"FAT!" My body stiffened and my grip on the rope tightened. I was walking with my dog that morning. This is my way of working out. But I have more rest than walking. I had only taken a few steps, but I was out of breath and tired quickly.
"Fat!"
Tsk! He even repeated! Annoyed, I clenched my fists.
I saw a rock, I quickly picked it up and threw it at the man who called me fat, but it hit the parked car. But to my surprise, the man was not looking at me, but at a cat running away.
Oh, that's why my dog is barking!
"Why did you do that?" the man asked me, frowning as he stared into my eyes.
"Because you pissed me off!" I replied disgustedly. My thick eyebrows fluttered.
"How did I annoy you, huh?" Kier stepped closer to me.
Kier Williams – is the only son of a friend of my parents. And he was the best friend of my brother, Tristan.
Kier is my most mortal enemy. I guess from the moment we learned to speak and walk, we didn't get along. He always annoyed and insulted me.
"You called me fat!"
"I didn't call you fat. There, oh!" Kier's snout pointed.
I looked at what his snout pointed at. I saw a healthy cat lying on the grass.
"Even the poor cat couldn't avoid your antics. Stop it, Karpo!"
"Kier!" He corrects his name. "My parents gave me a nice name, then you make it stink."
"Tsk, whatever!"
"Our cat's name is Fat. I'll get back to you," he said and quickly got into the car.
I did not speak. My eyes just followed the car in the distance. I took a deep breath.
I looked at my dog when it barked.
"Is it my fault, huh, Beauty?" I'm talking to my pet dog. It barked as if it understood what I said. "He called me fat back then, until now. Beauty, you witnessed how that man insulted me and how he made me cry with his sarcasm!"
I patted Beauty's head. Its tail wagged.
"I don't want to waste my time with him." I adjusted Beauty’s dog collar. "Let's go!"
I took a step. My dog followed me.
There are a lot of people at Wellington’s Amusement Park. The park is vast, it opened three months ago.
"Fatima!"
I was a little surprised when I heard someone call my name. Lucas is the one I saw. He is also a friend of my brother, Tristan.
My forehead furrowed when I saw those who followed him. Four old women and two old men. The yellow suit they were wearing was dazzling.
"When did you become a Zumba Instructor, Lucas?"
"Just now!" Lucas replied, smiling. "Auntie Trinidad is doing something important. You know, I'm a choreographer. Come, come with us."
"It’s different. They might even break their bones because of you." I greeted the elders.
I think Lucas is planning to let the elders absorb my youthfulness!
"Come on, come with us to make them feel younger." He refers to the elders. "And to reduce your body fat."
"Tse! You even criticized me! Get out of my sight."
Laughing, Lucas turned his back on me.
"Grandpa, Grandma, move! Shake your hips to the left and shake it to the right!" I heard Lucas shout.
I was about to sit on the wooden bench in the park when I heard someone speak behind me.
"You again?"
"There was a scratch on my car door because of what you did."
"It's not my fault," I didn't sit on the bench. I pulled on the leash and talked to my dog like a human. "Let's go home before he ruins my whole day."
I stepped forward and ignored Kier.
"What's not your fault? I saw you, you hit my car when you threw the rock!" Kier followed me.
"You called me by my name," I continued walking. I suddenly had a stiff neck because I looked straight ahead.
"When did your name become 'Fat'? As far as I can remember, you are Fatima. Your name just sounds a bit like the word 'Fat'."
I stopped. My eyes narrowed as I faced him. "See? You often call me by the name 'Fat.'"
"My car was scratched, so you should pay for it."
"Hello? Why would I do that?" I did not show weakness in him? Huh, I might hit him with my raging fat on my arm. "I haven't done anything wrong to you! You're the one who always insults me. You thought maybe you were funny. That's your karma!"
"But you meant to hit my car with a rock!" He still followed me.
"I wouldn't do that if you didn't insult me. Do you know that because of you my day was completely ruined?"
"I call our cat Fat, not you. You're weird. You thought everything I said was about you. Because you're fat, you immediately thought you were what I called Fat, You're too guilty."
