LOGIN'No matter what, No matter the time, No matter the place, No matter the century, No matter what's to come, I. will always. CHOOSE. YOU'. Everyone saw her as crazy..... But he saw her as nothing less than perfection. ................... "Why?" was the only thing he said. Confused I asked "Why what?" "Why do you always do this to yourself?" the tone in which he spoke almost seemed like he was heartbroken about something. "Do what?" I dared to ask, although I knew already within me I wouldn't like his response. "Conceal your worth" ....................... If you like this small insight of the story then please read on. The only thing I can guarantee you in this story is that it will definitely have an happy ending although for the two characters Rica and Dili to achieve that, they would have too pass through many difficult obstacles on their way to happiness. And trust me this isn't your normal Teenage story that is filled with rainbows and sunshine, there are a lot of gloomy days. If you don't mind that then please by all means do read on. .................. NOTE: This is a pure work of fiction. An original story by me. Buy me coffee? https://ko-fi.com/missrina
View MoreWelcome dudes and dudeths! I'm honestly Soo excited to start writing a book of this caliber. Apparently this is my very first Nigerian book, yup very first.
I've always had the thought of writing a book that brings awareness to some of the bad things going on in our society today, practically to all teens out there in the world, and how we can change our society at large.
I honestly hope my book reaches out to people out there.
Some of the things this book is going to surround on would be,
1) The abusive use of drugs (this particular one is sadly really rampant)
2) Body shaming (people that do this really need to have a serious attitude adjustment)
3) Suicide attempt (this is quite rampant among Teens)
4) inferior complex (won't lie even I have this)
5) And of course Love I mean we all need love in our lives, whether Family love, friendship love or even the Romantic sort of love.
Soooo ladies and gent's please join me on this hopefully exciting journey of pain, overcoming that pain and finally finding the joy that very much well deserved.
PS: I'm going to be using a lot of Nigerian slangs, but I'm going to be interpreting don't worry. But if I forget to interpret a particular part, Please call my attention to it. Thanks.
Dili didn't come back as he had said he would in the note. Mr Seye was the one who came to take me home. I'll have to say me sleeping until school was over wasn't what ai had envisioned for the day. No not at all. But who am I to complain, that was practically one of the best sleeps I have had in years so to say. Insomnia is a really bad thing I tell you.Still I was in a really good mood at the moment. The note Dili had left for me was very much still lingering in my head. A small smile adorned my face as I recalled exactly what he said, word for word. Knowing that the person you like equally shares the same feeling as you do was truly bliss I tell you. When I finally reached home I was surprised to see that my parents were back. That immediately dampened my mood a little. I honestly wasn't expecting them to be back so soon. I don't know what I was expecting but just as they didn't tell me when they were traveling they also didn't see the need to tell me when they were coming back. V
"So is it going to be only us that will be here?" I turned to Dili and asked. He were both inside the library sitting on our usual spot. After I agreed to his suggestion and came into the library to rest a for a while, I was confused when Dili sat down also, I thought he was just going to leave me there. So when I asked him all he said was "Did you really expect me to leave you here all by yourself?" He said this all with a smirk of course."Who else were you expecting?" he asked."I was just thinking Chimdi and the others will come here also, just like yesterday" I told him."No they aren't coming today" He paused, and with a teasing tone he continued "Which means you have me all to yourself" After he finished talking he began to lean a lot closer to me. I automatically stopped breathing as he came closer and closer to me, I kid you not I really did cease my breathing. It felt like time stopped moving as quickly. Still holding my breath I immediately clenched my eyes tightly shut. I
"What's the meaning of this Dili? Release my hand joor" I said struggling slightly to free myself from his hold.He turned around to face me and smirked, as if he wasn't angry few minutes ago. Was he bipolar or something? He wiggled his eyebrows teasingly and said "Says the girl that grabbed my hand first" I turned red embarrassed as he was accurately spot on. I was infact the one that grabbed his hand first."It was on impulse" I mumbled. This only made him to chuckle."Whatever makes you sleep well at night Rica" Winking at me he finally turned back all the while still dragging me to God knows where. After give or take three minutes we finally reached our supposedly destination. I stared with a dull look at the entrance door."Are you serious? You dragged me all the way to the library?" I turned to look at him."Of course na, where else were you thinking I was taking you" He said with a careless shrug. Sometimes I really want to hit this boy.I didn't respond to what he said instead
It absolutely slipped my mind that the next day was another day of school. With everything that happened yesterday it was very plausible that I forgot. I didn't even have the time to dread school the next day because a lot of things were on my mind. I'm sure you're wondering why I used the word 'dread'. To be actually honest, school wasn't all that bad, even before I met Dili it really wasn't, save for the bullying in school I actually.... enjoy the place teenagers called hell. I really loved learning. Homeworks, tests, quiz and exams were the normal things students desperately hated to the very core, but I thought different about that. God I'm ranting too much I know. Now back to what I was saying, 'dreading' Yeah. I was dreading school tomorrow because after the stunt Dili pulled on the schools PA system I didn't know how people were going to take it. I didn't go back to class yesterday after lunch break was over, Courtesy of my dear fiance Dili, so I wasn't able to see how my cla
