I Hired an Undertaker After Getting Cancer

When I cut my wrists, I sent the undertaker I hired my exact location.[It’s 304, Unit 1, Garden Road. Don’t get it wrong now.[Be sure to come two hours later.]Half a month ago, I learned that I had cancer, so I went online to hire an undertaker and asked him to provide the full service. I also asked him to come whenever I asked him to.The older generation always said that you had to be properly buried, or you would not be able to rest in peace, and I believed it.So, I worked hard to gather money in order to secure myself a proper burial, but to my surprise, after I sent the message, I received a call from my undertaker. The deep voice of a man came through the phone. “Sorry, something came up in the afternoon, so I won’t be able to go. I can give you your money back. Does that sound good?”When I heard this, my phone nearly slipped out of my grasp.I bit my lip and said, “You promised that you’d come when I asked you to!”If I had not seen all the good reviews the people

I was also a part of the family, but at some point in time, I was considered an outsider. When we were children, Lydia accidentally fell into a pool and hurt herself, but Garcia Marsh, my mother, blamed me for it.She asked me why I did not save Lydia and thought that I was a conniving person. She accused me of being jealous of Lydia and wanting to hurt her.Hence, to protect Lydia, the entire family decided to send me to a boarding school, and I could only return home once a year. They did it in the name of discipline.I was trapped in the boarding school for eight years, but Lydia stayed with the family.Every time Lydia celebrated her birthday, the family organized a fireworks show that spelled her name in the air.And on my own birthday, I would stand on the roof of the tallest building in the school and stare at the beautiful fireworks before looking down.Sometimes, I wondered whether they would remember me after I died. But whenever I had the urge to do it, I would reme

Aaron frowned. Whenever he talked to me, he always looked impatient.“Lydia is kind and will always choose to forgive you, but I’m not the same. You should remember how I punished you in the past. If you come back with me to apologize now, I can still forgive you.”How could I possibly forget?Aaron never treated me as his sister.Otherwise, he would not have locked me up in the basement and forgotten about me when Lydia had food poisoning. That horrible feeling of near-death filled every part of my body again, and I trembled.Cold sweat broke out on my skin.I could not hold back the wave of nausea that crashed into me, and I put a hand against the wall as I gagged. As Aaron watched me, disgust flashed in his eyes, as if he just saw something dirty. He let go of my hand.“Looks like the punishment last time isn’t enough to teach you a lesson. Stop pretending not to have heard me. You’re coming home with me now and celebrating Lydia’s birthday. Then, I won’t hold you accounta

Liam came out of the kitchen and heard what I said. He frowned and grabbed my phone to look at my mother and Jake.He sneered and said, “You’ve always wanted her to be mature and obedient, but have you forgotten just who the culprits, who caused all this, are? You’re not worthy of asking her to go back now.”Before they could say anything, Liam had already ended the call for me.“Trash! All of them!” Liam helped me up and put a jacket on me before wrapping a scarf around my neck.“Let’s go.”I was puzzled. “Where to?”Liam put his hands on my head and smiled. “We’re celebrating your birthday.”The wind on the roof was really strong that night, but my palms were warm.As brilliant fireworks exploded in the sky, Liam put on a birthday hat for me and said in embarrassment, “I couldn’t buy one in time, so I just grabbed random stuff at home to make you one.“Here’s to your 22nd birthday, Maria.”I stared dazedly at the fireworks exploding in the sky for me, and I could not hold

I was sent to the hospital. When I woke up again, I had tubes sticking out of all parts of my body. The vile smell of medicine assaulted my nose.My whole family was by my bed.My mother was tearing up.“Maria, are you feeling better?”I watched these people and summoned the last bit of strength to push them away.“Go… away!”Cancer did bring me pain, but it was not even 1/1000 of the pain my family brought me.I did not want to see them again.Every single one of them made me feel disgusted.Aaron knelt down beside my bed. Despite being a man, he was wailing. He held my hand and begged for my forgiveness. “Maria, I’m sorry. I overlooked your feelings and made you go through so much. I’m really sorry. I just want you to get better.“I’ll buy you whatever you want, okay?”Despite an oxygen mask over my bloodless face, my expression was one of indifference.People were like trees. When a tree was empty inside, it could still stand tall, and everyone would still think that