"What the f–hmp!" I inhale and exhale.
I have to control myself. Kier would annoy me, even more, when he felt that my brain cells were getting angry.
"Hey, Fat! I mean, Fatima."
"All right, insult me some more." I saw a rock. "Choose, I will scratch your car, or I will break your car window?!"
"Hey! Put that down!"
"I do not want!"
I'm fat. Kier is tall. I was only up to his shoulder. I wasn’t prepared for what Kier did. He forcefully took the stone from my hand.
Beauty my pet dog is to the rescue for me. Kier avoided stepping on my pet so he lost his balance.
"Kier!" My eyes widened.
I tried to pull him into his T-shirt, but it was too late, he was already lying on the grass. I also lost my balance because I was holding his T-shirt tightly.
I fell on top of his body. I screamed.
Off all places!
"Admiring the view?"My cheeks warmed up. I didn't mean to stare at him. And what’s even more annoying, I got caught.I blinked when I heard Kier moan."I-I can't breathe. You're so heavy, Fatima."I think I was so amused by staring into Kier's eyes and forgot that I was lying on top of his body. With my weight reaching eighty kilograms, I had difficulty getting up."Ouch...""What's wrong with you?" I asked Kier worriedly. I was wearing fitted jeans, so I had a hard time standing up."My-""What?""M-my sexy back. I think my spinal cord was broken in two. I think the pig that was supposed to be roasted fell on my body."Annoyed, I looked at Kier's face and saw a silly smile."You will pay for what you did to my car. And now you will also pay my hospital bill.""Stop being overacting!" I said angrily to him. "You deserve it. You lack attention."In my annoyance, I stood up. I pulled on my dog’s leash and turned my back on the man who was still lying on the grass."Fatima, where are yo
SWEETS and desserts are my weakness. I will never give up chocolates and cakes. I can't do anything with the fact that I really enjoy the food. Treats are always first on the list of things I want to eat. Especially cakes, cupcakes, and chocolate chip cookies. And I can eat them for free at Lover's Café. I'm sexy and I'm the only one who knows it! I also believe that being sexy cannot be measured by the body. For me, a person is sexy if they have a sense of humor. If smart! Coincidentally, I understood that word differently than others did. Their knowledge is limited. And one of them is Kier Williams! And surprisingly, I’m not yet used to those antics of Kier. I was even surprised even though I knew the sarcasm and insults he was throwing at me. If I had high blood pressure, he would definitely be the cause of my death. Knock on wood, don't! I am not numb, I am secretly hurt. "OH, my, Tristan is really handsome." I heard Kim whisper. I winced because of what my friend said
Kim had a sudden visitor, so she couldn’t come with me to go to church that afternoon. "Your tire is flat!"I heard someone shout. I saw the gray car and I knew who was driving it. "Have mercy. If I were you, I'd just walk. If your car could talk, it must have been complaining for a long time. It might even cry because you're heavy!" "You're a jerk!" "Fat!" "Put that car aside and get out!" "No way!" "I'll beat you and I won't stop until you've had a lot of bruises on your face. You'll see!" Kier let out a loud laugh. "You need to lose weight! I swear, your car will be happy. Believe me!" "I said get out of the car! Coward!" Both my ears warmed up. I showed him my fist. "Bye, Fatty!" he said and sarcastically laughed. His car sped up until I could no longer see it. I took a deep breath. I calmed myself. I'm going to the holy church this afternoon. I don't want to go there if I'm still upset. Deep breath! WHEN I came to church there were a lot of people. I looked for space
EVEN the guy at the counter, the smile he showed me was fake and the way he looked at me was sarcastic. Who cares? I'm a customer. Their offer is for everyone. I was there to eat cakes and drink coffee. I have money to pay for my order so I have nothing to be ashamed of. I swallowed. I bit my lower lip when I saw the cakes displayed on the shelf. I forgot that Kier was with me. That’s the effect of cakes on me, losing my mind. I have a hard time choosing the flavor of the cake. I want to eat everything displayed on the shelf. I pointed to the chocolate cake with a white chocolate drip. That’s what I want to taste first. "What's your best seller of coffee?" "Hazelnut vanilla coffee, ma'am." "Okay. Give me a large size, please." "I already got your orders, maam. Please just wait about five to ten minutes while we prepare your orders." I nodded. I was nervous when I couldn't find my wallet in the pocket of my jeans. Oh, I'm dead! I touched my forehead. My wallet is inside my b
