My eyes widened in shock. His words grabbed all the people's attention around me. They started giving me fleeting glances of disgust.

"She sold her body for money?"

"Ten thousand! That's too much!"

"She looks innocent, but who thought she was like that inside?"

"Didn't you hear Kevin? She is a slut!"

"You mean she always sells her body for money?"

My hands clutched the book, turning my fingers white. My gaze lowered. Tears welled in my eyes.

I could not believe the commitment I made a while ago to myself had broken so soon. I cried again.

I felt someone moving toward me from behind.

There was no doubt it was Kevin. He moved from the wall and came behind me.

He stood behind my back.

My body froze when he lowered his head to my neck. I felt his breath on my ear, which caught my heart and stopped it.

"What about it, slut? Don't want to admit your nightly sins?"

His voice was as sharp as a knife. His words cut through my heart, stabbing me with humiliation.
