Chapter 9

I was stunned as I stared at Kier's angry face. He was fully clothed and I could clearly see his body covered in a wet white T-shirt.

"Huh? W-what are you talking about?" I'm confused. I don’t know what he was doing in the pool area and why he was so mad.

Kier didn't answer. He pulled me to the side of the pool. He even supported me on my elbow and pulled me out of the water. After that, he sat down next to me. His face was grumpy as he looked at me.

"Why are you drowning yourself?"

"What?" I exclaimed. Did Kier think I was drowning myself? And what went through his mind to make him think I did that? "Hey, Kier! I’m not crazy yet to drown myself! Why would I kill myself, huh?"

Instead of being annoyed, a loud laugh came out of my mouth. I couldn’t help but be amused and laugh at Kier’s reaction. Even though the look he was throwing was deadly, I could still see the concern in him. I couldn't help but feel a tickle in my heart.
