Chapter 10

Author: Anonymous
Niel became quieter. He always cried in the direction of my room, just like how he would as a boy when he was mistreated.

I sat beside him and just watched him quietly.

I would be lying if I said I did not resent him for what he did to me, but after a person died, they disappeared from the physical world, and I could no longer change anything in the physical world.

One month after my death, Niel stopped Sully on her way after she was released from detention.

Without another word, he stabbed Sully a few times, and her blood splashed all over his body.

My timid brother laughed maniacally and shouted at Sully, “You’re going to hell to pay what you owe to my sister!

“I’m going to pay what I owe to her, too. I’m the most horrible and disgusting brother in the world! I betrayed her! So, Sully, we’re going to hell together.”

The sun was bright that day. After Niel watched Sully take her last breath, he took his own life.

He acted so quickly and decisively that he left no chance

Niel became quieter. He always cried in the direction of my room, just like how he would as a boy when he was mistreated. I sat beside him and just watched him quietly. • I Died On The Operating Table   Chapter 9

The notes just went to show that my disappointment did not happen overnight. In the end, my father started crying as well. To him, I was a horrible, evil demon. But when he saw the truth, he finally learned that I was innocent. After learning about all this, my parents threw the notes in front of Sully and chased her out. Since they had promised to take care of Sully until she was independent, this was all they could do. Sully cried and begged them not to chase her out for a long time, but Niel threw a bucket of cold water over her. With no other choice left, Sully had to go to Jacob. At that time, Jacob was drinking himself drunk while hugging my photo. He kept calling out to me as he recalled how we met, got to know each other, and fell in love. In her anger, Sully grabbed his collar and demanded, “I’m your girlfriend, aren’t I?!”“No, you’re not. Yelena is my girlfriend.”Jacob looked at the sky dejectedly with a lifeless gaze. There was only endless darkness wit

That day, my parents bawled like their world had ended, even though they had always hated me. They held each other tightly and tried to get me to wake up. But in the end, they had to accept the truth and leave with my body. On the day of my funeral, Sully was forced to help, even though she was still as pale as a ghost. She was trembling. By the looks of it, she was in great pain. My mother only gave her one look before she forced her to kneel. Sully refused to do it. She stubbornly demanded an answer. “I don’t owe Yelena anything. She didn’t die because of me.”By the looks of it, she already knew the truth behind why I died, and that was why she had a dependable shield. My mother tensed up before she tore Sully’s defense to shreds. “If she didn’t need to give you her bone marrow, Yelena wouldn’t have died. She could still have lived for another two years. I got her killed.“How could I forget? I looked forward to her birth so much.”People only ever remembered h

Suddenly, the phone rang. My mother scowled. They said that there was an emotional bond between mother and daughter. Was she feeling sad for me?“Hello, are you Yelena Zimmer’s family? My apologies, but we could not save Miss Zimmer, and she passed away two days ago. If you are able, please come to the hospital to retrieve her body.”A cold voice traveled through the phone. It shocked my mother so badly that she flung the phone away. She bit down on her lip before she finally asked, “Is this another one of Yelena’s tricks? How could she possibly be dead?!”Her voice grew louder. Even though she said that she did not believe that I was dead, her quivering voice betrayed her real thoughts. I approached her silently and wanted to reach out, but it was useless. ‘Mom, I died, just like you wanted. Can’t you be happier?’ I thought. After she hung up, my mother stood for a long time. In fact, she stood for so long that my father’s phone started ringing. She grabbed the phone an

As they pumped the anesthetics into me, my mind returned to a time ten years ago. At that time, Sully had not joined our family yet, and my mother loved me dearly. She bought dresses, ice cream, and beautiful candy for me.One candy was particularly sweet. It was so sweet that it made me happy. My mother hugged me and patted my head as she said, “You’re the best, Yelena. You’re the greatest gift from God.”But one day, that gift rotted away and was thrown into the ditch. Anything thrown into a drain was dirty. It was a perfect match for someone like me. My eyelids grew heavier, and my tears fell. The piercing sound of alarms traveled into my ears, along with the doctor’s orders. “The patient is in critical condition and has no will to live. Save her!”I saw multiple people moving around. It was a mess. I sighed. I was lucky. At the final moments of my life, I still had people trying their hardest to save me. “Miss Zimmer, the weather is great today. The sun is shin

The medical staff told me to rest well, and that there was hope for me to survive, but I knew they were just trying to comfort me.I forced out a smile and picked up my phone. There were no notifications. No one asked after me. I tried to squash down my anguish and unlocked my phone.Right then, my phone rang. My creditor had finally decided to call. It was the first time Sully ever called me. “Yelena, I’m sorry that I took everything from you. I don’t blame you for my parents’ deaths, but I just want to live.”She sounded really sad, and her voice was soft. If she did not mind, why would she keep talking about it?I could not find the strength to argue with her, so I said nothing. But Sully did not need an answer from me. She coughed a few times and continued, “Your family doesn’t like you and keeps abusing you, but I’m the one who gave you food and toys.“Whenever I’m at home, I refuse to listen to them badmouth you.“I’ve already tried my hardest to get along with
