I Hear My Baby's Voice

“Madam Jenkin, congratulations! Your 38th in vitro fertilization is finally a success! Go call your family and tell them the good news!”

The doctor patted me on my shoulder happily, but I was frozen in stunned silence.

I had gone back to the past, and it was the day when I learned of my pregnancy.

My hands trembled as I reached out to cover my belly. The cold sweat on my forehead still remained.

As expected, I immediately heard my unborn baby’s thoughts.

“Mom, please don’t call Grandpa and Grandma! They favor boys over girls. If they learn that I’m a girl, they will definitely poison you until you have a miscarriage. I really want to live!”

I held my phone tightly, and I did not rush to make a decision.
