I was Victoria Smith, the girlfriend of Jack Anderson, one of the wealthy heirs of the upper society in our city.

But very soon, I would not be his girlfriend anymore.

That was because I wanted to teach him a lesson.

Why did I not break up with him like a decent person before getting together with someone else?

Well, he brought this upon himself.

He disliked my figure, and he kept pressuring me to get breast reduction surgery.

What was even more irritating was that he even had a second account to talk to other women behind my back.

After some serious consideration, I decided to cheat on him before breaking up with him.

At night, before I slept, I posted a photo of my face for the first time on my social media account that had ten thousand followers.

After I posted the photo, my follower count grew to almost a hundred thousand within half an hour.

Despite all the praises and selfies in my inbox, a direct message captured my attention.

[Don’t you have a boyfriend?]

How would this person know that I was not single?

I clicked on his profile.

His IP showed that he was in the same city as me. He did not have a profile picture or any social media posts.

His bio was short. [Countless progress will eventually lead to victory.]

I suddenly had an inexplicable feeling that this person must know me.

Could it be Jack?

That would be no fun.

Just as I was contemplating whether I should reply, the other person texted me again.

[Have you thought of your boyfriend’s feelings?

[Even if you want to get another boyfriend, you shouldn’t look for one online.

[There are many scammers online.

I was very certain that this person was not Jack.

However, judging by the vibe of his texts, he seemed quite close to Jack.

He would sometimes leave comments on my posts.

Jack did not even know I had an account, but this person had followed me for so long.

I was curious.

I texted. [Alright then, goodbye.]

After I sent that text, I exited the chat box. I then switched off my phone and went straight to sleep.

The next day, I logged into my account immediately after waking up and read my texts.

As expected, he had sent me a lot of texts. He had even tried to call me.

[What do you mean by goodbye?

[Please make yourself clear!

[Are you seriously looking for a boyfriend? I’ve given it some thought. I think I’m up for it.

[But I won’t be a homewrecker. You need to make it official with me!

[Why aren’t you replying?

[Are you asleep?

There was a missed call between the texts.

[I already said I’m up for it. You don’t have to look for anyone else.]

The text message was followed by two other missed calls.

[Fine! I can do without an official title since Jack is not a great guy anyway. The last time he went overseas, he visited a maid-themed cafe behind your back.]