"WHY did you come home late?" my older brother asked me. He was waiting at the entrance door."I'm from church," I replied."I know!" he said, frowning. What's wrong with my older brother, Tristan? In my mind.I touched his neck. "You don't have a fever?" I said and raised my eyebrow. "What happened to you and you suddenly became a caring brother? Back then, even if I came home at ten o'clock in the evening, it was okay with you. You didn't care."He patted my forehead."Ouch!" Annoyed, I wiped his hand that was on my forehead."I saw you with Kier," he rubbed his hand over my face. "What did you do after your coffee, huh?""Duh! What do you think we will do after we have coffee? Of course, go home!""Fatima, don't be a philosopher!""What do you expect us to do after coffee?"Tristan was stunned. He looked at me from head to toe."Turn around," Tristan said."Why?" I wondered. But I did what he said."Sideways."I rolled my eyes. "Fine!""Turn around.""Tristan, I haven't lost any fa
"MOM, maybe you need to control Fatima's food." I looked sharply at Tristan. "Your brother is right." Mom agreed with him. Tristan smiled at me. "When you lose weight, Kier will definitely be happy." "Why would he be happy?" I raised my eyebrow. "He might be sad when I lose weight. Because he can't bully me anymore. I guess I'm the only one who gives pleasure in his daily life. I don't want to diet." "Can you please listen to us? What we're saying is for your good." "Mom..." I said sadly. "I might get sick when I don't eat my favorite sweets." "It’s good and you mentioned it," my mom said. "Starting tomorrow, I don’t want to see you with a chocolate bar in your mouth, huh? You have to count how many calories and carbs you consume in a day." I winced. Mom was serious about torturing me. It's my brother's fault! "Mom, don't torture me," but she ignored me. She shook her head. I finished my dinner. I stood up and simply approached the fridge. "Oh, what are you doing, Fatima?"
I looked at the door of Lover's Café when it opened. Sports Arena owner Norman is the one I saw. But according to my mother, there was a rumor that Norman was not the real owner of the Sports Arena. The first owner who started Sports Arena was in America, so Norman has been the acting owner for years. According to the rumor, Sports Arena has a branch in America and the original owner manages it. "How's your mother's business, Fatima?" Norman asked, smiling as he approached the counter where I was standing. Norman was kind and handsome. Maybe he also takes care of his body by exercising and lifting heavy equipment in the gym, which is very obvious in his muscular body. I once tried to be cute to Norman. But when my brother caught me, he pinched my ear and gave me a sermon. If my brother Tristan acted like that, I looked like a minor. Even though I have a lot of body fat, Tristan still doesn’t want to see me lewd. "Fine. There are a lot of customers coming because you have a lot of fa
I was stunned as I stared at Kier's angry face. He was fully clothed and I could clearly see his body covered in a wet white T-shirt. "Huh? W-what are you talking about?" I'm confused. I don’t know what he was doing in the pool area and why he was so mad. Kier didn't answer. He pulled me to the side of the pool. He even supported me on my elbow and pulled me out of the water. After that, he sat down next to me. His face was grumpy as he looked at me. "Why are you drowning yourself?" "What?" I exclaimed. Did Kier think I was drowning myself? And what went through his mind to make him think I did that? "Hey, Kier! I’m not crazy yet to drown myself! Why would I kill myself, huh?" Instead of being annoyed, a loud laugh came out of my mouth. I couldn’t help but be amused and laugh at Kier’s reaction. Even though the look he was throwing was deadly, I could still see the concern in him. I couldn't help but feel a tickle in my heart. Kier looked at me tenderly. Then all of a sudden he h
