage didn't exist. Like we're just a fallacy. We're being wiped out. It's as though I'm the only Lyovles alive. But I know the Ebon Testament is out there, and they're clues about my lineage. I just haven't searched at the right place yet. That's why I decided to try out a different place tonight. The academy outskirts. It smells different. Not like the clean stone halls or the candle smoke that clings to my clothes no matter how much I air them out. Out here, the air carries damp earth, crushed leaves, and something sharp that makes the back of my throat itch.Metal.I got the idea of searching out here when I heard a few students talking about it in the library. Apparently
~IVY~If there’s one thing I’ve learned since coming to this academy, it’s that nothing important ever stays on the surface. Not the truth. Not danger. And definitely not secrets. That’s why I’m crouched behind a tapestry at midnight, holding a torchlight, listening to my own heartbeat echo through stone walls older than common sense. The secret passage smells like dust and something faintly metallic. The kind of smell that sticks to your clothes and refuses to leave, no matter how many showers you take. The narrow corridor curves sharply, stones uneven beneath my boots, as if the academy itself has grown tired of being straight and proper centuries ago.I found the passage by accident.Well, “accident” is generous. I followed a draft I found behind one of the library shelves in the restricted archive. A cold breath of air where there shouldn’t be one. One loose stone later, and the wall had slid open like it had been waiting for me all along. That alone should’ve scared me enough to
~IVY~The library has become our second classroom at this point. We go there almost everyday. The academy's purpose is for its students to have access to a wide range of knowledge through reading, not to confine the students to just it's regular curriculum. But almost every student I know is doing everything but reading. The library is more of a free period, to catch up on assignments, gist and for some, to make out. Me? I'm mostly in the library to find whatever I can on the Ebon Testament and so far, I've got nothing. My last hope is checking out the room of artifacts and even that is not guaranteed. But I'm not giving up till I find it. Wherever it is, I'll find it. I have no other hope but to find it.Sitting in Roxie's and my regular spot in the reading arena, I mindlessly pick a book from a few I selected earlier. The Divine Bond Of MateshipShould a book like this be in a school library? I read the synopsis and find out it's actually not bad, it seems pretty educational.I th
~IVY~For the first time I'm actually asleep by midnight. There's no nightmares, no sweating and abruptly jerking up from sleep.Oh I wish it were true. I wish I was actually sleeping peacefully with no sweating and nightmares.Instead, my eyes are wide open as though my blood was replaced with caffeine, my body already used to being awake by this time. 12:00am is like 1:00pm for me, it's normal.Unlike previous times, I didn't mind staying awake at night, but tonight, I wanted to actually sleep. It's tiring having your mind work all day with little rest. I've tried even my most effective method of falling asleep, reading my ethics and history textbook, but yet nothing. I'm wide awake, sitting on my bed, staring at the full moon that shines brightly in the star filled sky. It's one of those nights where you look at the sky and understand why people love star gazing. It's a beautiful night. Too bad I don't have someone to share it with. Roxie must be fast asleep by now. How badly do I
~IVY~The courtyard looks harmless enough when I step into it. I like the open space, trimmed grass, and stone benches. This is the kind of place where people should be feeding birds or pretending to study. While everyone is either on their way home, in the student center or in the library. I decided to come here for fresh air before heading to the dorm.Roxie has gone off to return a book, promising to meet me at the dorms later. That leaves me alone, walking across the stone pathway with my backpack bouncing lightly against my side.Today has been… eventful. I was accused of getting pregnant and met with the white haired twins. The pregnancy rumor didn't even last twelve hours before another gossip took over. That's the way it is at Blackthorn Academy. I don't even bother trying to know what the other gossip was, because before morning I'm hundred percent positive another one will overshadow it.Meeting the white haired twins was refreshing and enlightening. At least I get to see th
~IVY~You miss school for one day, just one day and you come back to find out that some third year students almost transported the entire academy to another realm by unleashing an unknown portal. And this is not the only thing that happened.Apparently, two teachers had a public confrontation. One slapped the other, and the other almost used the Infringement Spell on her.The infringement spell is a spell that is prohibited both in the academy and paranormal world due to it's brutality. Yet she was willing to use it on a fellow teacher, and now she's been sacked. Also, someone found a dead rat in his meal during lunch. All these happened while I decided to skip class just this once. Nothing this interesting happens when I'm in school. This is Karl and Damon's fault. If only they insisted I stay after the training, I would’ve witnessed all these dramas myself. Instead they encouraged me to go to my dorm.Damon even carried me to my room. I'll shift more of the blame to Damon. No need t
