“So, you’re telling me that you are no longer working for Charlotte?” I asked.

“Yeah, most of the guys that used to work for her actually left” the driver replied.

I remained quiet after hearing that he was no longer working for Charlotte, it was never easy to quit when you were working for Charlotte. It was as if some kind of fear was instilled in them or something.

“I know you’re wondering how that happened” he guessed my thoughts.

“Yeah man, I mean you were all so afraid to actually leave that place, what happened?” I replied.

“I guess we realized that we were actually oppressed and it was not Charlotte who was doing all that but her dad” he said.

All the time I lived with Charlotte I have never seen her dad and now that the driver was mentioning him, it hit me as a shock.
